HII Mission Technologies (HII MT) is seeking talented engineers who are excited to work in a flipped engineering environment. Our team in Roanoke, VA specializes in reverse engineering and microelectronics trust and assurance.
Candidates for this position will lead a team performing reverse engineering tasks on existing products and encoding discoveries directly into our codebase. Additional tasks involve the research, design, and development of innovative algorithms to automate challenging or time-consuming tasks within the reverse engineering domain. Candidates will be exposed to and become proficient with a variety of technologies involving hardware description languages, embedded instruction architectures, high-level software development languages, formal verification tools, and more.
The ideal candidate will have experience with object-oriented design and an understanding of basic logic gates. We are particularly looking for candidates that have experience with FPGA design (Quartus, Vivado, ISE), embedded system design, EDA tools (synthesis, P&R, simulation), and/or microcontrollers. Experience with software reverse engineering is also valued in this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Candidates for this position will be responsible for leading reverse engineering efforts into systems of interest and mentoring junior engineers in the reverse engineering and development processes. Candidates will be expected to communicate clearly and effectively and demonstrate the ability to architect maintainable solutions to complex problems. Effective collaboration with teammates on the development of new ideas and accepting constructive feedback through the code review process is required. Candidates may also be expected to implement algorithms created by hardware engineers or from academic sources with limited documentation. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and be willing and able to obtain a DoD security clearance (if not already cleared).

Mission Technologies, a division of HII is immediately seeking a highly motivated Cloud Software Engineer to join our growing team at our Hanover, MD location to lead the migration of the Minotaur software into a IL5 and IL6 cloud environment.
This position will support a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor. Minotaur ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator's ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors, from both sea and land, that is utilized in all branches of the military. HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide management support, network design oversight, implementation, and integration & test activities related to the Combat Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (CAF DMO) Performance Work Statement (PWS). Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Duties include but are not limited to:
Assists other lead engineers with overseeing and managing the technical aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer 5 to support the Combat Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (CAF DMO) in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will provide technical solutions for CAF DMO standards development, verify interoperability of simulators and equipment on the network, execute CAF events as scheduled and perform integration and test of CAF DMO Aircrew Training Systems (ATS) platforms onto the Distributed Training Center Network (DTCN) per Air Mobility Command (AMC) CAF DMO Flight Plan.

What you will do
Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.

The Role

The Role
This position reviews all required technical documents and coordinates fueling/refueling operations on assigned shift. This position maintains frequent/daily contact with the Ships Engineering Staff, Project Engineering Support Staff, Reactor Plant Contractors Office, Naval Reactors Office, the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Supervisors of Trades, RADCON, QID and Production Departments. An incumbent may perform any or all of the following activities in support of these responsibilities: Fuelings/Refuelings. Responsibilities include initial design, checkout, installation, operation and maintenance of reactor servicing equipment, facilities and support systems; Develops Reactor Servicing procedures and provides technical direction for complex operations being performed either shipboard or in dockside facilities; Exercises on-scene technical control of all types of reactor servicing work. Acts as a consultant to other engineering projects on matters involving Reactor Servicing Operations or Policies. Provides technical assistance to shipyard trades and inspection personnel performing work on reactor servicing equipment and facilities; Conducts on-site review of production work to ensure all contractual, technical and safety requirements are fulfilled; Coordinates all phases of Reactor Servicing Operations, ensuring work meets scheduler constraints and is accomplished in an efficient and safe manner; Evaluates and resolves maintenance problems encountered on fueling/refueling equipment. Reviews equipment, facilities and procedures for technical adequacy and identification of potential; Represents the shipyard interacting with outside representatives and activities. Determines both time and method for halting ongoing work resulting from procedure deficiencies, equipment failures or personnel errors. Responsible for the initiation of immediate corrective actions to deal with abnormal (casualty) situations and developing proposed corrective actions to the CRE/ACRE.
This position is part of the Newport News Shipbuilding Reactor Servicing Operations group, responsible for providing direct engineering oversight to service Navy nuclear reactors. Reactor Servicing offers a challenging, high paced, team environment with opportunity to excel and endless possibilities for professional growth. It is required that candidates for this position hold or be able to qualify as Navy Nuclear Program Shift Refueling Engineer. Candidates for this position must have the willingness to support all shifts with weekend/holiday availability when required.
