This is a Senior/SME position for the network engineering team, providing network engineering expertise over a Global LAN/WAN enterprise. The well qualified candidate will possess and apply comprehensive knowledge regarding the engineering and implementation of network transport solutions. The candidate must be capable of planning and leading the testing, implementation, and maintenance of networking (LAN/WAN) technologies and devices. The candidate must be capable of evaluating performance results, performing risk assessments, and recommending changes affecting network transport configuration/implementation. The position directly supports DoS on-site and hybrid work schedule to provide network engineering services to over 100,000 customers globally.

This role is hybrid with 2 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities include:

• Works directly with the DoS customer to build, design, test and deploy enterprise network transport solutions utilizing Cisco routers/switches.

• Develop and deploy network engineering solutions in compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards.

• Collaborate with technical SMEs on enterprise-wide solutions, participate in technical working groups, and contribute to technical advisory boards.

• Participate in peer review of network configuration change requests prior to deployment.

• Implementation of configuration changes.

• Tier III Support and Maintenance activities.

• Service Requests: monitor, resolve, update and close service request tickets.

• Documenting network infrastructure components, drawings.

• Assist in developing and documenting procedures and processes.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a computer science/computer engineering related discipline; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.

• 10+ years IT security/network engineering support experience. (Engineering, Tier II, Tier III, network infrastructure implementation and maintenance)

• Solid understanding and analysis of network flows and OSI model.

• Experience implementing large enterprise/global network solutions.

• Expert experience in BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE, DMVPN, IPSEC, MACSEC, Multicast, Unicast.

• Expert experience with Cisco network platforms: routers, switches, VPN concentrators, network management. (ISR/ASR/Nexus)

• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

• Experience working directly with Government customer.

• Technical writing and documentation/diagram skills. (MS Visio/MS Word/MS Excel).

Required Clearance:

• US Citizenship.

• Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP.

The following capabilities are typical of support tasks: equivalent of event planners, trainers, response cell, data collection, and assessment; after action reporting, policy analysts, instructors (i.e. journeyman instructor), courseware and doctrine developers; and scenario developers, and event execution support staff. They are subject matter experts in their fields of expertise.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced training program analyst and SME in certification of strike groups and independent deployers (ID). He/she will have experience with the budgetary requirements and use of metrics to capture cost, readiness, and training performance. SAIC is hiring a Senior Executive Assistant to provide executive level management and analytical support to Senior DoD officials within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). This is an exciting position that requires close interaction with top department leadership within the Pentagon and across the Department of Defense (DoD), including Components, industry partners, academia, international partners, and associations to achieve mission goals and outcomes. Specifically, the Executive Assistant helps our customers solve complex problems; manage meetings, schedules, risk, policy compliance, and office operations; plan and track travel, budgets, and reporting; and increase workforce productivity through process improvement.

This position is located in Arlington, VA and is hybrid remote.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage executive schedules, coordinate visit requests, de-conflict events for senior-level principals.

• Gather information; articulate, analyze, and solve problems; visualize/present information; and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes.

• Create/manage communications for the enterprise, group, and individuals including meeting agendas, briefings, and action items.

• Develop weekly reports on significant activities and report on the effectiveness of events and processes.

• Arrange for appropriate conference rooms/facilities and prepare meeting places in accordance with acceptable protocol and security procedures.

• Assist with special event requirements and travel arrangements.

• Attend senior level meetings, take notes, track task deadlines, and follow up with relevant stakeholders.

• Review and route senior-level executive correspondence, ensuring compliance with established DoD correspondence standards.

• Assist government personnel with domestic and international travel to accomplish mission requirements efficiently using the Defense Travel System (DTS) in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Identify and submit work orders to ensure office facilities remain fully functional and operational.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.

• Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years or more relative experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more relative experience. Additional years of experience and/or military experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

• Strong problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to communicate and work with senior executives efficiently and effectively (to include experience interfacing/communicating with senior executive leadership in government or industry).

• Strong experience in writing/editing memos and correspondence.

• Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Background in National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requirements for records and information management.

• At least 3 years of direct administrative support experience with senior-level military or civilian officials.

• Familiarity with the Defense Travel System (DTS).

Job responsibilities:

• Work to design/sustain innovative Air Force software, primarily on-premise at the Headquarters, Air Combat Command (Ryan Center), Langley AFB, VA, with occasional remote work days.

• Support the design, implementation, and documentation of architectures, including the software, hardware, and communications to support the total customer requirements.

• Ensure these C2 applications are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems and DOD architectures and security standards.

• Identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, including hardware and software updates or upgrades.

Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems and 5 years or more experience; other experience and industry certifications will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

• Must be eligible for DoD Secret clearance.

• 4-5 years programming experience with programming languages (C#, C++, JavaScript, ASP.net, Visual Basic), that includes Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, and Integration.

• Experience in database development (e.g., SQL Server), web page design, computer based Training, and using .NET tools and Integrated Development Environments (e.g., Visual Studio) in software development.

• Experience supporting the development of web-based and client/server applications with secure software design and development, and multiple language development processes and tools/utilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current DoD Secret clearance.

• Security + (DoD 8570 Level 2) certification.

• Experience working with scheduling, performance, fielding, compliance with DoD and Air Force IT standards, and security and accreditation.

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and development to support rapid prototyping and development is highly desirable.

• Experience with modern MVC, REST, and Web API standards using Microsoft technologies is desirable.

• Experience with JMPS (Joint Mission Planning System) is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of military air mission planning, scheduling, and execution, and operations is highly desirable.

• Experience in Microsoft Windows System Administration is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with client-server architectures hosting planning capabilities and web-based architecture.

• Relevant industry technical/leadership certifications: Certified Scrummaster (CSM), AWS/Azure cloud practitioner certifications, or others.
