LabCorp seeking a Service Representative/Courier to join our team in Bristol, PA. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.
Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am-1:00pm-Per diem
Work Location: Bristol, PA
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work .
Job Responsibilities:
Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups
Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift
Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years' old
Previous driver/courier experience is preferred
Customer service experience is a plus
Very punctual with strong time management skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve customer issues
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Job Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the non-technical staff for the Accessioning department
Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
Directly supervise, train, and mentor non-technical personnel of the department
Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate coverage
Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed
Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary
Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents
Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development
Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures
Valid Driver's License and good driving record for travel to other locations as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree
Previous relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratory
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
Prior accessioning/lab experience preferred
Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position

Major Tasks:
Works with leaders on complex ER cases with minimal supervision
Handles investigations into sensitive matters including but not limited to; violations of Labcorp's Anti-Harassment, EEO, Code of Conduct, Compliance, Conditions of Employment, Workplace Violence policies, gross misconduct, theft, or violation of federal, state, or local law
Provides coaching and guidance to leaders on workplace concerns that require ER support; may not always work a matter to close - at times will provide coaching and then transition a case to another team member for follow up and close out
Advises on formal processes in accordance with Labcorp policies and appropriate regulatory guidelines. (i.e., attendance issues, failure to follow SOPs, quality issues, investigations, and performance matters) and local labor laws
Participates and may lead employee relations projects and activities
Coordinates information with other ER team members to ensure compliance with federal state and local country requirements
Preparation of delivery of training for leaders based on insights gained from case metrics
Works with the metrics team to supply additional intelligence around case numbers for their business unit in order to inform ER interventions and recommend solutions
May be required to work across the global team as appropriate
Experience/skills required:
Minimum of 5 years of Employee Relations experience
Proven HR experience and interest in employee relations
Good sound knowledge of relevant employment and labor laws
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues
Proven customer service focus and organizational skills; ability to prioritize issues that are time sensitive
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Ability to conduct a thorough and complete investigation and train others on investigative process
Ability to summarize cases succinctly and give case reviews if required (to peers/legal/ER leaders) in order to make recommendations to the business
Education/skills required:
Undergraduate degree in business, law, human resources, or related subject is preferred
Appropriate HR Certification is preferred (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CIPD, etc.)
Extensive experience may also be considered in place of more formal qualifications.
Experience/skills preferred:
Awareness of multiple HR disciplines and processes (i.e., compensation, benefits, talent acquisition).
Familiarity with case management tools and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Labcorp policies and ability to refer managers and employees to relevant policies, tools, documents, etc.

The work schedule for this position will be: 2nd shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:30pm.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Aid in identification of microorganisms such as Acid Fast Bacilli (AFB), fungi, and others through a variety of methods including: special stains, antigen detection, DNA probes, culture reading, PCR, Sequencing, MALD-TOF, and others.
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, assisting customer service and specimen management, and problem solving to ensure accurate results and compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science required
Previous experience is not required at the Technologist Trainee level
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

About the Team:
It is the mission of Labcorp's Corporate Supply Chain Operations Department Logistics team to engage those components of Labcorp's Strategic plan that rely on or are affected by any phase of the Logistics operation. The Corporate Logistics team promote operational efficiency between operating divisions as a champion of Best Practices and the application of the Logistics Technology available.
Our primary goals include: SOP and process standardization, creating and maintaining training materials relevant to the technologies utilized, creating and analyzing impactful metrics, utilization of the available technology to create route efficiencies and ensure the appropriate specimen flow into our branches and labs.
Internship Assignment Summary:
The intern would report directly to the Logistics Technology Manager in the Supply Chain department with dotted lines to team members based on project. Goal would be to expose the intern to as many team members and labcorp professionals as possible during their time in the department. The Intern will gain valuable experience that will help develop their decision regarding a future career path in the healthcare industry.
Work in support of Labcorp's Transportation Management Software with project possibilities in data and/or cost analysis, training and competency documentation, and process improvement.
Assist in evaluating best practices for routing optimizations utilizing the Transportation Management software.
Other duties as assigned.
Some limited Domestic travel may be required.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Working towards a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Project Management, or related Health Care field
Ability to work with others in a team environment

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
