We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer . This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Together with the local QM&GCC (Quality Management and Global Customer Care) manager you drive, plan, and implement required quality gates in the manufacturing and assembly processes
The role will be hybrid, with flexibility to work in-office and from home.
Roles & Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze NCC's (Non-conforming Costs), lead 8D teams to drive root cause analyses and preventive action implementation with the related process owners
You are authorized and obliged to stop processes, projects and products that deviate from EA (Electrification & Automation) quality standards and requirements
Process quality, Delivery Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Cost of Quality, NCR's (Non-conformance reports) as well as aligned BU HQ KPIs
Manage full implementation of all related quality processes to ensure high quality and customer specific products for our customers
Ensure sustainable KPI's and coordinate and lead functional teams to solve customer complaints
Support the local QM heads to ensure the appropriate development, production and shipping release if needed
Perform product, process or systems audit as appropriate to identify and address risks upfront
Lead implementation of ISO Matrix/ Integrated Management Systems (ISO9001, 14001 and 45001)
Support Supplier Quality Management (SQM) to achieve best management methods and processes in alignment with EA Procurement to secure delivered quality and reduce supplier caused NCC's
Support product advisories, RMA (Return material authorization) processes management

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical /electrical engineering or equivalent
5 years of experience in Medium Voltage business and knowledge in manufacturing technologies
Experience in core quality methods like FMEA, 5Why, Ishikawa Diagram and VSM
Certified auditor in ISO Standards (ISO9001, 14001, 45001 etc) / experience in implementation of ISO Standards
Experience in Supplier Quality Management
Experience in SAP ERP tool, Salesforce database
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical knowledge and experience in Switchgear and Motor Control Centers, a huge plus
Experience in Project-and Lean Management is desirable

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.
How does Software Development play into the big picture?
The Software Development Department designs and develops software for onboard safety and signaling equipment. The developed software interacts with discrete I/O signals, speed sensors, communication links, and display devices. Our group works with Systems and Electrical Engineers to design the products that are used to help keep the trains operating in a safe manner, including overspeed protection. Additionally, we interact with the Verification and Validation teams to ensure the safe operation and proper behavior of the equipment the software was designed for.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Investigate and correct defects on various products
Work with senior engineers to gain experience with design and implementation
Documentation of product architecture
Create tests (both unit, component, and sub system level)

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer in the Northeast OH/ Western PA area.
This position requires a qualified, hands-on, service-oriented technician to be involved with automatic transfer switch startups, modifications, warranty and emergency calls.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualified to work independently on ATS preventative maintenance, startup and basic troubleshooting
Fundamental understanding of communications protocols such as modbus, TCPIP and capable verifying communication links to Russelectric equipment
Capable of writing method of procedures (MOPs) documentation related to ATS mods and start-ups to submit to customers in preparation of work
Provide professional and timely field reports to customer, manager and other internal partners
Track time entry and expenses accurately, consistently and timely
Capable of assisting with installation of 480VAC/12.47KVAC, switchgear, ATS, circuit breakers and generator system controls.
Providing technical support for field startups (standard & non-standard systems), warranty efforts, remedial repairs and preventative maintenance contracts
Supervising and ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Builds up mechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies used in Bogies Service Center assemblies light rail vehicles, locomotives, and coaches

Train and develop the inventory team on proper inventory handling and management techniques. Providing ongoing training and coaching will ensure that all team members are knowledgeable about inventory control procedures.
Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. Working closely with the inventory team, you will identify the underlying causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Basic Qualifications:

This person will perform standardized electrical tests as directed per UL, CSA, and other certification bodies under the direction of lab team lead. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer in the Northeast OH/ Western PA area.
This position requires a qualified, hands-on, service-oriented technician to be involved with automatic transfer switch startups, modifications, warranty and emergency calls.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualified to work independently on ATS preventative maintenance, startup and basic troubleshooting
Fundamental understanding of communications protocols such as modbus, TCPIP and capable verifying communication links to Russelectric equipment
Capable of writing method of procedures (MOPs) documentation related to ATS mods and start-ups to submit to customers in preparation of work
Provide professional and timely field reports to customer, manager and other internal partners
Track time entry and expenses accurately, consistently and timely
Capable of assisting with installation of 480VAC/12.47KVAC, switchgear, ATS, circuit breakers and generator system controls.
Providing technical support for field startups (standard & non-standard systems), warranty efforts, remedial repairs and preventative maintenance contracts
Supervising and ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years in Field Service Engineering
Training in electrical theory and technologies. Experience and/or prior military service performing applicable job duties.
Power distribution, AC/DC, Voltage Circuit Theory and practical troubleshooting skills
Diesel Power generation related controls and experience, including paralleled systems.
Strong background in electrical power including low voltage through medium voltage and experience with most types of switchgear testing required.
Reading schematics and blueprints for power control, automation and customer technical support.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the ATS (Automated Transfer Switches) Industry

We are looking for Field Service Engineer. This position will be based out of Kentucky.
Position Summary:

As a Service Specialist, *you will:* **
Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
Work with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel
Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers and successfully completes assigned training as outlined in the training path
Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards, may coordinate with contractors on job sites, maintains tools and test equipment
Support after hours during on-call rotation, responds to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned, performs repairs as directed on all automation system types
Be responsible for completing service ticket documentation per the policy, follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generates reports within Siemens tools
Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assists with training
Identify and reports system discrepancies, suggests system upgrade opportunities, and may assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades to existing agreement and performs system checkout and startup on projects
Work overtime when needed (Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments)
Work rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel
Participate in job site final walk and/or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned jobs performs other duties as assigned

2+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls or similar experience, such as with PLCs (for mid-level) and 5+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls (senior-level)
Must be able to gain access to federal facilities, which could include additional background checks per customer requirements
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions
Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED
Specialized skill training/certification
Experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment; 1+ years
Knowledge of building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations
Engineering and programming (PLC or BMS) background
Knowledge of building system communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP)

The pay range for this position is $66,000 - $113,200 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Commissioning Technicians participate in the estimating, tracking, start-up and commissioning of projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. You will provide expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites. Why is this so important? As a Commissioning Technician, you will:
Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope. Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements
Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs. Coordinate work with subcontractors
Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects. Track resources and project progress
Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems
Organize and maintain job documentation
Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training. Act as technical resource to customers and field employees

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED
3+ year experience in building automation controls such as installation, maintenance, diagnosing, commissioning, programming, etc.
Experience with building automation protocols such as ModBus, BacNet, etc.
Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 poundsunassisted
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in building automation controls such as installation, maintenance, diagnosing, commissioning, programming, etc.
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
Associate or Bachelor's Degree
