Commissioning Technicians participate in the estimating, tracking, start-up and commissioning of projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. You will provide expertise and knowledge throughout the system or service project lifecycle on customer sites. Why is this so important? As a Commissioning Technician, you will:

  • Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope. Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements

  • Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs. Coordinate work with subcontractors

  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects. Track resources and project progress

  • Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems

  • Organize and maintain job documentation

  • Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training. Act as technical resource to customers and field employees

*You will make an impact with these qualifications:*

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

  • 3+ year experience in building automation controls such as installation, maintenance, diagnosing, commissioning, programming, etc.

  • Experience with building automation protocols such as ModBus, BacNet, etc.

  • Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 poundsunassisted

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in building automation controls such as installation, maintenance, diagnosing, commissioning, programming, etc.

  • Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree

Our Service Specialists perform assigned tasks on building automation systems, including service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call (time and material) service. They also respond to emergency service calls as directed during regularly scheduled hours and after hours as needed. Why is this so important? This position can be a mid-level (2-5 years experience) or a senior level (5+ years experience) position.

As a Service Specialist, *you will:* **

  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies

  • Work with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel

  • Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers and successfully completes assigned training as outlined in the training path

  • Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards, may coordinate with contractors on job sites, maintains tools and test equipment

  • Support after hours during on-call rotation, responds to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned, performs repairs as directed on all automation system types

  • Be responsible for completing service ticket documentation per the policy, follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generates reports within Siemens tools

  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assists with training

  • Identify and reports system discrepancies, suggests system upgrade opportunities, and may assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades to existing agreement and performs system checkout and startup on projects

  • Work overtime when needed (Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments)

  • Work rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel

  • Participate in job site final walk and/or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned jobs performs other duties as assigned

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls or similar experience, such as with PLCs (for mid-level) and 5+ years experience installing and/or servicing HVAC/building automation controls (senior-level)

  • Must be able to gain access to federal facilities, which could include additional background checks per customer requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions

  • Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed

  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications:

Security Systems Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. As a Warehouse Supervisor at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, you will oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse activities across multiple branch locations (traveling approximately 20% of the time). This role involves managing a team responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory management while ensuring seamless coordination with branch staff and supporting local operations. Reporting to the Zone Logistics Manager, you will be integral in maintaining high service standards, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring accurate inventory management.

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse coordinators and delivery drivers, including planning resources, training staff, and ensuring consistent service across locations

  • Oversee inbound and outbound processes including receiving deliveries, moving parts and materials into inventory, and picking items for delivery

  • Process transactions and maintain inventory accuracy using SAP and other preferred business enterprise software

  • Create shipping documents and manage goods returns using relevant carrier applications and adhere to standard procedures

  • Support the service van parts replenishment process and facilitate inventory counts as per company policy

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate delivery schedules and meet project/service demands

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED

  • Experience with managing/supervising/team leadership or training courses in leadership

Senior Fire Sprinkler Specialists perform inspections, testing, and minor repairs/maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. As a Senior Fire Sprinkler Specialist, you will:

  • Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards

  • Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations

  • Provide subject matter expertise to peers

  • Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions

  • Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed; generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites

  • Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types

  • Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site

  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents

  • 2+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler Systems

Siemens Mobility is GROWING and seeking to fill a new position of Service Manager - Amtrak. We are seeking an individual with Rail Industry maintenance experience to fill this role. This position will be based in Chicago and will support Siemens SC-44 and ALC-42 fleets

As the Service Manager you will support Technical Support teams to deliver the objectives of high standards in safety, performance, and reliability per the various Technical Support and Spares Agreements (TSSSA). Specific targets are to be aligned with the respective Siemens Project Managers of these TSSSA's. You will also develop strong and successful relationships with aligned customers' key stakeholders. Working with and supporting Siemens Field Service team to align with the objectives of the RAMP organization who have the overall fleet reliability responsibility.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Responsible for supporting the Amtrak Maintenance Manager and the Field Services team.The Sites and the Field Service team help support appropriately to meet the demands placed on them from the TSSSA agreements.

  • Develop relationships within Siemens to ensure there is the needed support from projects, engineering, materials RAMP for the Amtrak Field Service team.

  • Promote positive collaborative relationships across the team, with customer, RAMP, Projects, Materials departments.

  • Adopt continuous improvement mentality in how the Amtrak Field Service can operate more efficiently, effectively and driving increased customer satisfaction for the fleets assigned.

  • Provide feedback to team regarding performance, quality, and productivity issues.

  • Help coordinate performance, training, and career development of field technicians.

  • Promote to ensure best practices are shared between sites and shared with other teams.

  • Providing equipment or tooling for specialized inspections.

  • Tracking & work order generation and support for events required by OEM.

  • Support in analyzing symptoms, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.

  • Support in materials call out & missing part numbers.

  • Assist in documentation of reported problems & remedies ensuring their communication.

  • Using major/complex repairs as opportunities for impromptu demonstrations for Siemens / Amtrak learning opportunities.

  • Provide technical expertise to support investigations, performance monitoring and fleet improvements.

  • Support Version control for FMI's, Material, Software.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Minimum of three years of comparable work experience to include rail industry.

  • Experience working in multi-functional teams in a rail environment.

  • Well-demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prior application of continuous improvement techniques and principles.

  • Detailed technical knowledge, theoretical and practical operation of the system and components of rolling stock vehicles.

  • Solid understanding of maintenance management, familiarity with the locomotive industry, equipment, terminology, and regulatory obligations.

  • Demonstrated leadership, ability, and initiative.

