Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our MFG TEAM! As the Manufacturing Machine Operator, we need someone t o operate production equipment, monitor production parameters and make decisions on when to adjust the process.

Primary Objective

Operates production equipment, monitors production parameters, inspects or tests product for conformance to specifications, records data, and makes decisions on when to adjust the process or contact supervision for guidance.

Major Function and Scope

Operates motor vehicles, other vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools as assigned.

Repairs, maintains, and/or monitors the performance and/or operation of equipment, machinery, and /or manufacturing process as assigned to insure proper function and prevent disruption.

Operates production equipment according to standard operating procedures.

May function as a sorter, box assembler, or relief operator for the kiln or automatic sorting equipment.

Conducts tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods.

Performs additional job tasks as documented in the job task check sheet.

May stop production equipment when a safety, quality, or mechanical problem prevents equipment use or conformance to product requirements.

Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

1 year Manufacturing experience preferred.

Competencies

Primary Objective

• Operates forklift equipment.

• Maintains clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom cleaning and general office maintenance, etc.

NIGHT SHIFT: 6pm to 6am

PAY: $15.74 per hour + $0.50 night shift differential

Works 36 hours 1 week and 48 hours the other week (must be able to work every other FRI, SAT, & SUN)

Operates glaze line and inspects tile.

• Monitors glaze line equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

• Inspects tile for quality defects in the manufacturing process.

Competencies

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prepare and present concise reports in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong negotiation skills, good time management skills and the ability to think critically are important.

Primary Objective

Manages the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs including job evaluation, salary planning/administration, salary structure development/consolidation, the management incentive plan, sales commissions/quarterly incentive plan documents, and auto program reimbursements to attract, retain, and motivate associates.

Major Function and Scope

• Directs and conducts analysis on current organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for improved effectiveness.

• Directs and conducts job analysis on new or restructured jobs determining appropriate grade assignments and ensuring internal equity. Oversees periodic audits of position classifications.

• Manages the administration of salary adjustments and incentive programs (including performance appraisals, salary adjustments, sales commission/quarterly incentive plan documents, management incentive participation and payouts.).

• Partners with Finance Department providing data for Annual Bonus accruals and compensation information to create annual budgets for the subsequent year. Performs Annual bonus calculations for approximately 200 employees.

• Oversees auto program administration of approximately 450 drivers and recommends changes to improve the program and simplify administration.

• Manages the review process of proposed salary actions to ensure adherence to established guidelines, budgets, and policies. Advises management on compensation actions for employees.

• Recommends adjustments to salary structures and total salary increase budget in response to changing organizational needs and market demands.

• Develops and implements salary administration guidelines.

• Ensures the completion of position descriptions to ensure accuracy and a consistent format.

• Researches special compensation programs and incentive systems to support organization's objectives.

• Conducts compensation training as part of management training curriculum.

• Oversees administration of Chairman's Club program and Plant Incentive program.

• Oversees and administers severance.

• Conducts and participates in compensation surveys or special compensation studies for purposes of maintaining the company's competitive position within the market place.

• Performs other analytical duties as required.

• Maintain credentials and membership with professional associations to ensure company is kept abreast of trends within the market (compensation issues and legislative/regulatory trends).

• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to Compensation.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• Requires a bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field or equivalent training/experience that will provide a working knowledge of laws, regulations, practices, and procedures within the field of compensation. Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred.

• 6 or more years of progressive Compensation experience.

• In Office , no hybrid or remote option

Competencies

Primary Objective

Major Function and Scope

• Conducts weekly sales calls - includes servicing existing customer as well as cold calling potential customers (average 4-5 cold calls per week).

• Prepares weekly -Sales- and -Call- reports.

• Develops monthly strategy for sales calls and prepares monthly travel calendar based on that strategy.

• Conducts area market analysis of top accounts in each area - include top Dealers, top Contractors and top Builders.

• Researches area market product data to determine the types, styles and sizes most commonly purchased in the area to determine sales strategy.

• Grows market share by increasing sales and sales volume while maintaining company approved product margin goals.

• Completes -Positive Action Forms- for all cold calls resulting in a display, rack and/or sale.

• Utilizes influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer's showrooms.

• Conducts client follow-ups via phone calls, letters and/or emails.

• Establishes and maintains client files and performs timely follow up on programs and projects.

• Provides PK seminars to customers.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma and some college highly preferred. Computer skills to include functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes/email. Clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.

4 years prior selling experience. Prior customer service experience is a plus. Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment is required.

• Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and project development/support ensuring the completion of selection/sales for all customers. Where applicable utilizing Auto-CAD Project Management.

• Logs all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes in CMT. Effectively communicates with customers and internal team members to follow lead and ensure tracking/follow up and sales closure. Reports sales closures monthly.

• Promotes showroom through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating on a diverse customer base to optimize exposure. Plans and hosts events to draw new customers into the Showroom. (Min. 1 large event/2 small events per quarter). Attends industry related events to network and promote the showroom.

• Recruits, trains, leads and develops associates in all areas of job specific responsibilities. Provides leadership and direction to employees in the pursuit of Showroom objectives. Clearly defines goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and communicate these objectives to the staff on a regular basis. Plans and prepares work schedules, assigns staff to specific duties, supervises, and keeps operating records.

• Maintains showroom samples and merchandising including ordering, receiving, and maintaining samples and displays. Ships customer samples as needed to drive sales. Complies with Marketing's standards for proper merchandising of showroom, including new product launches and drops. Researches and monitors industry trend maintains contact with suppliers/locally sourced vendors and determines what 3rd party products should be added to optimize product specifications.

• Prepares and coordinates sales promotion activities. Maintains and updates design aid tools that help secure customer sales.

• Responsible for the safe operations of the Gallery including proper opening and closing of the store. Responsible for securing expensive assets.

• Resolves customer complaints when they arise.

• Works in a team environment and collaborates with SSC Managers, Arch Reps, Sales Reps and showroom staff to optimize sales.

• Performs other duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Required

Requires Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience, 1+ years of management experience preferred

OR, 4 additional years' experience in lieu of degree

(7 years total experience)

Competencies

Excellent oral, written, listening, communication and management skills necessary to effectively interact with team members, management, and other internal and external customers to build positive relationships.

Business acumen and strategic thinking

Advanced design skills. Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize a range of creative and imaginative solutions with ease, using creative skills to document and sell them to client.

Versed on design trends and customer buying habits.

Computer skills - MSOffice, MSWord, Excel and Power point. Knowledge of CMT a plus.
