Overview

To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by Navy Federal Credit Union including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; lending products; and credit/debit cards. To perform advanced platform banking functions with minimal supervision. Provide assistance/training to lower level team members.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans

  • Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications

  • Counsel current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services

  • Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly

  • Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration

  • Perform platform banking functions

  • Assist level I team members

  • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services

Overview

To plan and manage the governance of enterprise project portfolios, including developing and implementing framework, methodology, measurements for proposing, approving, and reviewing projects, programs, and services, and techniques in identifying, quantifying, and tracking the realization of expected benefits. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an enterprise program team focused on planning, managing and governing key initiatives and enterprise capabilities

  • Lead and facilitate cross functional planning team that can build the view, and support planning discussions among the owners of the work, to include resources, dependencies and sequencing across portfolios

  • Coordinate and synchronize portfolios via regular planning sessions to provide a common understanding of the current work streams, backlog and outcomes

  • Monitor processes, tasks, and metrics associated with the enterprise project portfolios, and measure performance against the baseline scope, budget, time, and resources

Overview

A CICS and MQ Systems Programmer at Navy Federal Credit Union provides 24x7x365 administrative, configuration, troubleshooting, and software deployment support for CICS Transaction Server, WebSphere MQ, and supporting software products. The CICS and MQ systems programmer is responsible for maintaining the high availability production CICS and MQ environments as well as a number of test CICS environments. Overview

Core Payments is seeking a Senior Technology Product Analyst to contribute to the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of Money Movement products within the Core Payments portfolio including ACH, Wires, Cashier Checks, Western Union, and other integrated systems and applications. This role with collaborate with a variety of teams across the enterprise including architecture, product, platform, and business aligned to deliver on enterprise strategy and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership in solution design, analysis, and strategies involved in modernization and migration of on-premises workloads to Azure cloud.

  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding architecture and design, process flows, configurations, operations, support and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Work closely with Technical Product Owner, Scrum Masters, Dev leads, and Business partners.

  • Prepare and present technical design specifications, requirements, and process flows using systems engineering best practices.

  • Create reports, and dashboards for analysis using Power BI, Excel, or Database Queries.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert with hands-on experience with cloud technologies, tools and methodologies with a particular focus on Microsoft Azure. The role is suited for an experienced Cloud Engineer with proven understanding in enterprise security and will focus on building tool sets and processes to support Navy's Cloud program.

Navy's Cloud Organization fosters a collaborative environment and is building a best-in-class Cloud program that protects Navy Federal information and cloud compute environments.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and drive execution for integrated security controls across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) for Navy's Azure environment.

  • Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current risks and threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and manager audiences.

  • Drive Identity and Access Management (IAM), configuration management, and monitoring strategy for Azure.

Overview

Technical Accounting is a team within Corporate Accounting, along with the operational accounting, accounting policy, internal risk and controls, and financial reporting teams. We work together to create accurate financial reports. The Technical Accounting team focuses on accounting areas of higher judgment or estimation, including current expected credit loss, fair value estimates, investments, derivatives, and more, as well as producing data driven analytics to support these areas. In addition to our team's review and analysis of financial statement line items and monthly close activities, we are focused on finding areas of improvement in existing processes and controls.

We are looking for a driven individual with an understanding of GAAP and/or financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. The associate can expect to participate in the preparation of financial reports, analyze actual financial data, create analytics, learn more about our general ledger software, and assist with other accounting projects and activities. The intern will need to be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking and should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. The intern should also be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.

The year-round intern will assist with developing analytics, process improvements, and/or control enhancements related to our CECL reserves process and management reporting enhancements for various other high estimation accounting areas. The intern will work directly with executives though VP.

The year-round intern position will begin in Fall 2024. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Determine appropriate documentation for lien placement; prepare letters/forms and forward to member; track and follow-up to ensure forms are returned

  • Review member account data and/or documentation to ensure data is accurate, up-to-date and in compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures

  • Analyze, search, and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans

  • Release titles, reverse loan rates and recommend account refinances and/or changes of collateral on accounts that do not comply with loan guidelines

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures

  • Maintain systematic, consistent, and reliable notes and contact history information on each member interaction and action taken on accounts

  • Advise Supervisor and peers of regulatory and/or procedural changes implemented by titling agencies

  • Contact registered owners, state and federal titling agencies, vehicle dealerships, etc. to resolve discrepancies with title issues and loan compliance; identify and perform related follow-up actions

  • Track and update action items in databases

  • Maintain and administer Navy Federal's collateral tracking database

  • Collect, prepare, and maintain data for analysis, reports and reference

  • Monitor, review, interpret and process requests, initiate adjustments within defined scope of authority

  • Operate and maintain standard office equipment

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external documentation and disclosure requirements

Overview

The Collateral Control team is responsible for securing Navy Federal as the first lienholder on all paper and electronic titles, thereby collateralizing the loan. Collateral Control services titles by providing lien releases for those titles attached to paid off loans, or by releasing titles on a temporary basis as needed for registration purposes or to accommodate changes to registered owner information. Collateral Control supports:

  • Navy Federal Members

  • Contact Center Operations

To perform difficult work to ensure collateralized loans have valid and appropriate proof of ownership to minimize Navy Federal financial risk. Verify accounts comply with promissory notes and loan guidelines. Establish cooperative relationships with internal and external partners to ensure procedures are adhered to. Research, resolve, and respond to inquiries/issues from members, state DMVs, dealerships, and others concerning collateral issues and loan compliance. Work is performed under moderate supervision. This is a year-round, Full or Part -Time, flexible internship based on school schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present to management and/or affected business unit summaries, operational and regulatory risk assessment reports, trending, and remedial or mitigation solutions

  • Maintain effective communication with other business units and support teams to remediate errors and assist with implementation of corrective actions related to non-compliance with policies and procedures

  • Analyze Internal and External Audit reports and recommend enhancements to the risk assessment process

  • Partner and maintain effective working relationships with management to evaluate the progress of risk assessments and key issues raised during the review process and to facilitate the overall improvement of internal control structures
