This role requires a deep understanding of database failover and recovery, backups, migration of on-premises databases to AWS, and proficiency with AWS CloudWatch. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring database performance, availability, and security, and experienced in handling data warehouses.
Job Responsibilities:
. Database Management: Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of databases.
. Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required to ensure optimal performance.
. Failover and Recovery: Design and execute database backup and recovery strategies, including failover planning and testing.
. Migration and Upgrade: Lead migration projects from on-premises databases to AWS, including planning, execution, and validation of database migrations and upgrades.
. Security and Compliance: Ensure database security measures are in place, including access controls and audit logging. Comply with all applicable data privacy laws and regulations.
. Data Warehousing: Manage and optimize AWS Redshift instances and other data warehousing solutions for scalable and efficient data storage and analysis.
. Monitoring: Utilize AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to ensure database health, performance, and to automate scaling and notifications.
. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide high-level support for complex database issues, including troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, etc.
Qualifications
GOVERNMENT CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS:

. Clearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
. Location - This role will be Remote/Telework with on-site visits (Kingstowne, VA and/or Ashburn, VA) if /when needed. This team utilizes an on-call schedule which may require travel to the datacenter site(s).

SAIC is seeking a motivated and ambitious Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Computer Engineer to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center - Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center in Huntsville, AL. This position will assist engineers and technical staff in development and execution of test plans and procedures for a variety of types of tests, including but not limited to network testing, systems testing, software testing, and field / flight test events. The candidate will have experience with workflow software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Kanban based workflow management utilities. An ideal candidate will have hands on experience with test management software like SpiraTest or similar, and a desire to learn about new systems to test them effectively.

This is an opening for a Network Operations Engineer to support a Department of State (DoS) Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) Operation Division. This program provides transparent, interconnected systems and security supporting the DoS in successfully carrying out its U.S. foreign policy mission. The Operations Division provides enterprise operations and maintenance support primarily to the DoS's foreign networks around the world. SAIC's program is named "Vanguard" and is an IT consolidation consisting of the Department's domestic and foreign network switch, routers and WAN devices.
This is a shift work position for operations that are Monday - Friday 7am-8pm. Operations are expected to transition to 24/7 in the next 12 months which will require weekend support. This role requires on-site work and occasional local travel to the Dulles, VA area may be required.
Description of Duties:
Provide Tier 2 support by: monitor SEIM tools and other vendor management tools, troubleshoot network and network security devices, implements software upgrades and backups, perform configurations, and troubleshoot on cisco routers switches / firewalls / and VPN concentrators.
Troubleshoot VPN / LAN / WAN connections to isolate problems and resolution issues for remote users and local resources within the DoS network including physical media, hardware cards, Operating Systems health, inspection the TCP protocol stacks, verify routing protocols and routed protocols.
Travel to our data center to perform hand-on network hardware repairs and upgrades on Cisco devices and other components.
Using COTS and GOTS tools such as Splunk to validate the health of network components.

The Navy Business Group currently has a career opportunity for a Knowledge Management (KM)/Information Management (IM) training program analyst to provide support to Tactical Training Group Atlantic (TTGL) in Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA.
The individual in this position will provide training program analysis support and serve as a fleet program analyst and KM/IM action officer for the TTGL Training Director. Program analysts have experience at the senior level including supervisory experience. Program analysts, in general, review program (specific) data, evaluate program plans/changes and assist in the preparation of documents with various senior-level, civilian and military stakeholders. They are able to analyze program information, strategize plans, produce quality analytic work in the form of information papers, white papers, briefs, and executive correspondence and effectively present the results in a clear and concise manner when required. Program analysts utilize time and government furnished equipment/information to accomplish their tasks successfully and promote program efficiencies. They are subject matter experts (SME) in their fields of expertise.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced SharePoint applications programmer/designer, Microsoft Teams user and KM/IM SME with recent applicable fleet training experience at the carrier strike group staff level. In addition, he/she will have at least six years of applicable experience in:
. U.S. Navy training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.

