As a Marketing Manager , you'll wield your expertise to craft and execute dynamic marketing and communications strategies, propelling our organization's products and services to new heights in the market. With a blend of specialized knowledge and eagerness to learn, you'll tackle diverse projects across multiple disciplines, gaining invaluable experience along the way. Responsibilities
Research, write and design targeted pitch decks and marketing communications materials that highlight the organization's products/brands/services to an array of audiences
Work with internal partners to build and implement strategic marketing and communications strategies and deliverables that enhance the organization's relations with sponsors, the public, government and regulatory authorities, stakeholders, volunteers, donors, and employees
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support revenue goals by creating appropriate materials and presentations
Coordinate and disseminate communications to reach defined audiences and meet specific program objectives
Monitor trends to keep informed of developments in relevant fields. Use this information to help internal clients creatively achieve their goals
Lead multiple projects by managing time effectively, prioritizing work assignments, being flexible to changing requests, and ensuring deadlines are being met
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, or public relations
Solid understanding of strategic communication planning and implementation, pitch deck development, email and digital campaign creation
Proven experience developing value proposition and B2B messaging and presentations
Experience with AP Style writing and editing for a variety of audiences/platforms
Excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft 365
Possession of creative flair, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present to executives and volunteers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, while demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel 15% or less when needed to attend events and conferences
Compensation & Benefits
The expected pay range will be $65,000 to $85,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or

HeartCorps is an initiative with Public Health AmeriCorps and the American Heart Association created todrive health equity in rural communities. This service position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable professional public health experience while advancing more equitable health outcomes for your community.
We are seeking a full-time service member to serve up to 11 months startingSeptember 23, 2024,to serve at the Housing Partnership, Inc - BRIDGES at Pahokee in Pahokee, FL.
Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.

Responsibilities
Tasks could include things like the following:
Reporting to the National Senior Policy Analyst for access to health care and our National Associate Policy Analyst for Research and Operations on the Policy Research team, our intern will support the Policy Research team in translating science into evidence-based policy on a wide variety of topics including access to care, quality health care, systems of care, nutrition, maternal health and more.
The intern will complete research tasks as assigned, such as conducting literature reviews and compiling background research on our areas of interest.
The intern will support the development of content for resources such as policy briefs, fact sheets, regulatory comments, and other materials that supports, positions, and provides foundational information for the American Heart Association's advocacy efforts.
The intern will participate in meetings, workshops, and webinars with external partners, government agencies, coalitions and working groups related to the American Heart Association's advocacy efforts.
Qualifications
College seniors, and graduate students pursuing a degree in public policy, public health, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Experience in public policy and/or an interest in advocacy and healthcare is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications and comfort working with professionals, academics, and learners across diverse disciplines and geographies.

Under the direction of the State Government Relations Director, the Intern will support the Western Region advocacy team in advocating for the Association's state and local priorities by completing the following tasks:

Assisting in the creation of collateral materials.
Facilitating internal communications by assisting in the drafting of newsletters and updates.

Responsibilities
This individual will manage marketing execution, and communications for this grant-funded initiative. They will have experience in the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans focused on B2B engagement, account-based marketing, and healthcare.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Act as primary liaison, project manager, and methodology expert for assigned American Heart Association /ASA stroke guideline and/or performance measures writing group(s) including planning, scheduling, and facilitating committee agendas and meetings.
Identify and develop relationships with expert volunteers for writing group members leading to real-time draft development, face to face meetings and consensus conferences.
Oversee writing group literature review and preparation of evidentiary tables or graphics.
Develop and maintain expertise in American Heart Association /ASA guideline methodologies, styles, and procedures.
Work with online content management systems at various stages in guideline development.
Facilitate content concordance and prevent issues including but not limited to conflicting recommendations across guidelines.
Integrate written materials drafted by multiple authors into a single template and format and facilitate American Heart Association /ASA and partnering organization approval of the guideline.
Assist guideline writing group members with creation of visual displays of data.
Prepare and manage schedules and track progress of guideline writing committees to ensure that the project is running on schedule.
Review board-approved manuscripts for accuracy, format, and style; and prepare files for delivery to journal publishers.
Participate in professional meetings such as the International Stroke Conference (February) and Scientific Sessions Association (November) annual meetings and guideline writing group meetings throughout the year, as needed.

Responsibilities
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches to the campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.

Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
Qualifications
3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
Ability to travel locally approximately 90%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office

HeartCorps is an initiative with Public Health AmeriCorps and the American Heart Association created todrive health equity in rural communities. This service position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable professional public health experience while advancing more equitable health outcomes for your community.
We are seeking a full-time service member starting September 23, 2024 to serve at the Moab Free Health Clinic in Moab, UT.
Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.