  • Familiar with PM@Siemens, Project Management Professional (PMP)R, or other Project Management methodology and terminology.

  • Familiarity of OSHA Law and Regulations and the Code of Federal Regulations CFR-49.

A little bit about us:

Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail - including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. How does Software Development play into the big picture?

The Software Development Department designs and develops software for onboard safety and signaling equipment. The developed software interacts with discrete I/O signals, speed sensors, communication links, and display devices. Our group works with Systems and Electrical Engineers to design the products that are used to help keep the trains operating in a safe manner, including overspeed protection. Additionally, we interact with the Verification and Validation teams to ensure the safe operation and proper behavior of the equipment the software was designed for.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Learn about our standard processes.

Work with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, System Engineers, Requirements Managers, Software Verification Engineers, System Validation Engineers, and other Software Engineers to learn about the software development process (including documentation, software implementation, and testing efforts) through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.

Interface with different areas of the Onboard Engineering department and learn about how collaboration drives success.

Responsibilities and Duties include:

-Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for health and safety concerns to all levels of employees.

-Promote Zero Harm safety culture by motivating others, modeling the right example, intervening, engaging, challenging, encouraging and enabling others.

-Drive continual improvement through the development of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, standards, training and best practices.

- Evaluate hazards, safety concerns and resource requirements associated with new projects, identifying and reporting exposure and liability issues associated with contractual requirements.

- Assist Project Managers with site-specific Site Visit Accident Prevention Plans (SVAPP), Abbreviated Accident Prevention Plans (AAPPs) / to enable visits to new project sites for observation and measurement.

- Participate in and influence internal steering committees involving new project EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) compliance issues.

- Coordinate with/facilitate monthly EHS-related meetings with sponsoring Siemens divisions on EHS matters.

- Develop site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) / safety & health programs submitted, approved and executed.

-Work to hire Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHO) for major projects as required. Train and supervise SSHOs (those of SGT, Siemens sponsoring divisions, and/or subcontractors).

-Define tasks, specify and select subcontractors for industrial hygiene work, such as monitoring asbestos abatement, hazardous material exposure and respirator use.

-Provide incident management in keeping with company, regulatory and client requirements.

-Assist with/perform root cause analysis of all EHS incidents and facilitate/lead in the development of effective corrective actions.

-Audit, measure, and ensure compliance/effective implementation of the EHS Management System at SGT facilities and project sites and assist in the planning for EHS continual improvement to achieve objectives and targets.

-Recommend and implement control measures to reduce any liability or exposure from non-compliance with various agencies, codes and company procedures regarding general environmental, health and safety standards in the workplace, including ergonomics.

-Develop, deliver, and implement the training and communications necessary to achieve a Zero Harm Culture.

-Manage and report EHS information and statistics in keeping with Company and legislative requirements, including:

- Assisting Business Development and Proposals Deliverables with safety planning, statistics and text.

- Monthly metrics reporting requirements

- Maintaining OSHA 300 Logs and 300A Summaries.

- Reporting Workers Compensation, Defense Base Act, and auto claims to the respective insurance companies, and follow-up with claims adjusters and claimants.

Required Qualifications:

-BS Degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering or equivalent degree. In lieu of degree, have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health & Safety field and certifications/training (Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or other recognized safety certification. - Thorough understanding/working knowledge of:

The Service Senior Sales Executive is committed to supporting our Service Agreements business within our commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service team. Our Sales team supports our Operations team whose focus is to perform fire/life safety service and maintenance in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Our Sales Executives are ambassadors of quality Siemens technology, products and services, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customers will help them optimize and facilitate a safe, emergency-ready workplace.

As a Service Senior Sales Executive, you will:

  • Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.

  • Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities including forecasting expected order intake. Deliver on forecasted results consistently.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals within the region. Keep current on automation, electrical, fire, mechanical, and IoT market business and product trends.

  • Develop a vertical market and account management plan that focuses on strategic growth. Identify new business opportunities to grow in new markets or adjacent segments and develop -go to market- strategies to drive business to the end user customer and the standard construction channel.

  • Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer's organization by understanding their challenges and recommending services to ensure their building systems perform as required to achieve business goals.

  • Attend industry-specific networking events; actively participate in professional organizations such as NFPA, NFSA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, IFMA, SAME, 7x24, etc. to build a network of contacts and to represent Siemens in the market.

  • Consult with the customer and determine budgeting and investment requirements.

  • Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging Siemens world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.

  • Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

  • Work with your internal sales support to enable you to spend more time with your customers.

  • Collaborate with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and customer bid packages.

  • Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.

  • Set pricing based on identified value of the services offered to the customer.

  • Work with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale.

  • Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.

  • Expected to spend minimum 50% of time in customer facing activities, performed in person and on customer site.

  • Work with existing customer base supporting their needs as well as act as a hunter to bring in new customers to the business.

  • Have developed organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Travel overnight ~10% for training and business development as required based on your assigned territory.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED

  • NICET Level I or II Fire Alarm Certification or must complete certification testing within 2 years.

  • 3+ years of experience with sales, account and business development, or consulting within the commercial fire alarm, life safety or similar commercial building/construction industries.

  • On-the-job experience with:

  • Selling service agreements to multiple levels of the customer's organization

  • Common fire and life safety systems and equipment

  • Building safety inspection codes and standards (IFC, IBC, NFBA, CMS, etc).

  • Estimating and selling technical solutions and servicing offerings effectively and independently

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering

  • 5 + Years of Experience in sales, business development, or consulting within the commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, life safety or similar commercial building/construction industries.
