Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Network Engineer at our Virginia Beach, VA. location. This role will allow for relocation assistance to be provided to the selected candidate who does not reside within the state. You also must have an active TS/SCI clearance for this role.

The Network Engineer will serve as the lead expert within the organization on network enhancements from both an infrastructure and hardware standpoint. This individual will work closely with the customer to provide experience-based technical expertise and recommendations.

This group helps provide technical expertise in support of 24/7/365 watch-standing duties. Your team members may troubleshoot system outages; correlate with various agencies to maximize circuit readiness and minimize downtime.

What You Will Do

  • Designs and plans network systems.

  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

  • Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Conducts testing of network systems.

  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

What We Are Looking For

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • MECM, STIGs, ACAS, Cybersecurity Engineer, Palo Alto, Virtual Desktops, ACLs, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), OSPF, Network Security, VMWare, Active Directory, Network Infrastructure, Layer 3, VoIP, Linux, Cisco ISE, AAA, IPSec, Radius/TACACS+, TCP/IP, VRRP, CCNA, CCNP, vSAN, Servers, Technical Support, Visio, Disaster Recovery, and VLANs.

  • Must have the following active certifications: Security+ and one of the following: Linux+ CCNA, or VCP - XX.

Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Manager to provide management and oversight of all software configuration control items as related to the Combat Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (CAF DMO) Performance Work Statement (PWS). The selected candidate will serve as the software Point of Contact (POC) to the customer and be responsible for managing and overseeing all software related activities associated with all contractor personnel, subcontractor and teaming partners. The selected candidate will assist the software lead with providing management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership execution of technical matters.

The selected candidate will ensure delivery of all services as required by the task order. Provide management of a geographically separated team of employees and subcontractors to meet Combat Air Force Training requirements.

This role is NOT eligible for remote or hybrid work and is executed on-site.

What you will do

Designs, develops, documents, tests, maintains, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Development of internally created software supporting the CAF DMO as well as employing and extending externally created and managed software supporting CAF DMO

  • Coordinates with external agencies and development activities to understand requirements for development and enhancement of CAF DMO software.

  • Provides status and recommendations to CAF DMO leadership on CAF DMO software development and maintenance related topics and activities.

What you must have

The chosen individual will be responsible for supporting military tactical vehicles and equipment by issuing daily trip tickets, managing vehicle check-ins and check-outs, and conducting routine Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) inspections to assist the Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support team.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others.

  • May provide direction and lead others. May manage one or more multiple jobs.

  • Completes comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools.

  • Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.

  • Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.

  • Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management.

  • May perform quality inspections on finished product. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.

  • Conduct Periodic Maintenance in accordance with standard Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS).

  • Evaluating and recommending corrective actions for equipment that fail or exceed PMS.

  • Daily upkeep of the facility and CESE support equipment.

The Role

Expedites the implementation of productivity and quality improvements in welding operations. Coordinates assigned projects from initiation through implementation, which may require initiation and coordination of equipment purchases/testing/modification, training program development, design changes, etc. Provides technical and hands-on assistance to Trades personnel in the implementation of automatic systems and new materials introductions. The Role

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is offering a $1500.00 sign-on bonus to EXPERIENCED CALIBRATOR new hires, position requires a minimum of three years of experience as a Calibrator. Newport News Shipbuilding offers competitive pay, weekly paychecks, paid time off, paid holidays, medical benefits including an on-site health center, 401K company match, employee discounts, and more. The sign-on bonus is for external new hires. Current Newport News Shipbuilding employees are ineligible for the sign-on bonus.

A Calibrator calibrates mechanical measuring equipment and generates equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains mechanical, optical, and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of equipment such as outside micrometer, veriners, depth micrometer, torque wrenches and indicators and documents calibration data in computer system.

Must Have

The Role

Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.

This position is within the ENG-WR group of E92. This person provides engineering review of Visual Work Instructions (VWIs) and other carrier engineering build authority documents, primarily within the structure discipline. These reviews are performed within a model based manufacturing environment. The selected engineer will also provide guidance and direction to the junior engineering staff. The selected engineer should be knowledgeable on the requirements and application of radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) inspections for weld joints, and MT and sensitivity requirements for specific structural components.

Ensures build authority information provided within the VWI is consistent with the applicable technical authority documents. Reviews engineering change documents for applicability and proper incorporation within the build authority documents. Applies engineering and carrier construction knowledge towards the validation of welds, notes, and dimensions for Ford class carrier construction. Provides training to entry level engineers. Participates in development of processes and procedures. Interacts and collaborates with VWI developers, construction trade representatives, and planning personnel to ensure proper understanding of the work to be performed by and the requirements required of the VWI. Regularly participates in collaboration meetings. Frequently uses collaboration tools such as WebEx and Jabber. Uses TeamCenter, NGP, NX, SAP, and 1Tool daily to complete assigned tasks.

