MANAGER, TOOLING BUILD ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS (STARSHIP)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ultimately responsible for the delivery and activation of production tooling
Hire, develop, and lead a team of production operations engineers, build engineers, and tooling production groups to execute and deliver tooling solutions for Starship and Super Heavy Booster
Coach and steer the tooling production and engineering teams, as well as others supporting the fabrication, precision assembly, and activation of critical factory tooling to think strategically about work practices and methods to optimize time and quality
Develop and implement sustainable business processes needed for the successful completion of the projects assigned to the groups that fall within the organization
Identify opportunities where continuous improvement can be made to the current work practices and ethos and ensure all processes are documented correctly and consistently followed
Manage development performance of all direct reports, ensuring all agreed objectives are achieved and every shift has the right skills available and are properly balanced across the shifts
Manage via key performance indicators and annual operating plan
Source, retain, and advise new and experienced vendors from a technical perspective
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, or other technical discipline
3+ years of hands-on experience in a tooling or aerospace fabrication production shop
3+ years of experience in a leadership position
2+ years of experience with technical project management or manufacturing design
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Proven track record of guiding a team of highly skilled technicians through complex projects in hazardous environments while managing risks to the health & safety of those individuals
Proven track record of developing a team of specialized mechanical/manufacturing engineers to project manage, source, plan, and activate custom assemblies and systems
Tooling manufacturing experience within the aerospace, automotive, or other large format fabrication industries
Familiarity with managing a team with diverse expertise in a demanding environment
Significant exposure to a wide variety of fabrication, assembly, and integration methodologies and quality standards
Ability to bring multiple departments with different priorities together and steer them to a common goal
High computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Proficiency in supplier management, including outsourcing initiatives, supplier audits, and defect resolution
Experience working with production lean principles
Thorough understanding of SpaceX business systems
Strong communication and technical skills
Detail oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high sense of urgency
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
Ability to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum
Comfortable with climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Typically exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain
Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise

PROCESS PLANNER, INTEGRATION (SUPER HEAVY BOOSTER)
Process planners are critical to upholding a high standard of manufacturing planning and process to build and test orbital Starship and Super Heavy faster than anyone thought possible. Starship integration will make or break the rate at which Starships are produced, and we are looking to build a team to tackle this challenge. Starship will be the world's most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, with the ability to carry in excess of 100 metric tons to Earth orbit. In order to meet this goal, we ultimately need thousands of ships to establish a self-sustaining base in Mars or the Moon.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Starship Booster integration team by creating technical specifications and work instructions for mechanical hardware integration, electrical checkouts, and fluids operations
Interpret manufacturing/assembly drawings and process specifications to create accurate technician-level work instructions that fully conform to design requirements
Create, revise, and maintain graphics-heavy, user-friendly instruction and process documents to produce and test flight hardware and ground support equipment
Incorporate redlines/edits from engineers into existing technical specifications, test procedures, and technician-level work instructions
Optimize order of operations and assembly sequence to maximize build efficiency and reduce the probability of technician error
Convert existing specification documents into standardized templates and perform formatting overhauls in Microsoft Word
Interact with engineering, subject matter experts, and shop floor personnel to ensure that work instructions are accurate and comprehensible
Act as subject matter expert on proprietary enterprise software systems and lead initiatives to improve feature sets and workflows
Develop conventions and process templates to drive standardization of planning efforts across the Starship program
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in aerospace, avionics, manufacturing, industrial engineering or production; or 3+ years of experience working in a construction/manufacturing setting
1+ years of professional experience with manufacturing processes, including fluid, electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience converting engineering instructions and information into content intended for a variety of audiences and ability levels
2+ years of experience in manufacturing planning or technical writing within the automotive, technology, or aerospace industry
Experience with 2D and 3D graphics and both raster-and-vector based image-editing software
Knowledge of fluids system schematics, procedures and reading technical drawings
Urgency to complete and improve repeated tasks that will require expertise and attention to detail
Experience with HTML, CSS, SQL, and JavaScript

