CACI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and management support to the C5ISR Center at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Initiates, leads, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex Research and Development (R&D) programs that involve Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Signals Intelligence, and Electronic Warfare and Cyber (EW&C).

  • Assist in engineering discipline activities for conducting electronic system, subsystem and component level characterization, reverse engineering, and replication.

  • Provide hands-on physical, operational, and signals characterization of custom, commercial off the shelf (COTS), and hybrid custom/COTS circuits.

  • Provide hands-on technical forensic exploitation (TFE) support for technical intelligence (TECHINT), media exploitation (MEDEX), cell phone exploitation (CELLEX), electronic exploitation (ELEX), and other unique exploitation missions.

  • Prepare technical reports, briefs, operational diagrams, and schematics based on device characterization and analysis requirements.

  • Identify trends and evolutions in commercial based technology (CBT) equipment and utilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

  • MA/MS and 10yrs experience or BA/BS in Electrical Engineering and 18 years of experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability in related engineering discipline activities for conducting system, subsystem and component level characterization, exploitation and analysis of electronic systems.

  • Experience leading efforts that provide engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, testing and implementation for complex systems down to the circuit board die and binary data transfer level.

  • Experience in electronic schematic generation and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.

  • Solid background in practical electronics and/or RF theory.

  • Basic understanding of RF communications, with emphasis on characterization of electronic circuits.

  • Experience conducting time and frequency domain measurements using benchtop equipment, to include signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analysis tools, and other equipment.

  • Experience performing standard RF measurements (e.g.,operating frequency, occupied bandwidth, average power, pulse width, etc.) using the previouslylisted test equipment.

  • Experience with soldering and re-working electronic circuit boards and components (e.g. through-hole, surface mount, cable assemblies, wire harnesses).

Desired Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in reverse engineering electronic circuit boards and components.

  • Basic MATLAB (and other basic programming / scripting) skills. Should be able to apply digital processing techniques to communication signals. Techniques may include digital filtering, sample rate conversion, frequency/phase estimation, modulation, demodulation, carrier recovery, timing recovery, channel equalization, pulse shaping, and forward error correction.

  • Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems such as Arduino and writing custom programs to configure and control COTS devices such as transceiver system on chip (SoC) and other programmable devices.

- Experience with either IDA Pro or Ghidra, a significant understanding of reverse engineering tasks (static/dynamic analysis, machine code emulation, and firmware review)

  • Provides support to operational tests, training product support using the Training Development Capability (TDC) database, and daily operational IT support.

  • Provides training that includes GPS 101 and NAVWAR 101 to internal and external customers
