Description
On this team, you will be one of the founding members of a new engineering team focused on building state-of-the-art creative editing tools. You will take ownership around identifying the technical direction and innovation in key product areas. You will be responsible for identifying our technical investments to power the next-generation tools for creators. This is a highly collaborative role with the opportunity to evolve in many directions.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field with 7+ years of industry experience delivering products using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning technologies and 3+ years of experience in a manager role. Alternatively, a MS degree with a proven track record of comparable industry experience to PhD is acceptable.
Proven experience of strong people management skills in hiring, coaching, and building a high functioning team
Experience delivering products in Computer Vision, multimodal-LLMs/Foundation models, Generative AI, Computational Photography, Machine Learning, or related areas
Willing to take responsibility and ownership of features and the product roadmap

Experience building end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to feature engineering to model training to deploying and scaling the model in production
Experience in training, evaluating, and deploying foundation models (multimodal-LLM, vision language model, diffusion model, etc.)
Experience in model training, model optimization, ML system architecture design, and scalable ML model deployment
Extensive knowledge in practice of state-of-the-art computer vision, machine learning and deep learning techniques
Experience with production machine learning systems and delivering high quality software at scale
Experience with large datasets and distributed pipelines that leverage hardware accelerated compute is a plus
Experience optimizing models and algorithms that run efficiently on resource constrained platforms is a plus

The CNC Subject Matter Expert Engineers are responsible for the development and implementation of crucial CNC processes during our prototype development builds through high volume production.
Description
In this highly visible role, you will have direct frequent communication and collaboration with Apple Industrial Design, Product Design, Manufacturing Design, and worldwide suppliers. You will utilize your manufacturing background in the following areas: Process Development: -Create CNC programs and processes to facilitate new product and industrial design. Make samples for design decisions. -Setup and run CNC validation exercises in our labs to demonstrate process feasibility and capability -lan, propose, and lead experiments to produce analyses used to drive design, development, and supply chain decisions -Own progress of development activities at supplier locations to successfully enable new products New Product Introduction: -Acts as lead engineer to drive CNC process development and capability assessment activities, reviewing part design to ensure alignment with process capability -Assign specific tasks and work with Apple suppliers to support process development and/or data gathering activities. Set clear goals for results and provide timely reviews of performance throughout the program -Establish validation procedures to determine acceptance of processes into development builds as well as mass production Supplier Execution: -Review supplier tool design, process flow, equipment selection, machining parameters DFM, and DOE proposals -Identify shortfalls and corrective actions to ensure design compliance. -Work with vendors engineering teams to map out process development exercises, secure resources, and commit to schedules in line with program goals. -Assess supplier readiness to support build events and production ramp. Identify potential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience supporting new product launches from a manufacturing engineering or product development perspective
Experience with fabricating parts or jigs, fixtures, tooling, injection molding, plastics, ceramics, machine shop (CNC, mills, lathes, drilling, tapping)

Description
You will translate architecture specifications and use case descriptions for new and emerging workloads including Machine Learning (ML) to test scenarios on Silicon. You will gain insights into the cutting-edge SOC IP and chip-level architecture that powers Apple Products (iPhone/iPad/Macs/Watch/TV). Validate the block level and system level performance of various subsystems in the SoC, and the QoS architecture of the SoC. Collect and analyze the hardware performance data to study and validate the impact of various architecture and micro-architectural features on the QoS and block-level and system-level Performance of the SoC. You will collaborate with cross-function teams including architecture, hardware design, and software teams to develop testplans, debug, and correlate silicon data. You will write low-level driver code in a RTOS to configure and run various sub-systems (e.g. display, cameras, video encoders/decoders). Develop and maintain latency critical software to identify and root-cause complex performance/QoS issues. You will help bringup prototypes and explore power and performance of bare metal workloads. You will acquire valuable software skills in modeling real customer use cases, and developing and debugging Device Drivers and RTOS using lldb/Xcode!

Description
We are responsible for designing and delivering high quality electrical health sensing features for Apple's product. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of teams across Apple. You will mainly work on develop sensing hardware and responsible for following: Conduct architecture design, simulation, modeling, board level circuit and system design for health sensing products in the entire lifecycle of a new product, from initial design and functional specification of new hardware features and overall architecture design all the way to support and validation of these features. Review schematics, layout and other design collateral for fabrication. Develop analysis and modeling tools for hardware performance, perform complex system level tests, enhance and resolve issues in existing products, and perform unit testing and end-to-end testing. Collect and process environmental and physiological data from users to draw conclusions, predict performance of new designs and components based on simulation and modeling tools. Translate feature requirements into electrical hardware specifications and validate performance against specifications.