Process planners are critical to upholding a high standard of manufacturing planning and process to build and test orbital Starship and Super Heavy faster than anyone thought possible. RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROPULSION BUILD ENGINEER (STARSHIP)
The Propulsion Build Engineer role is responsible for developing build processes, tooling, and designs for manufacturability that will enable high rate manufacturing of vehicle fluid systems. This role will involve heavy engagement with both the design teams and the build teams across the program. The role demands close interaction with the Starship and Super Heavy hardware, including participating in and driving the physical builds and installation of the propulsion systems.
Propulsion Build Engineers will be highly engaged in the fabrication of a wide range of pressurized components and systems, including designing tooling (assembly aide, welding, part fixturing, etc.) and processes (welding, tube bending, pipe fitting, large part movement, and large structure integration) to rapidly build the Starship and Super Heavy vehicles. The role can include designing pressurized test setups, working with cryogenic fluids, and executing testing and data review. Further along in the build, this role will be responsible for items such as integration operations sequencing, and working with technicians on installing flight-critical hardware on the vehicle. Propulsion Build Engineers will be expected to sometimes act as de-facto supervisors and advisors to production technicians, welders, and other skilled labor partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop manufacturing processes, techniques, and tools to enable efficient and high rate manufacturing
Work with the design engineering team to drive simplicity into the vehicle fluids systems at every level
Guide a team of technicians, welders, and fabricators in building high quality and functional fluid systems hardware

SUPERVISOR, NON-DESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION
This position will report directly to the NDE Operations Manager within the NDE department. The NDE function is organized within focused production area cells alongside the production activities utilizing multiple and varied inspection methods to efficiently provide quality control and protect product reliability.
As the NDE Supervisor at SpaceX you will be required to interface across the business. The job function will require emphasizing a -quality first- culture with the team while, performing hands-on inspection troubleshooting, and managing inspectors during day-to-day NDE activities. The supervisor will interact with technical and operations leaders at the primary manufacturing facility, and test/launch sites as necessary. PORTER - TEMPORARY POSITION
As a Porter at SpaceX, you will be interacting with our guests (employees), fellow staff members, and management staff in our private restaurant in a polite courteous manner. You will also help with restocking supplies and other duties assigned by kitchen management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistently
Help evaluate receiving spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks timely and accurately

Starlink will provide high-speed broadband around the world. SR. MISSION INTEGRATION ENGINEER, HUMAN SPACEFLIGHT
The Human Spaceflight Programs team is looking for exemplary individuals capable of supporting our extensive portfolio of human spaceflight missions for Starship and Dragon. The Starship constituents on our team are leading the programmatic development and execution of the Human Landing System (HLS) as part of NASA's Artemis program to return humans and cargo to lunar orbit and the Moon's surface. Our Dragon team members lead the program for our multiple Crew and Cargo missions per year for both NASA and private astronaut missions to the International Space Station or free-flight in Low Earth Orbit.
Our close-knit team serves as the main interface between SpaceX and our customers to help develop and certify the vehicles, systems, and operations needed to take humans to and from space, all while nurturing robust customer relationships. TURBOMACHINERY ENGINEER, HYDRODYNAMICS
Lead the design, development and qualification of rocket turbopump inducers for multiple applications at SpaceX, taking the designs from initial concept to flight or other operations. Being successful in this role will require a strong technical knowledge of inducers, cavitation dynamics, coupled hydrodynamic and mechanical design and a broader turbomachinery system understanding as well as the ability to work with a wider team of specialists in the various sub systems. Ensuring that inducer solutions are developed with aggressive manufacturing goals, minimum cost/weight and on an aggressive schedule is also key to success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, build and testturbopumps for liquid fueled rocket engines and other rocket or spacecraft systems
Own critical turbomachinery components, as every engineer at SpaceX assumes profound responsibility for their hardware
Perform the hydrodynamic sizing and flowpath design and analysis work for the turbopumps and other turbomachinery for spacecraft systems
Ensure that detailed mechanical analysis is performed on all the turbopump components/systems, reviewed and meets the required standards for life and reliability targets

TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
SpaceX Telecommunication Specialist design layer 1 network infrastructure for supporting critical launch, landing and production facilities. The IT Network Infrastructure team installs and supports the infrastructure used for all types of telecommunications in support of our launch vehicles, spacecraft and production areas, including the layer 1 fiber and copper data network cabling infrastructure, operational voice (both wired and wireless systems), mission video, ground-side vehicle and payload interface RF systems, ground stations, telemetry and optical tracking systems, marine communications, readiness testing, and other systems involved in real-time communications and operations for Falcon, Dragon, Starship and other missions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, design and implement local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols
Conduct fiber optic detailed network design for middle mile and last mile fiber-based networks
Conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons
Assist in job walks and in determining needs for new installations and redesigns
Work in conjunction with professional services and outsourcing functions as needed
Collaborate with all staff members and stakeholders in the development and use of proper procedures in support of all layer 1 infrastructure
