A. FUNCTION OF POSITION
Responsible for managing project of large size and complexity, or multiple smaller projects. Assist more senior managers in marketing and managing large and complex projects or group of projects.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Serves as a point of contact for development and discussion of new business opportunities and, subsequently, project objectives, scope, and budgets within the company and between the company and the client.
Operates typically with broad latitude in a complex environment, leads multidisciplinary project team to achieve milestones and objectives.
Leads a team in the accomplishment of work on projects of large size and in the development of all required documentation/deliverables within budget and schedule constraints.
Controls project work accomplishment vs. scope of services contracted, assesses progress vs. schedule and budget; resolves conflicts or elevates conflicts to management level necessary for resolution.
Assists more senior project managers in the development and management of large and complex projects; may lead a portion of the project.
Evaluates performance of project team members.

D. SUPERVISORY GUIDANCE
General supervision is provided throughout a project. Assignments are specified in terms of objectives only.
Is recognized as a specialist within the company and requires in-depth and/or breath of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
BS degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience with at least five (5) years in project management, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of nine (9) years of engineering experience with at least five (5) years in project management experience or a PHD degree from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience with at least five (5) years in project management experience. Demonstrated performance on project management assignments of increasing responsibility including leading moderate size and complexity projects.
Background in Controls, Instrumentation, Software, and proven record for delivering control and data acquisition systems preferred. Desired experience to include control of test systems including air speed and temperature conditioning systems, and complex, unique machine system controls. Experience with custom high speed data acquisition and real-time systems also desired.
Demonstrated competence in project management and technical competence is discipline field(s) and knowledge of company policies and practices.
Demonstrated leadership ability and good communication skills are required.US citizenship is preferred; experience working in a US Government Classified environment is beneficial.
Leads technically challenging engineering and construction projects, potentially up fifteen million dollars ($15,000,000) in design build cost or 30,000 hours of professional services. Leads a team in the accomplishment of work on projects of moderate size and in the development of all required documentation/deliverables within budget and schedule constraints. Controls project work accomplishment versus scope of services contracted, assesses progress versus schedule. Resolves conflicts or elevates conflicts to management level necessary for resolution.
Most projects fall in the automotive, aerospace, or scientific market spaces, particularly in terms of advanced testing facilities. Example facilities include wind tunnels, engine test facilities, rocket test stands, climatic simulation facilities, etc. Engineering/design work typically performed in offices in Tullahoma, TN or Bingham Farms, MI while construction and commissioning work is most often at a client's site in the continental US with some work in international locations such as the UK, Germany, Japan, etc. Nearly every design is for a unique, one-of-a-kind engineered solution.

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the ( ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The A/V and Tech Support Specialist supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
Perform ITW/AA Organizational-Level computer hardware maintenance/preventative maintenance inspections (install/replace/integrate) on system equipment (hard-drives, printers, clients, etc.).
Install, configure, verify, and operate the VDS, surveillance, and all associated equipment (routers, switches, etc.), Cheyenne Mountain Cable TV System consisting of several channels and broadcasts throughout the complex (including several buildings outside the complex).
Install, configure, verify, (routers, switches, etc.) and operate the Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/surveillance cameras external/internal to the facility, Vindicator Systems, and the Mobile VTCs, along with reporting circuit outages.
Work under immediate supervision and achieve technical guidance, as required, from the Project Manager.
Perform installation, removal, configuration, and operation of voice and/or non-voice communications systems including intercom and public address systems, alarm systems, teletype equipment, and terminal and communications equipment, including line drivers.
Run cables, key cables, or house wire to all video/alarm equipment, terminal connectors, lugs, pins, or screws, associated with video/alarm equipment and/or terminating equipment for non-voice circuits.
Route calls, transfer information, and handle administrative duties.
Complete various tasks such as typing, checking, and recording information.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrated experience interfacing with high-level Customers and multiple DoD Agencies.
Experience prioritizing and managing workloads.
Work independently using various communication methods.
*Shift work could be required to support 247 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on-site for extended periods during emergencies and drills.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Eight (8) years progressively responsible network systems engineering experience is required. Certification required, at a minimum, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Familiarity with packet capture and network analysis tools is required. Knowledge of monitoring solutions required. VMWare, VSphere, and VCenter experience is strongly desired. Four (4) years of experience can be substituted for a degree for total of twelve (12) years of experience.

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

In this role you will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the allocated resources of a group of process mechanical engineers and designer/drafters located between the Tullahoma, TN and Bingham Farms, MI team. Most of your designs will be unique, and you will usually be working on several projects at one time in a dynamic, challenging, and even fun environment. This position will provide you with an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the drawing packages of process mechanical projects as part of a multi-discipline team of professionals.
We are looking for a draftsman who will work to ensure client satisfaction and help deliver key process projects within scope, budget, and schedule. You should be a self-motivated professional with at least 10+ years of progressive process mechanical designer experience including pipe/duct layout and routing and equipment layout.
In this role, the Senior CAD Draftsman will work closely under the direction of the Lead Process Engineer. This role is responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings for pipe/duct layouts and mechanical equipment, engineering calculations, sketches, detailed drawings, and design information according to project standards and procedures.
This position requires direct communication and coordination with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, structural and project team members to ensure a complete and timely production of drawing packages, spreadsheets, and databases to document information related to design. The designer will become familiar with work processes for the office and the department.

Brief Outline of Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides drafting team leadership on major projects of considerable scope and complexity.
Provides layout and assembly of complete drawing packages for large projects.
Provides oversight on assignments to a team of designers and drafters. May check the work of other designers and drafters.
Reviews work in progress and coordinates work with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
Performs creative design from general concepts and field measurements.
Operates CAD equipment and may train other employees on the use of CAD equipment.
Performs complex drafting assignments with general instructions and working from furnished or self-generated computations and sketches.
Perform other related duties as required.
Due to federal requirements for portions of the assigned work US Citizenship is required.
Requires certification of two (2) years training from a vocational school or two (2) years college with courses relevant to drafting or engineering principles plus a minimum of ten (10) years of experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for a portion of the progressive experience. Must have working knowledge of CAE/CAD systems.
Must have demonstrated good leadership, organization, planning, communication, and problem- solving capability.
Requires working knowledge in the use of drafting equipment and in the application of drafting principles (descriptive geometry, lettering, dimensioning, layout, detail, etc.) and requires a general working knowledge piping/ducting and component layout commonly associated with process mechanical design.
Requires working knowledge of understanding and producing process mechanical design and layouts drawings for construction (i.e. piping, ducting, P&ID's, PFD's, mechanical components, and supporting details.)
Requires working knowledge of AutoCad. Working knowledge of 3D modeling and producing 2D construction drawings from the model is required (using software such as SmartPlant, Plant 3D, Revit, Inventor, Creo or other related software packages).
Able to produce a set of design and/or shop drawings that adequately depicts the design, is clear, concise, as free from errors as possible, and meets the job standards and specifications.

Office and computer-based work for 80 - 90% of time. Occasional site visits requiring general access around construction and project sites, involving ability to access upper and lower levels - 10 - 20% of time.
Special clothing/equipment and other PPE may be required during site visits (15%)
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Office environment for 80 - 90% of time
Field work may be required including outside work (10 - 20%).
Travel to perform field work at project sites or to attend customer meetings (10 - 20%)

Must take and pass a pre-employment drug and background test.
