SAIC is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in support of the Army's Digital Modernization effort. This position is located onsite in Charlottesville, VA . The interested candidate will have opportunities to support a critical mission by providing network engineering, systems architecture, and security support to ensure the design, configuration, and administration of a Cisco ISE platform is maintained and satisfies all cybersecurity requirements.

Must be willing to relocate to Charlottesville, VA. Relocation assistance provided

Job Duties:

  • Configure and manage network access controls in accordance with government account management policies.

  • Support cybersecurity and information assurance services in compliance with DoD IA policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Create, update, maintain, and submit network management and security diagrams to the government.

  • Provide initial level of support for service requests, incidents, and problems.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Clearance:

  • Must have a current active TS/SCI clearance (US Citizenship required).

Required Certification:

  • DOD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II baseline certification required (Security+ or equivalent).

Required Skills:

  • Experience working with enterprise-level Cisco hardware, operating systems, and technologies across enterprise information systems and networks.

  • Experience with Cisco-based routing and switching technologies.

  • Experience with Cisco-based Access Control Lists (ACLs) to secure network traffic.

  • Experience configuring network authentication using the TACACS and RADIUS protocols.

  • Experience configuring and managing in-line encryption devices.

  • Experience with implementation and use of network monitoring, fault management, and performance analysis tools.

  • Experience with Cisco networking security solutions, technologies, and best practices to support the secure implementation and sustainment of enterprise network devices in line with IA and INFOSEC compliance and governance.

  • Experience supporting technology delivery to commercial or government clients.

The Digital Workspace Network Operations Center (DW NOC), a multi-tenant network support team, located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, currently has an opening for the position of Network Technician I. The DW NOC supports multiple client networks, in both a multi-tenant, and dedicated structures.

This role may be open to fully remote

Responsibilities and Duties:

Inspect LAN/WAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems/bugs

Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network

Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement

Test, configure, and maintain network hardware and peripheral devices

Assist End-Users is identifying and resolving network related issues

Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Networking/Engineering or related field, or 1-3 years of IT experience in a Service Desk or Direct Support position

  • Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies

  • Familiarity with the OSI and TCP/IP models and how the layers function and relate

  • Understanding of the concepts and best practices of Network Security

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Use Inventory Database Management tools such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and SharePoint for tracking inventory to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems Navy, Army, USAF, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems.

  • Support all stages of procurement process from filling out required forms, requesting Unique Material Master (UMM) numbers and extending material numbers to appropriate Storage Locations (SLOC's), tracking progress of purchases, using current database or generated excel spreadsheets.

  • Support GFE/GFP/OMS labeling and tracking process.

  • Support receiving CAC2S or Small Form Factor (SFF) or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149, Form DD1348s, Shop Workload Management System.

  • Calculate procurement lead time, repair turnaround time, spare parts health assessments based on usage, forecasting annual requirements, and assisting with forecasting demand based on previous and current data.

  • Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports to provide updated status of transactions performed and any issues encountered/resolved.

  • Procurement planning, placing procurements (PCARD, SAP, DLA) and tracking procurements.

  • Prepare and coordinate the Weekly CCB (Configuration Control Board) Drawing Reviews.

  • Analyze the Phase 1 and Phase 2 drawing package to verify parts and Next Higher Assemblies to ensure accuracy and consistency within iPDM and CMPRO database.

  • Coordinate efforts between Engineering and Drafting in processing redlines, receiving updates, and transmitting engineering reviews and approvals.

  • Upload the ECP Approved drawings to the repository CMPRO. Update the appropriate modules and tables for Part Numbers, Cage Codes, Parts list and Next Higher Assembly change/updates to the drawings.

  • Verify nomenclature, part number, CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Code, and NSN (National Stock Number) consistency within the drawing package and the availability for procurement through WebFLIS and Haystack.

  • Redline drawings for discrepancies and documenting changes within the drawing package to reflect correct Part Numbers, CAGE Codes and Nomenclatures for CCB (Configuration Control Board) approval.

  • Maintain ECP Matrix for tracking CAC2S individual drawings.

  • Update monthly CSAR (Configuration Status Accounting Report).

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Must be proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook.

  • Must be proficient in the use of database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and SharePoint.

  • Must be experienced in Inventory Database Management and tracking to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems such as Navy Registry or other Navy, Army, USAF, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems.

  • Must be experienced in completion of forms DD1149 and DD1348.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and also in a team environment.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both sitting while working at a desk/computer and working on his or her feet.

  • Must not have limited mobility precluding reaching overhead, stooping/kneeling or making repetitive motions.

SECURITY REQUIREMENT:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start.

  • Leads technical requirements development, systems engineering, and oversees development contractor to develop, design, produce, integrate and test space systems.

  • Oversees payload integration and interface control management.

  • Performs system integration of multiple efforts to integrate complex space systems, ground segment integration, and deployment into operations.

  • Manage and negotiate interface control documents with external stakeholders.

  • Performs systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition, interface definition, design, interface management, data architecture development, systems integration, performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis, and development and refinement of communications concepts of operation.

  • Oversees requirements verification and validation.

  • Makes program risks assessments and provides actionable recommendations to the chief engineer and program manager.

  • Independently collaborates with Government program office representatives, FFRDC, SETA, and contractor personnel.

Qualifications

This is you:

  • Bachelor of Science and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Master's and sixteen (16) years or more experience or an additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and be willing to consent to a polygraph examination.

  • Experience with space systems development, integration, and/or operations of DoD or other Agency (NRO, NSA, NASA, etc.).

  • Experience leading systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space and/or ground systems.

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

The Horizon Program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Department of Defense major capability acquisition process. Horizon team members provide systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. The responsibilities for this positions include:

  • Provide expert advice to the Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution and draft the necessary documentation (ESIS, ASP, ASD, J&A, Source Selection Strategy, etc.).

  • Provide contracting assistance to technical personnel involved in development of statement of work or data deliverable requirements for variety of pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions (e.g., SOW, CDRLs, Incentive Plans, etc.).

  • Assist with contract negotiation, price reasonableness determination, administration, and termination procedures.

  • Assist the contracting office in preparing contract modifications and supporting documentation for actions such as funding, award fee, period of performance extensions, and admin modifications.

  • Develop and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02, and relevant DoD, AF, and Space Systems Command policies.

  • Draft technical evaluations and function as an advisor in source selections.

  • Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements.

  • Monitor & evaluate contractor performance for compliance with contract terms/conditions & ensures timely submission of contract deliverables.

Qualifications

This position will further provide recommendations on process improvements and communications throughout each period of performance. In this role the analyst will contribute or be responsible for:

SAIC is looking for a Electronics Technician Maintenance II with Naval asset experience to support the U.S Navy in Bedford, IN .

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • The management of individualized sub-assemblies which include large cabinet type structures, power supplies, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards, cabling and assorted materials.

  • The candidate will be responsible for depopulation of these items and tasked with coordinating with other team members to ensure proper proper storage, transportation and auditing of this inventory.

  • In addition to these efforts there will be large amounts of items which are planned to be decommissioned from ships and the candidate will be asked to integrate those into the storage facility.

  • The candidate will be asked to travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane often. The candidate will responsible for providing support to document the disassembly process and support procedural development and will assist with Bill of Materials Development as needed. SWMS will be utilized to track inventory and to produce inventory reports for the purposes of updating the customer.

  • High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience working in electronics; OR Associate's Degree and electronics training

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; not needed to start

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Familiar with Military packaging, handling and marking of assets for shipment and storage