The Role

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

The Role

The SSNX program is seeking an Mechanical Engineer to join the Ao (operational availability) team. This is an opportunity to get involved at the beginning of a new submarine design and have influence over what will become the Navy's premier attack submarine platform. The position will work with multi-discipline teams on incorporation of Ao design principles. They will engage with shipyard, customers and other stakeholders to collect feedback for design incorporation, and challenging design decisions to deviate from standard practice to realize lifecycle cost improvements.

Ao is one of the four tenants of the SSNX program that seeks to ensure the fleet experiences less down time and shorter maintenance availabilities through improved reliability of components, improved maintainability, and improved sustainability. Some of these concepts include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Use of conditions based maintenance plus (CBM+) to predict system and component status to allow timely repairs to maintain systems in a high state of readiness.

  • Advanced manufacturing to improve agility, efficiency, and timeliness of meeting maintenance needs.

  • A design that is simple, modular, compact, and serviceable to support Ship's Force and new construction and depot shipyards.

The Role

The Role

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. The Role

This position supports the Nuclear Propulsion Overhaul Engineering department E81 for Aircraft Carrier and Submarine overhauls. This position develops engineering solutions, written technical direction, and provides waterfront support for the overhaul and upgrade of Reactor Plant mechanical systems.

A successful candidate will possess analytical and problem solving skills to resolve technical issues which arise during nuclear system and component overhaul. The individual shall have the communication and relational skills to interface and discuss technical issues with engineering and non-technical personnel. In addition, the individual will be willing to provide hands-on support on the ship.

We are looking for engaged personnel looking to make a difference and uphold the highest level of technical standards required for work in the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Nuclear Propulsion Overhaul Engineering's role is to:

The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator 5 is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN). The candidate will support the operation and maintenance of multiple networks across different classification levels and ensure continuous network connectivity is maintained to customers and sites. This position will be in the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). The NOSC functions as the helpdesk for network operations support and provides troubleshooting of network connectivity including WAN circuits, equipment failures, router and switch configurations, firewall access control lists, VoIP device registrations and configuration, cryptographic device configurations and keying material. This includes coordination with Navy, DISA, and commercial circuit providers for implementation and troubleshooting; maintaining Information Assurance compliance including IOS upgrades, network device configuration changes, firewall ACL verification and changes; and supporting remote sites in restoring network failures. HII Mission Technologies is seeking a quality military veteran or IC Agency counterpart to join our team supporting customer operations on-site in the Maryland area. This position is for a Lead Military Analyst (Military Operations Analyst 3), directly supporting the customer and functioning as their primary conduit for operational support of Identity Management (IM) physical and virtual activities supporting worldwide missions. The team of analysts assists with enabling technical and tactical operations based on their expert assessments of the operating environment and the adversary in conjunction with the common operational picture. The Lead Military Analyst will enhance joint collaborative planning and assist all echelons to achieve operational dominance.

  • Operational Proficiency: Applies extensive operational background and experience gained from military/civil service and leadership roles, as well as operational proficiency in advanced analytic operational theory and IM principles, during joint and combined operations at tactical, operational, and strategic levels of warfare to solve current and future mission needs or to correct problem areas.

  • Project Development: Initiates and develops operational ideas in specialty areas and develops effective implementation schemes. Plans, develops, and coordinates several small complex projects.

  • Security Compliance: Maintains and complies with security procedures in the performance of duties.

  • Mentorship: Provide direction, training, and assistance to other program staff as an expert in a particular field of study.

  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of intelligence/IM analyst experience.

  • Experience with various techniques applied to IM methodologies.

  • Maintain knowledge of established IM and OPSEC plans.

  • Experience in determining the operational validity of a unit's IM Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

  • Knowledge of various open sources, digital behaviors, and common platforms used in one or more CCMD AORs.

  • Experience within the Intelligence Community, CCMDs (J2X/3X), or Federal Law Enforcement in the specialty areas of CI/HUMINT, Cyber, and SIGINT.

  • Experience in Surveillance Detection Route (SDR) and Counter-surveillance planning.

  • Other: Position may require supporting multiple DoD customers. Must be able to travel to points within the designated area of responsibility on an "as required" basis. Current/active US Passport and medically cleared to deploy.

  • TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly, REQUIRED.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of intelligence/IM analyst experience.

  • Successful completion of the following JCITA courses: Advanced Planners Course; Advanced Technicians Course; Due Diligence Course; or the FOSS course.

  • DoD or military service special agent credentialing course.

  • DoD or military service intelligence analyst producing course.

  • DoD or military service training in SDR/Fieldcraft.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
