Come join our customer-oriented, frequently fast-paced work environment with opportunities for skills, knowledge, benefit and pay growth!

Consultatively sell batteries, light bulbs and accessory items to retail and commercial customers. Pleasantly engage customers, listen to what they have to say about their batteries/systems and lighting needs, and recommend solutions. Perform battery tests, installations, and battery pack rebuilds. Contribute as a Team Member to the overall success of the store. Associates must be able to lift 50 + pounds, should have a valid driver's license, and must have access to reliable transportation.

Integrity, reliability, helpful/courteous customer orientation, product knowledge, sales skills, and a friendly Team orientation are critical factors in the success of our business and of our associates.

Customer Service / Sales- While working: Live a "Customer First" mentality- Perform Customer Service / Sales duties.- Greet customers promptly, determine needs and answer questions.- Suggest needed sales add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales goals.- Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers.- Operate computer/cash register to initiate and complete sales transactions.- Answer phones, assist callers, and ensure messages are relayed in a timely, accurate manner.- Maintain the facility, inventory, property, and customer service levels to management standards.- Develop and maintain current knowledge of product and service offerings- Adhere to general and specific safety standards- Engage as a "can-do" team member. Proactively follow through on commitments and/or tasks needing to be performed.

Merchandising / Inventory- Rotate and stock inventory; perform inventory counts as required.- Install batteries, perform tests and tech work.- Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of products.- Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance.- Maintain retail shelf label pricing.- Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures.- Prepare store for daily opening and closing.

Qualifications

- H.S. diploma/equivalent and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Prior retail experience preferred but not required.- Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's products, processes, point of sale, and cross reference systems.- Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus.- Must possess and use organizational and analytical problem solving skills.- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks to effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects.- Ability to calculate simple math, percents, ratios and algebraic expressions and read gauges.- Demonstrated technical aptitude and or technical experience desired.- Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred.At Batteries Plus, you are part of a small entrepreneurial team in a growing business. Sales Manager Description :

Batteries Plus Bulbs is looking for a person that is able to repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and other devices as needed. As well as, support the start-up of the device repair function within Batteries+Bulbs.

Device Repair Technician Duties:

  • Repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures and other devices as needed

  • Receive, pack and ship these devices

  • Develop written procedures and technical videos for common device repair activities

  • Maintain proper inventory

  • Participate in formal training of store associates to include tearing down devices, taking photos, assisting with video training production.

  • Provide live camera-based remote support (i.e., Skype) for in-store device repairs

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Device Repair TechnicianQualifications:

  • Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 3-6+ months of previous device repair experience.

  • In lieu of device repair experience, minimum associates degree in electronics, or other technical degree

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written. Strong customer service focus. Ability to inform, teach, and train

  • Working conditions are typical for a warehouse environment, with some tasks (i.e., live store support) being done in a traditional office setting

  • This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment

  • This position requires lifting 10-20# on a regular and frequent basis, 50# on an occasional basis, and more than 50# on an infrequent basis.

Device Repair Technician Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Diagnose, intake, and repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed

  • In-store sales, assisting customers over the phone

  • Off-site battery installations and/or deliveries

  • Battery installation for many different applications

  • Maintain proper inventory

  • Participate in formal training of store associates

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Device Repair TechnicianQualifications:

  • Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 1+years of previous device, automotive, or similar repair experience

  • Must have current DL and clean driving record for off-site installs

  • In lieu of repair experience, minimum associates degree in electronics, or other technical degree

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning & Management

  • Support the balancing of production, distribution and inventory levels with demand to support targets consistent with on-time fulfillment goals. Partner and review data summaries with the Warehouse, Category Management, Sourcing, Planning, Finance and other stakeholders

  • Conduct weekly inventory reviews and reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies with the warehouse inventory team.

  • Create and review inventory reports as needed, give recommendations on improvements.

  • Review and post all inventory transfers and adjustments daily.

  • Communicate potential issues and concerns to management.

    Demand Planning & Transportation

  • Process all over, short and damage claims for inbound shipments.

  • Build shipments from vendor packing lists for the warehouse team to receive products.

  • Provide inbound routing for domestic purchase orders as well as outbound routing on truckload shipments and those with special requirements.

  • Track and report on status of inbound shipments, following up with carriers as needed.

  • Create purchasing reports as needed. Give recommendations on improvements to the Demand Planning Team.

    Metrics

  • Ensure adherence to all security and operational procedures.

  • Measure daily, weekly, monthly production and accuracy metrics; maintain daily reports. Communicate potential issues and concerns to management in a timely manner.

  • Help test process improvements and review with warehouse, order management, IT, and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associate's degree with emphasis in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Bachelor's preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Logistics, Shipping/Receiving, or Distribution Center Operations.

  • Familiarity with a variety of Supply Chain, warehousing, logistics concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, WMS and ERP technology.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork.

  • Ability to work under general supervision, make minor decisions and use some judgment within standardized procedures.

  • Ability to calculate simple math, percentages and ratios.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Description:

  • Assist the manager and store associates to achieve sales objectives and to maintain the facility. Develop general store management and operational skills.

    Duties :Operations Management
