Audacy Dallas (News Radio 1080 KRLD-AM) is looking for an exceptional News Anchor for weekend and fill-in shifts. If you understand that compelling writing, great storytelling, and creative use of sound make for a great news product on-air and in the digital space, then we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Anchoring multi-hour news shifts on all news stations.
Producing and recording news segments.
Gathering, writing, recording, editing and delivering news/traffic & weather content including live coverage from the field as well as the studio.
Interviewing newsmakers.
Writing scripts and ad-libbing material for stories.
Development and research of potential news stories.
Protecting the station's FCC license.
Other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
Preferred 1+ years anchoring or reporting news for broadcast media.
Must be computer proficient with Microsoft Outlook & Word, Burli experience is preferred and have the ability to fully utilize all the tools of broadcast and social media in the field (Twitter, Facebook, live and recorded video and audio equipment, etc.) and excellent writing skills.
Position requires proficiency in editing and packaging news sound and interviews.
Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery.
Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential.
4 year degree in journalism preferred.
A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Responsible for the total supervision, direction, and overall performance level of all station news personnel functions, with specific emphasis on program coordination, mix, content, scheduling, budgeting and play-by-play broadcasts

Establishes and communicates programming and content goals and vision, and then clearly measures their results.

Minimum of5 years in radio sports programming leadership or Sports content development a must.
Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographics and familiarity with broadcast area required.
Experience with Professional and Collegiate Sports teams and with great knowledge of Atlanta and Georgia teams preferred.
Experience recruiting and coaching on-air and support talent a must.

Work with the traffic department handling matters concerning copy, coop facilitation and continuity.

A knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations.
The candidate must have strong verbal and writing communications skills, as well as strong proven time management skills including ability to multi-task in a multiple project environment. Experience in project planning, management and execution. IT & Network knowledge and experience required as well as experience with digital audio and audio streaming.

Must have at least four years of college or technical school and/or training; or equivalent work experience.

Ability to provide on-call status 24/7 in case of equipment failure.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40lbs.
SBE Certifications is a plus.

Drive team to provide resolution support and ensures prompt, accurate and consistent handling of inquiries via telephone, email, and employee face-to-face engagement of in-bound inquiries from internal employees on payroll, benefits, HR policies, payroll adjustments, unemployment support, garnishment/child support orders, and HR transactions.
Manage collective bargaining agreement payroll-related caveats.
Analyze, design, and build new custom reports and dashboards relating to multiple objects and data transformations with HRIS reporting functionality
