  • Lead exercise sessions and coordinate with professional instructors to teach fitness classes (i.e., Tai Chi or Yoga) - based on budget and/or resident interest.

  • Recruit and coordinate resident and public volunteers to successfully enhance daily activities and events - focusing on volunteers' interests and passions.

  • Participate in regional conference calls and companywide trainings.

  • Build relationships and market program successes on a weekly basis with local community contacts. Network to establish opportunities for residents to volunteer and give back to the local community.

  • Promote activities, events, and community within the media by working with Support Center Communications and Resident Experience (PR opportunities, Facebook, Yammer, etc.).

Responsible for providing guidance and support to employees and managers regarding human resources administration practices as well as the day to day activities of our employee Health and Welfare Programs and Retirement Plans company-wide. This position acts as a liaison, providing support to all employees while resolving benefits and data issues through our field Human Resources team, third party administrators, and third party vendors. Each Specialist is also responsible for specific day-to-day duties.

  • Administer assigned benefit programs including the day to day activities, audits, testing, and coordinating the interaction between third party administrator, employee(s), and payroll.

  • Compile and maintain supporting documentation related to job functions via paper or electronically as outlined in procedure documentation.

  • Administer PTO donation, PTO payout due to terminations, and PTO adjustments. Assist payroll with the administration of the PTO/EIB adjustment and rollover program.

  • Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially for new Support Center, regional and divisional employees.

  • Coordinate the collection and review of documentation needed to support the Company's position at all unemployment hearings. Prepare quarterly unemployment benefit reporting for management.

  • Research and resolve complex requests from employees and managers regarding benefits and retirement plans, HR data, and employee relation issues. Ensure responses are in compliance with applicable government regulations.

  • Document and track employee inquiries via the department ticket system database. Comply with department performance standards regarding level of customer service. Prepare management reporting.

  • Maintain a -specialist- level understanding of Atria's benefit plans, trends, program offerings, and regulatory benefit requirements.

  • Assist in the new hire and Community Business Director orientation training as well as other Benefit/HRIS training required.

  • Serve as the key contact for all new hire activities including those relating to new acquisitions.

  • Administer the 1-9 and eVerify processes for the Company, including resolution of non-confirms.

  • Maintain assigned databases and benefit records. Prepare regular benefit reports extracting data from the database. Provide technical support, test system functionality, and work with end users to provide system support and troubleshoot system problems.

  • Research and resolve issues encountered within the Manager Self Service System.

  • Audit the accuracy and integrity of the importing and exporting of data information to and from third party administrators.

  • Assist with management and performance review of vendor accountabilities.

  • Serve as back up to other HR Specialists in his or her absence.

  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Two (2) or more years of general Benefits or Human Resources experience required.

  • Intermediate proficiency/advanced skills in utilizing MS Office applications, in particular Excel.

  • PeopleSoft HCM experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Mathematical aptitude.

  • Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical equipment in the community, including but limited to: water heaters, HVAC units, kitchen equipment, etc.

  • Organize maintenance storage and mechanical rooms. Ensure proper use and care of all tools, equipment, and vehicles.

  • Meet Holiday U Maintenance education and/or training requirements.

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years' hands-on maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc is required.

  • Ability to perform and/or coordinate emergency building repairs at Holiday-managed communities; includes contacting and contracting subcontractors to complete repairs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated experience in the safe handling and use of tools normally used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping.   • Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed. Pay special attention to the main entry area, with focus on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.

  • Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided.

  • Follow Holiday's sanitation and safety procedures. Details regarding the housekeeper's cleaning responsibilities can be found in the Holiday Retirement Community Care Guidelines.

  • Complete weekly and monthly inventories of cleaning supplies, chemicals, toilet paper, linen and other items.

  • When needed spot check rooms using the housekeeping evaluation checklist with assistance of the general manager.
