The Account Executive within the Networking and Security Business Unit is responsible for a coordinated sales approach for N&S product offerings: NSX, AVI, and VeloCloud with VMware's internal and external sales teams managing Global Accounts. The mission of this group is to broaden the reach of these accounts in order to ensure the NSX, AVI, and VeloCloud foothold across the assigned account. Our solution set is viewed as a platform within an account and changes the role that IT plays within that account from being considered a cost burden to a strategic deployment.
VMware's Networking and Security Specialist sales team provides top-performing Sales professionals with a once in a lifetime opportunity to change the status quo. This revolutionary technology is the network virtualization platform for the Software-Defined Data Center, by bringing the operational model of a virtual machine into the data center network. Backed by world-class Global Account Teams, Systems Engineering, Professional Service, Partner Channel, and Inside Sales teams, you will bring expertise to the team as we continue the growth of network virtualization. Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling NSX, AVI, and VeloCloud solutions into Global Accounts based in the US
Drive account portfolio sales strategy and focus on top accounts and establish sales cadence with the corporate account team
Adopt account portfolio sales strategy leveraging channel partners
Responsibility to move the transaction through the entire sales cycle
Drive network virtualization adoption and identify new opportunities in the related Enterprise accounts
Solidify existing customer accounts and elevate VMware to a more strategic position
Match the VMware NS solution to the customers business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
Experience Required:
Experience in datacenter software, network route/switch, network management, and/or network security-based solutions
Exposure to selling in an overlay or product sales specialist capacity
Exposure to selling in both a direct and an indirect or channel-driven model
Experience working with a team of professionals in sales campaigns that include sales executives, field SE's, Inside Sales, Field Marketing, Services, etc.
A proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive environment
BA/BS degree or higher, or equivalent job-related experience
Travel focused on the United States

You are experienced with various patterns of data ingestion, processing, and curation. You understand criticality of data quality, security & governance practices and are adept at it. Within the first 30 days, get to know team and develop a high-level understanding of team's technical domain, data platform architecture and responsibilities. Begin operating as a part of data engineering team.
Within the first 90 days, understand the data hub product architecture and build healthy relationships. Work with and across product data hub teams. Perform hands on work using Hive, Spark & Presto for domain driven data hubs.
Within the first 120 days, collaborate with the Product Management and existing data engineering teams to design, develop, and publish data products that create value for business.
Within 180 days and beyond, collaborate with business team across different orgs to understand the bigger picture and implement meaningful data product solutions aligning to CDTO/company priorities that drive VMware's revenue/ARR.

Hands-on development work on all aspects of data analysis, data provisioning, modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
Design, implement and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics
Build solutions in Hadoop - MapReduce, HDFS, Hbase, Hive, Sqoop, Presto, MongoDB, NoSQL, or Cassandra.
Perform data analysis using Python, complex SQLs, and other tools.

The number of customers will vary depending on which tier of service the customer purchases. The Global TAM team services our largest customers and are typically dedicated to a single customer. Performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months:
You will need to orchestrate territory coverage through effective collaboration, leadership, and coaching of internal team/other specialists and external partners on how to identify, position, and close TANZU opportunities. Starting with your very first day, you will deliver your first change with our collaborative and rapid onboarding approach.

Accountable for quarterly bookings target for VMware products including packaged services and education offering
Coordinate appropriate enablement resources to support partner community within the territory
Work closely with multiple Inside Account Executives to maximize VMware bookings in their assigned geography. This will include end-user sales - always with a Partner, 1 to many Partner and Customer events and Partner recruitment/enablement
Orchestrate territory coverage with both internal and external partner teams to achieve high level results
Create and maintain effective partner relationships with partner principles located in assigned territory