The Systems Engineer will support the entire SAIC effort in support of systems requirements definition, architecture analysis, design analysis, which includes, but is not limited to:

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Senior Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Analyst supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (AF/A10), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Division (AF/A10S), Operational Analysis Branch (AF/A10SA), on behalf of Air Force Installation Management Support Center (AFIMSC) and United States Air Force Europe-Air Force Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA). Work will be performed onsite at the Pentagon or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
Responsibilities include:
. Provide technical analysis to address questions that arise in the CWMD operations (non-proliferation, targeting, interdiction, strike, counter-air/space actions) arena of USAFE-AFAFRICA ability to survive and operate (ATSO), and CBRN defense technical domains.
. Provide technical research and operational evaluations to assess, interpret, shape, and help advise AF/A10S, on behalf of AFIMSC and USAFE-AFAFRICA, regarding what operational and scientific testing results mean to operators (e.g., pilot, navigator, aircrew, loadmasters, maintainers, defenders).
. Apply results of laboratory and field testing (Department of the Air Force (DAF), Joint/Department of Defense (DoD), Ally or partner, etc.), that support the development of CBRN equipment performance criteria, technical reports and operational concepts for USAFE-AFAFRICA and AFIMSC.
. Develop and recommend concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and exercises to address and mitigate deficiencies associated with emerging CBRN threats and/or evolving Air Force employment strategies.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
. Minimum of Bachelors degree and ten years of related experience or Masters degree and eight years related experience
. Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Required Skills:
. Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements, developing and implementing strategic and tactical planning actions, and making recommendations concerning the direction of the agency's efforts to include the ability to develop short- and long-range Major Command and/or Department of the Air Force (DAF) force development and plans and strategies for major combat operations (MCO) environments.
. Expert experience with installation level CBRN defense planning, elements of the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES), and knowledge of Operational plans (OPLANS).
. Specialized expertise in installation level CBRNE attack response procedures within the context of MCO activities and technical analysis of CBRN threats.
. Expert knowledge of DAF CBRN Defense Operations in MCO environments, to include aircrew-related operations.
. Familiarity with DAF and Department of Defense (DoD) CWMD operations and doctrine.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office products

SAIC is seeking a IT Service Desk Analyst to support the Navy's Service Management, Integration and Transport Program (SMIT) at the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Virginia.
This position is located in Norfolk, VA and is therefore open to candidates local to the area only.
Program Information:
SMIT will provide secure end-to-end information technology (IT) services to more than 400,000 hardware devices used by more than 650,000 users at nearly 1,700 Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside of the Continental United States (OCONUS) sites worldwide via the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net), Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and other legacy networks.

Job Responsibilities:
Operates as the initial point of contact for customers via telephone, email or live chat to provide technical support of hardware, systems, sub-systems and/or applications
Assists end-users/customers in resolving their IT issues accurately and promptly
Takes detailed notes of the problem the user is experiencing, determines steps they can take to resolve the issue, and manages the flow of incoming support requests
Interacts with the end-user to resolve the user's technical issues
Remotely accesses the user's computer and makes changes to their system and settings by navigating around application menus, or may be required to remote into customer's computer to fix an issue. In other cases, the service desk analyst walks the user through steps they can take to resolve the issue on their own
Troubleshoots network connectivity issues, working with remote employees on a corporate network
Develops and sustains a productive customer relationship, making the customer and their needs a primary focus
May escalate complex problems to higher-level IT support specialists and experts if they are unable to resolve the issue on their own
Provides supervisors or specialists with notes regarding the problem, steps they have already taken to resolve the issue, and their diagnosis of the user's problem
Supports users by performing system tests and updates after they complete their troubleshooting and necessary repairs
Supports department-wide operations by supporting the creation, editing, and maintenance of IT documents
Qualifications
Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED and 1+ years of IT support experience; education accepted in lieu of experience

Ability to solve technical issues via telephone, email, and chat
Ability to learn customer support processes and techniques
Ability to work well with all teammates and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
