The Defense Systems Sector within Leidos, is seeking a talented Junior Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos-Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Junior Systems Engineer will work in a matrixed organization at Leidos-Dynetics, supporting the Enduring Shield Program on a team consisting of three other Systems and Reliability engineers. The candidate will join a diverse team of systems engineers within.A candidate with experience in other systems engineering areas such as Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Analyses, Model-Based Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, and Risk Management will be treated preferentially. However, a BS in Systems Engineering (SE) or in Electrical Engineering (EE) is what is required for this position.
Primary Responsibilities
The Junior Systems Engineer will work with other reliability engineers on large programs associated with the DoD, DARPA, NASA, and commercial applications. The selected candidate will perform RAM analyses such as reliability prediction, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), reliability block diagrams (RBD), Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), obsolescence, etc. The selected candidate will also perform Systems Engineering duties such as developing requirements specifications derived from customer needs, interfacing with program management and design engineers to support the program's systems engineering needs throughout its design life cycle, including modeling system behavior, defining the system architecture, dictating system interfaces, performing requirements verification, helping develop test programs, and maintaining configuration management.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical/engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Educational or Professional experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
Position requires candidate to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.

Primary Responsibilities
The Modeling and Simulation Engineering Lead will spearhead the design, development, and validation of a sophisticated modeling and simulation environment for high-power systems. This role involves managing multiple teams creating physics-based dynamical models for AC/DC electrical power systems, power electronics, thermal-fluid systems, and directed-energy systems. The incumbent will define the architecture, functional specifications, and interfaces for integrating system-of-systems dynamical models, encompassing various engineering disciplines such as electrical, software, and thermal-fluids. Key responsibilities include conducting simulation studies to verify control system performance against customer requirements, utilizing techniques such as Monte Carlo studies. Additionally, the lead will support the development, integration, and testing of control system electronic hardware and software, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow.
Basic Qualifications
The candidate must have experience in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer to join a talented team within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. You will be a part of a diverse team of test engineers, system engineers, software developers and analysts supporting our customer's software product test capabilities and internal testing in a missile defense modeling and simulation environment.

Keeping sensitive law enforcement and intelligence data secure is a key mission for the FBI. We are seeking a candidate to support the FBI's cross domain system (CDS) that facilitates secure access to sensitive data. The candidate will join a small team charged that is responsible for providing Operations & Maintenance support on existing CDS systems. The support activities will include deployment of new systems, integration of new technologies and services, and troubleshooting data flows by applying diverse skills in system engineering, administration, management, and security. This includes providing immediate response and problem resolution to critical system incident tickets. The candidate will have significant direct contact with the immediate customer and the organization's CDS staff.
It is important to note that this position is part of a team that supports 24 X 7 X 365 continuous presence at one of three (3) designated FBI processing facilities.

Leidos is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a high performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a nationally significant and fast-paced cryptographic key management program.
