Ambrose Disposal is looking for a safety conscious CDL Driver to join the team at our location in Matthews , VA.

Monday-Friday day shift with occasional Saturdays. Previous waste experience would be a huge plus!

*$3,000 Stay-On Bonus!!!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience preferred , but not required.

• Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.

• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.

• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

• Basic knowledge of truck components in order to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

Waste Connections CDL Drivers operate heavy-duty rear-end load or automated side-load trucks and are responsible for the collection of solid waste or recyclable material in accordance with Waste Connections Policy and Procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws. Due to growth an expansion we are adding a Maintenance Helper to our site in McKinney, TX.

The main duties in the position is basic cleaning and maintenance on our large industrial machine. We are able to train someone that takes pride in their work and has attention to detail. This is a very fast repetitive position working in a loud environment. Even though you are covered this is an open air facility so you will be working in hot conditions in the summer months and cold conditions in the winter months.

You will also assist sorting recyclable materials along with some basic cleaning duties and in the future may be trained to run our equipment and assist the mechanics.

Monday-Friday 3:30 pm to 2:30 am. Because of the OT you will make between $1060 and $1190 per week.

Waste Connections is looking to hire multiple CDL Drivers at our hauling site in Bridge City, LA . In this position you will be operating a Garbage Truck servicing our commercial and/or residential customers. This position is very physical and works outside in all weather conditions.

5:00 am start time working a 45-55 hour work week, 10-12 hour days. A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Saturday, with a 5 day work week.

Starting pay is $17/hr. We offer family benefits, 401k match $1 per $1, vacation and year round over time.

Requirements:

• Class A or B Commercial Drivers License.

• 6+ months of CDL driving experience.

Job Description

We have an immediate position open for a 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment machines at our site in San Antonio, Texas. Individuals with 1+ years experience working on heavy diesel trucks or those that have completed a Diesel Technology program are encouraged to apply.

This position has a 1PM start time, 8-10 hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits and lots of room for growth!

Responsibilities include:

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.

• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

• Performs maintenance related work as required.

• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Preferably 1+ year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of a diesel tech program or good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.
