Overview
Responsible for the management of the assigned principals' business (division and/or geographic), within designated "customer accounts". Primary responsibility includes increasing sales and market share of the brands represented, while earning a profit for our manufacturers and Acosta.
Responsibilities
Deliver principals' objectives to include volume and sales fundamentals (merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving) goals at the assigned customers at the lowest cost.
Develop a Customer Business Plan that will deliver the principals' business priorities.
Personally call on all decision-makers at the customer to sell business plans, programs and concepts that improve long-term business results.

Pro-actively communicate with key principals.
Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers on all major retail initiatives (new product introductions, selling drives, contests, etc.).
Effectively use knowledge of customer, market and principal-involve marketing, technology and administrative resources to accomplish objectives.
Provide timely information of selling priorities to Retail Sales Managers, supervisor and shared resources (marketing, technology and administration).
Pro-actively share information and customer/principal information with other team members to build organization capacity.
Utilize computer systems and technology to achieve the objectives of the Customer Business Plan. Develop and maintain skill levels to support the use of Acosta communication systems.
Provide feedback to the Team Leader and/or General Manager on how to build organizational capacity and improve our business.
Complete special projects as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts Degree or equivalent work experience
A minimum of six months of relevant experience in retail (CPG industry), marketing, space management and/or resets. Sales administration or finance experience preferred.
Expertise in Microsoft software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook and thorough knowledge of web based applications. Must have excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have a valid driver's license

Read and follow a plan-o-gram to effectively complete reset and remodel work. Have a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology.
Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, installing new racks and shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips and attaching tags properly, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing pack-outs, restocks and reorders as necessary.

Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Be proactive in alerting management to any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries.

Perform duties such as moving and cleaning shelves, displaying merchandise properly, placing shelf strips and attaching tags properly, checking date codes and plan-o-gram integrity, and processing packouts, restocks and reorders as necessary.
Partner with store personnel and co-workers to achieve and maintain merchandising excellence, discuss changes, and build an effective working relationship.
Report and discuss observations and issues with immediate Supervisor.
Effectively and accurately work with web based applications to indicate work availability, check schedule for work assignments, accept work assignments, receive work documentation and information, record work start and completion times, record work mileage, record work expenses, record work time and attendance, and complete training activities.
Effectively and accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation related to assigned reset.
Perform job safely by demonstrating full awareness of his/her surroundings. Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment use when necessary. Be proactive in alerting management to any unsafe act or condition to prevent injuries.
Understand and follow all Acosta policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications
At least 2 years of Customer Service experience preferred. Prior sales agent, retail and reset responsibility experience preferred.
Strong demonstration of the following core competencies:
Must be comfortable utilizing Technology (i.e. smartphones and handheld devices)
Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
Must be willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores) for limited periods of time.
Must be able to operate or learn how to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and copier. Must be able to stand on a step stool.
Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, decision making and leadership skills. Must be able to read and communicate effectively with others.