We are currently hiring a Development Director in Northwest Indiana. The Director will generate revenue for our Heart Challenge fundraising campaign. This campaign includes our signature Heart Walk event.
We have a fast-paced sales type of environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities
Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations. Achieve revenue goals by building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that matches to the campaign goals and the Association's mission.
Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
Recruit and be responsible for executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day-of-the-event volunteers.
Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate team members to fundraise.
Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society, in partnership with other appropriate fundraising staff. Includes planning and implementing regular engagement events for members.
Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.
Qualifications
3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience
Ability to do daily local travel up to 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill/proficiency with Microsoft Office
Here are some of the preferred experience skills we are seeking:
University/College degree or equivalent experience, preferred
Experience managing and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-Suite level
Knowledge of corporate and community networks

Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.

Responsibilities
As the Marketing Communications Director you will make an outstanding impact by working with development and health strategies colleagues to craft and deliver critical communications and marketing plans.
Responsibilities involve working with the Executive Director, Development Directors and Community Impact Directors to build and implement strategic marketing campaigns and deliverables to support major fundraising events; to develop communications and marketing relationships and strategies to deepen engagement with existing sponsors and high-level volunteers for major events.
Work closely with the development team to support local revenue goals and fundraising events by producing and securing appropriate materials and presentations.
Plan and implement campaigns for event promotion, including brainstorming out-of-the-box ideas and activities, then driving them efficiently.
Work with the regional communications team to plan and implement sponsored campaigns through paid social, online, and traditional media.
Work with local team on script development for events, meetings, and media events.
Supervise progress and submit performance return on investment reports on marketing and development activities.
Control budgets and prioritize resources amongst projects.
Work with local staff to ensure that branding guidelines are followed.
Monitor trends to keep informed of developments in the fields of event fundraising, sponsorships, marketing, communications, and not-for-profit management. Use this information to help the markets creatively achieve their goals.
Work with Vice President Marketing Communications and local staff to handle crises or sensitive issues.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, or public relations.
Solid understanding of strategic public relations, marketing planning and implementation, including email and digital campaigns.
Skill in writing and editing for a variety of audiences via numerous marketing platforms, including writing for the web and mobile.
Ability to build sponsor return on investment materials.
Print and video design capabilities, including script writing, shooting video, and editing and/or directing external agencies on such projects.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in engaging communities via social media with metrics to support strategies (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) as well as developing content (especially video) to help drive engagement.

We are hiring a Community Impact Director in the greater Chattanooga territory within the Southeast region! In this role, you will make an extraordinary impact by working with staff to advance strategic region priorities for the Southeast Region. This is a full time, benefits eligible, grant funded opportunity. Current funding will expire on 6/30/2027, with opportunity for renewal.
The Director will drive the execution of health impact goals within the area by focusing on the areas of hypertension, nutrition security, and health equity.
This is a hybrid position based within the Chattanooga market, reporting to our Chattanooga office. The ideal candidate must reside within the comfortable market limits of the position to navigate the market and territory.

Responsibilities
Drive market health assessments, coordinate and/or lead community collaborations, build and implement plans for policy, system, and environmental change driving toward opportunities for health impact in both the clinical and community setting.
Build and implement a cross-functional strategy to advance health equity for all by producing measurable outcomes for improvement of the Association priorities: improving hypertension, diabetes and chronic disease management, increasing nutrition security, ending vaping and tobacco use and increasing community readiness.
Work with healthcare organizations to ensure best practices for treatment of patients through education and quality improvement initiatives and programs including but not limited to: Target: BPTM, Target: Type 2 Diabetes and Check. Change. Control. CholesterolTM. Consult with clinical staff for data entry, data reporting, compliance issues, and strategies for improved patient outcomes.
Work with internal staff partners to ensure population health strategies are integrated into development, communications and marketing, advocacy, and healthcare quality improvement activities.
Collaborate with development team and volunteers to identify, champion, and secure program funding, including sponsorship (cash and in-kind) for relevant programs, campaigns, and population health impact opportunities.
Recruit, train and lead volunteers and strategic community alliances to achieve priority community, clinical and collective impact goals.
Identify and assist in recruiting diverse volunteers to serve in leadership roles on market board of directors and event executive leadership teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of project management experience in similar capacity.
Ability to analyze data, recognize trends and recommend initiatives to improve outcomes.
Knowledge of the social determinants of health as it relates to behavior modification through self-care activities and policy/system-wide changes is preferred.
General knowledge of fundraising practices and/or corporate social impact sponsorship development is preferred.
Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to travel occasionally within the region approximately 10% of the time.
