The Role
Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. Prepares cost reports and presents findings to management, contract personnel, proposal coordinators, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors.
The ideal candidate should be a proactive, team-oriented, resourceful, independent/critical thinker, solutions-focused, adaptable, and flexible individual that can work with minimal supervision. It is preferred that the candidate have RCOH trade and estimating experience so that they will have familiarity with the RCOH Planning Alpha Acquisition process to be able to estimate and help lead/train others on the team. Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary due to the collaborative nature of this position with the other functional areas of NNS, as well as external customers. Occasional travel is needed in order to support ship-checks onboard nuclear powered aircraft carriers and meetings held outside of the normal office space.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience

The Role
Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge. Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity of employees, and assists in development of training procedures. Breaks broad strategies down to practical action plans and ensures employees are trained to perform these plans. Responsible for complying with all technical aspects of the job including adherence to all drawings, procedures, etc. Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations that have a significant financial impact on the company's performance. The Role
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR including defining the project scope, goals and deliverables that support build strategy and key event schedule. Manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards are met and that work is being performed as scheduled within contract specifications. Identify and expedite the resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower, or other problems that could risk accomplishment of critical path work. Liaise with trades' management to control cost performance within AOR, to include determination of overtime requirements and identification/management of cost drivers. Identify impact and potential risks and devise contingency plans. Perform inspections including, but not limited to, preliminary structural inspections, tank/void inspections, yard final inspections, inspection to support release of concealing materials, compartment and system turnover inspections and test inspections. The Role
Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
This mechanical engineer position acts as a technical member of the Plant Engineering Fire Protection Team, which oversees the execution of fire protection studies, projects, and ongoing maintenance for Buildings, Dry Docks, Piers and other Facilities. The candidate should be familiar with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, the Virginia Construction Code (VCC), Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code (VSFPC), and other related codes and standards. The candidate should have a sound working knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems, fire sprinkler systems, clean agent suppression systems, and related technologies.
This position will lead and coordinate the execution of contracted inspections, routine maintenance, and construction projects related to fire protection systems across the Shipyard. The candidate will provide technical guidance to internal and external customers on fire protection, life safety, and related matters. This position interacts with other project teams where installation of Fire Protection systems is a subset of the project goals to ensure that proper design, installation and commissioning is accomplished. This position will review plans, calculations, and submittals for fire protection systems to ensure compliance with code and contractual requirements. This position leads and coordinates engineering evaluations related to initial installation, replacement, or refurbishment of fire protection systems. The candidate will develop cost estimates and provide input to the Facilities Long Range Strategic Plan for planned and emergent fire protection projects.

The Role
Estimates labor and material costs of manufacturing and engineering based on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. Analyzes specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculates production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data. Collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computes cost estimates of raw materials or subcontracted work and labor. Prepares and maintains historical cost data. Creates cost models for cost estimating elements. The Role

The Role
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR including defining the project scope, goals and deliverables that support build strategy and key event schedule. Manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards are met and that work is being performed as scheduled within contract specifications. Identify and expedite the resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower, or other problems that could risk accomplishment of critical path work. Liaise with trades' management to control cost performance within AOR, to include determination of overtime requirements and identification/management of cost drivers. Assess all growth work and/or contract funded point changes are evaluated to ensure funding is authorized and work is integrated and achievable within schedule. Identify impact and potential risks and devise contingency plans. Perform inspections including, but not limited to, preliminary structural inspections, tank/void inspections, yard final inspections, inspection to support release of concealing materials, compartment and system turnover inspections and test inspections. Document discrepancies and issue to responsible party for corrections. Assess safety risks within AOR and develop mitigations plans as appropriate.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Summary
HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Full Life Cycle Logistician at our Nellis AFB, NV location to support Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Integration. HII - Mission Technologies has over 100 facilities worldwide and provides capabilities to support an all-domain force that includes artificial intelligence and machine learning, autonomous systems, critical nuclear operations, LVC systems, cyberspace strategies, and platform modernization.
What you will do
Work directly with customer or customer representatives, attend meetings, and deploy for special projects.
Manage the input of requirements, purchase requests, and purchase orders.
Coordinate both internally and externally to track project and equipment order status.
Update customer and leadership on the status of orders and track estimated deliver dates
Obtains, screens, reduces, and analyzes complex logistics and technical data and information.
Manage, oversee, schedule, and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs.
Analyze and evaluate products and related performance.
Install, upgrade, and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
Maintain effective customer communications and relations.
May provide onsite training of customer support personnel
What you must have
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
Experience with logistics and/or supply chain management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
Experience reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and Air Force drawings.
Experience in procurement and life cycle management.
Clearance- must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Mission Technologies, a division of HII is immediately seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our growing team at our Hanover, MD location.
This position will support a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor. Minotaur ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator's ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors, from both sea and land, that is utilized in all branches of the military. Responsibilities would include developing prototype solutions to unaddressed, critical military operational shortfalls through research, conceptualization, design, implementation, and evaluation as a member of an established team that has fielded numerous highly regarded capabilities. Subject areas differ widely over time, but current projects focus on improving the exploitation of airborne sensor data through object tracking, multi-sensor correlation, and operational data display.
Possible Duties:
Research and concept development for solutions to unaddressed, critical military operational shortfalls.
System design and software implementation of proof-of-concept prototypes incorporating a variety of engineering disciplines: control theory, software development, signal/video processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence, high performance computing, applied mathematics, network/web services, and visualization.
Support prototype evaluation, experimental operations at military facilities, and transitions of capabilities to government.
Support system integration events on various aircraft during ground and/or flight tests
Develop software interfaces to control and collect data from sensors
Potential to fly on aircraft to support system integration and train operators
Design and implementation of graphical user interfaces to meet customers' demands and needs.
Willing to travel between 10-20 % of the time.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
