The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on an Annuity Case Coordinator to join our Insurance Operations organization in a work from home environment.
Background Details
As an Annuity Case Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing new business applications. You will process increasingly complex data and financial transactions, ensuring all information is complete and in good order. You will communicate with financial advisors and/or wholesalers to provide not in good order (NIGO) information for pending business. Additionally, you will share general knowledge across the team to build technical capabilities across the business area. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on!
What you'll be doing
You will process increasingly complex data and financial transactions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines independently, in a timely manner and meeting departmental quality/production standards. You will ensure the information is complete and in good order. You will also create and maintain up to date procedural documentation as needed.
You will communicate verbally and in written form effectively with applicable internal and external stakeholders to obtain increasingly complex needed information while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. You will also communicate regularly with management on recognized trends of issues and/or concerns.
You will resolve increasingly complex customer contract discrepancies by investigating documentation and determining applicable adjustments. You may create new contracts as needed.
You will provide customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders, recognizing what needs to be done to meet customer needs and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to meet customer needs.
You will share knowledge and information and/or enable less experienced team members to perform their assignments.
You will recognize general issues/concerns and identify/recommend process improvements to positively influence the team and quality.
What we're looking for
Must-have experience (Required):
High School Diploma or GED or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience.
0-1+ Years for candidates with an Associate's degree or above, 0-1 year of Client Customer Support and Operations experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
3-5+ years of Client Customer Support and Operations experience aligned with the responsibilities for this position.
Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
Ability to use sound judgement and discretion regarding confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer navigation skills.
Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
Solid relationship management skills with internal and/or external clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers).

The pay range for this position is $25.24 - $32.45 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. The Actuarial Development Program (ADP) at Lincoln Financial Group is an industry-leading program that demonstrates Lincoln Financial' s commitment to creating highly qualified business leaders. As an ADP participant, you'll be able to explore your unique interests while developing the essential actuarial, technical, management, communication, and leadership skills you need to succeed. The Actuarial Development Program includes a series of rotations, typically every 18-24 months. As an Annuity Case Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing new business applications. You will process increasingly complex data and financial transactions, ensuring all information is complete and in good order. You will communicate with financial advisors and/or wholesalers to provide not in good order (NIGO) information for pending business. As the Retirement Plan Document Auditor , you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team consulting on and reviewing 401(a)/(k), 403(b), and 457(b) retirement plan documents for new and takeover plans, as well as client-requested and IRS-required restatements and amendments. As Auditor, you will perform a thorough quality-review of team members' work to ensure each plan's design meets our clients' needs, while observing Lincoln's service offerings, and adhering to legislative and regulatory compliance standards. Monitor EDI requests and ensures timely responses in gathering necessary information, addressing questions, and providing appropriate layouts/file formats for EDI processing.
Act as a liaison between Account Management, internal EDI resources, and third-party partners to ensure all stakeholders understand optimal policy setup, per EDI guidelines, to facilitate efficient automation and onboarding.
Participate in pre- and post-sales calls with brokers and customers; outlines pros & cons of onboarding approach in terms of compatibility with automated EDI processing; proactively advises on potential changes in approach that can enable automation.
Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.
Coordinate with internal EDI resources and third-party partners to validate appropriate file configuration and ensure successful initial & on-going transmission and processing of files.
Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.
Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.
Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.
Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality while supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.

The Group Protection Operations Team will help you grow your technical knowledge and establish strong partnerships (internally/externally) while working in this fast-paced environment.
As an EDI Onboarding Associate, you will be responsible for delivering on EDI onboarding and implementation assignments & projects. You will support pre- and post-sales activity in providing guidance regarding compatibility of proposed onboarding approach with EDI processes. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, facilitate automated EDI processing, and provide a superior onboarding experience for the customer. This opportunity will provide the ability to grow within the group insurance industry while gaining new skills and building strong working relationships. What you'll be doing
Monitor EDI requests and ensures timely responses in gathering necessary information, addressing questions, and providing appropriate layouts/file formats for EDI processing.
Act as a liaison between Account Management, internal EDI resources, and third-party partners to ensure all stakeholders understand optimal policy setup, per EDI guidelines, to facilitate efficient automation and onboarding.
Participate in pre- and post-sales calls with brokers and customers; outlines pros & cons of onboarding approach in terms of compatibility with automated EDI processing; proactively advises on potential changes in approach that can enable automation.
Implement standard inbound file feeds for both new customers and ongoing maintenance request including not limited to demographic/eligibility files.
Coordinate with internal EDI resources and third-party partners to validate appropriate file configuration and ensure successful initial & on-going transmission and processing of files.
Provide ongoing File Support to installed customers, including technical troubleshooting for Level 2 File Support requests.
Act as a testing resource for general strategic initiatives.
Work with the third-party benefit administration partners to expedite resolution of any escalated file issues; collaborate with partners to research root causes and recommend improvements to processes/file formats to avoid future issues.
Identify, recommend, and champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality while supporting and promoting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.

4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)
1+ Years of experience in EDI processing and automation directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role OR 1+ Years of experience in Group Protection in customer facing roles directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)
Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated strong customer service experience

The pay range for this position is $42,300 - $75,500 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
