CONSTRUCTION LOAN COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT

Bonaventure Realty Group (Bonaventure) is a real estate private equity company headquartered in Arlington, VA which was founded in 1999. Responsibilities

Preparation of required documentation necessary for compliance with HUD loans

Set up and maintenance of individual construction jobs in MRI

Enter initial budgets and any revisions

Review pay applications and invoices for proper coding and approvals

Enter pay applications and invoices associated with each project

Accurately record funding received

Creation of journal entries as needed

Produce budget vs. actual cost comparison reports monthly

Produce other reports and financial statements as directed

Assist Development team with analysis and monitoring of project budget

Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Minimum 2 years of construction accounting or loan draw experience , desired

Experience with Job Cost system preferred

Proficiency with Word and Excel

Ability to identify and solve problems

Detail oriented.

The ability to work independently without significant, direct supervision and handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed.

We are seeking a Cyber Security Administrator to join our Business Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for monitoring channels through which information flows into and out of Bonaventure's information network. This is an outstanding career opportunity for an Information Systems professional to oversee operations and infrastructure at a growing, entrepreneurial asset management firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an expert on cybersecurity protection, detection, response and recovery

  • Review current security posture to determine proper mitigating controls

  • Develop and monitor internal and external policy compliance as well as oversee alerts and logs to ensure a close eye on the digital footprint

  • Research strategic tools to mitigate Bonaventure's vulnerability operations

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in security and carry out security/risk assessments for the organization

  • Generate and interpret security metrics to demonstrate how Bonaventure manages and deals with security incidents, including investigations and interactions with external stakeholders

  • Partner with IT professionals and the business to assess the potential impact of vulnerabilities

  • Develop relationships and ensure collaboration to aid in the creation of security awareness within Bonaventure

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security or related field required

    5-7 years of IT Security or Information Security experience with a proven ability to engage with Executive Leaders and Stakeholders

    Prior experience overseeing / conducting cyber services including, readiness assessments, attack and penetration studies, incident response, and cybersecurity governance & compliance

    Proficient with technology risk management, cybersecurity governance principles, network & infrastructure best practices

    Willing to pursue relevant professional designations including CISA, CISSP or CEH

The Service Technician is responsible for the overall curb appeal, property maintenance, amenity inspection, budgetary guidelines, and most importantly leading and developing the service team. Accountabilities:

  • Lead and participate in training classes, development plans, online learning, and meetings.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the multi-family industry.

  • HVAC Experience in apartment maintenance including electrical & plumbing diagnostics/repair, and HVAC certification (CFC Universal).

  • Above-average ability to communicate with clients and with co-workers both verbally and in writing.

  • Computer skills and ability to learn specialized software, including Entrata and Nexus.

  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and a rotating on-call schedule.

Accountabilities :

  • Manage all field activities for large multi-family projects; ensures the proper performance of all subcontractors in both quality and timeliness of their work; perform all project start-up and close-out activities.

  • Perform and coordinate all duties in conjunction with the duties of the Project Manager; c Coordinate implementation of the final project budget with the Project Manager.

  • Thoroughly understand, organize, and maintain all project contract documents on a regular basis.

  • Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of the project construction schedule in conjunction with input from the required Subcontractors; manage the schedule to timely and successful completion.

  • Co-conduct a Subcontractor pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager to review all Bonaventure Construction and project-specific requirements; co-conduct regular Subcontractor coordination meetings with the Project Manager.

  • Prepare and distribute all necessary project administrative documents including, but not limited to: daily reports, 3-week look ahead schedule, incident reports, safety inspection reports, material delivery tickets, investigation reports, etc.

  • Identify and resolve all on-site project-specific issues in conjunction with the Project Manager and escalate the necessary issues up to the appropriate person.

  • Implement and enforce all required Bonaventure Construction on-site Quality Control procedures; implement and enforce all required Bonaventure Construction on-site Safety procedures.

    Who You Are:

  • 5-7 years of construction experience, preferably in general contracting

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Two- or four-year degree preferred

  • Working knowledge of construction methods, techniques, specifications, codes, regulations, and laws. OSHA 30 and CPR Certifications.

  • Previous experience leading a job-site team preferred

  • Good oral and written communication skills with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

  • Computer literate with a strong emphasis on reading and understanding Blue Prints and job project specifications.

  • Ability to travel based on project location.

  • Procore Construction Mgmt Software experience preferred

  • Valid Drivers License and able to pass a drug check and a background check

About the Position

Bonaventure is looking for a mid-level Analyst to be based in our Alexandria, VA headquarters. Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, they will work closely with the entire Finance team to assist with the management of all Bonaventure investments.

Responsibilities include:

Review and prepare reporting on financial, operational, and market results for the portfolio vs. budget and historical performance.

Through research, collaboration, and critical thinking, refine the definition of Peak Performance for all assets in the portfolio

Develop and execute asset strategies to manage all assets in the portfolio to Peak Performance through the detailed analysis of property performance, identification of opportunities for improved performance through research and collaboration with others, and monitoring and mitigation of risks.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience in commercial real estate or a financial analysis role. This individual will be passionate about real estate and the opportunity to work in a small team at a fast-paced, growing boutique company. Time management skill set will include the ability to work independently without significant, direct supervision and handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed. A critical thinker, this team member is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with VBA or SQL experience a plus, and able to analyze large quantities of data and summarize relevant information.

Position Summary:
