As Risk & Compliance Senior Associate with Caterpillar Building Construction Products, you will independently perform functions which require preparation, analysis, and communication of issues of normal to high complexity. This role is a great opportunity to gain experience supporting operational teams at multiple US facilities. This role will ensure compliance with the enterprise and business division's ethical standards and examine any non-compliance issues.

What You Will Do:

  • Support external auditors and process owners to complete SOX testing

  • Conduct all non-SOX control testing and SOX Segregation of Duties review

  • Coordinate annual sox control reviews with Business Resources Team

  • Support Facility Inventory Checklist and other checklists as needed

  • Coordinate with process owners the recertification process

  • Conduct local independent controls testing, enhance controls and close gaps at the facilities

  • Assist compliance team and facility before, during and after facility audits

  • Support the facility on pre-audit readiness checklists and assessments

  • Attend and present at the compliance council meetings

  • Complete Compliance Risk Assessments

What You Have:

  • Education: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Audit and Compliance Function: Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance (A&C) function; ability to manage the operation of A&C function in various business environment.

Shift Schedule:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2:15 pm - 10:15 pm (Boone Trail)

  • 2nd Shift Pay: $18.80 hour (includes 8% premium)

As an Assembler at Caterpillar you will:

  • Follow documented procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly and adjustment of parts and components.

  • Leverage lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination.

  • Use industrial power tools for assembly and lifting devices to move heavy components.

  • Be held accountable for completing standard work within the allotted cycle time (approximately 3-15-minute cycle time).

  • Cross-train across work areas and ability to learn new work areas.

Basic Requirements:

  • 6 months of previous work experience

  • Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods

  • Willing and able to perform repetitive operations

  • Willing and able to lift to 35 lbs.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Prior experience with hand tools or power tools

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Heavy equipment machine assembly experience

  • Previous work experience operating an electric hoist to lift more than 35 lbs.

  • Proven track record of good attendance and work history.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)

  • Knowledge of engines and components

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Previous forklift experience

  • Previous inspection experience

  • Experience with tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Job may be physically demanding at times and must be able to handle high volume fast-paced operation

  • Some positions will require forklift operation/training

  • May work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

  • May walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes

  • Must be able to wear proper PPE

  • May be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shift

  • Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift

  • Must have a flexible schedule

Starting hourly pay rate of $18.80 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)

This position is 2nd shift with an additional 7% night shift premium

Work Hours: 3PM - 1AM; Monday - Thursday
