Senior Electromagnetic Engineer

KBR Senior Electromagnetic Engineer to support our team at NAS Patuxent River, MD. You will join the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) team working on innovative technologies to maintain air and sea superiority in support of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) programs. You'll support these efforts by performing electromagnetic interference (EMI) / electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) task efforts, which are segments of larger-scale projects/programs .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Study, review, and evaluate new or modified aircraft, complex avionics systems, communications equipment, sub-systems, and components and make assessments regarding the electromagnetic integrity.
Independently determine electromagnetic environmental effects design requirements for new or modified avionics and systems. Assists EMI/EMC ground testing, flight-testing, and test program management.
Review electronic systems' circuit-level, board-level, box-level, and system-level design to ensure E3-related best practices are implemented. Advise avionics engineers on electromagnetic compatibility requirements and design approach. Perform risk analysis of electromagnetic environmental effects test results relative to their operational impact and/or to program goals.
Establish E3 test criteria and review test procedures for proper test application. Oversee E3 box-level, ground, and flight-testing for the program office. Support transition of equipment from developmental status to fleet operational status.
Provides E3 support to assigned PMAs and Class Desks for the entire life cycle of the system. PMA Integrated Product Team meetings, design reviews, test planning meetings and Fleet forums to mitigate programmatic and performance risks relative to electromagnetic environmental effects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Clearance: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline from an accredited US College/Institution.
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in an Electromagnetics Engineering position of which at least 3 years involved avionics systems or avionics integration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience supporting NAS Pax River, Electromagnetic Compatibility Test and Evaluation Branch
Demonstrated experience/understanding of and with electromagnetic interference testing, E3 design, CONOPS, and the capabilities of UAS aircraft.
Experience analyzing electromagnetic interactions with aircraft systems. Experience with the processes and procedures to coordinate and manage the use of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), their avionics, and Ground Control Systems in an operational environment.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Relocation: KBR does offer relocation assistance to qualified candidates
Compensation: $120,000-150,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Job Summary
The Parts Procurement Specialist is a member of a small focused Local Purchase department. The Local Purchase team procures parts based on supply item numbers and national stock numbers found in Technical Manuals, technical descriptions, or samples. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong supply background and can effectively communicate with mechanics and shops whom they support and the vendors they contact.
The Parts Procurement Specialist processes purchase requests in support of the maintenance teams and support personnel on site who need repair parts for equipment and supplies to keep things moving. This position processes significant amounts of paperwork and requires great organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to established procedures. The majority of the Parts Procurement Specialist's time will be spent researching parts online or with vendors on the phone and completing the digital paperwork required for purchase requisitions. The candidate should have good time management and multitasking skills and understand the short timeline required to procure the needed parts and services.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Parts Procurement Specialist will:
Utilize mechanical aptitude and experience to review parts and service requests for accuracy and communicate with shops for additional information as needed. Research parts and services to prepare Requests for Quote.
Organize paperwork as directed; all workstations will be standardized
Update spreadsheet / database / folders with information & statuses daily
Request vendor information by email and over the phone
Obtain required approvals before proceeding with Requests / Orders
Place orders online and by phone, and track order status, and updates as needed
Coordinate with vendor &/or corporate purchasing regarding scheduling or documentation required
Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, and processing returns as required
Complete AESIP requests
Utilize GCSS-Army to cost, MIGO, and Issue items received
Provide timely follow up regarding requisitions and receiving as necessary until order is completed
Reconcile purchasing card statements
Operate forklift, pallet jack, pickup truck, etc. as needed.
Pick up parts off site as needed
Assist in cross-training co-workers as needed / requested by supervisor/lead
Finalize work folders and scan or complete digital folder as required
Perform other duties as assigned, including being loaned out to other departments as needed
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to pass background check to obtain and maintain local base access.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Some additional education preferred but not required.
Must be very detail oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize
Requires at least 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

The SPO OSS is an exempt employee with a direct reporting relationship to the SPO Supply Supervisor in the Operations Department of the APS-3 Program. Employees in this position will be expected to have subject matter expertise in the automated systems provided by the Army to support the APS-3 program, along with expert knowledge of Army, and program policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
