Pediatric experience preferred.
If in the infusion clinic, minimum of 1 year experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
PALS training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire for infusion clinic; within 6 months for inpatient.
APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Status preferred or must be obtained within 120 days of hire.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Mental Health Technician is responsible for assisting in the delivery of continuous individual patient care, interaction, supervision and role modeling to pediatric patients and families under the supervision of a registered nurse. Reports to the RN - C/C Staff Nurse Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs basic patient care, clinical and non-clinical procedures appropriately under the direction of the registered nurse.
Maintains the safety of the patient and the environment.
Assists with the activities of daily living.
Collects, documents, and reports data to the registered nurse.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current certification as a nurse assistant, medical technician, medical assistant, emergency medical technician, or completion of a hospital-based training program for unlicensed assistive roles with similar clinical competencies. Nursing students can qualify if they are actively enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program with completion of at least two semesters of clinical rotation.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Graduate or equivalent.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Crisis Prevention (CPI) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.
Preferred:
Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, recreational therapy or related therapeutic discipline.
One year of related experience, with understanding and knowledge of mental illness.
Work experience in the treatment of children and adolescents seeking psychiatric treatment.
Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and thelike. Frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working condition due to performance ofcertain patient care activities. Frequent interactions with patients that display poor impulse control and behavior outside of social norms.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under direction of departmental leadership, the Patient Access Technician provides clerical and secretarial support for the patient care team and serves as a patient liaison for medical support services. Responsible for accurate data collection, documentation, and data retrieval with computerized systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets, instructs, directs and assists patients and visitors upon arrival to the service area.
Facilitates the revenue cycle process to include but not limited to patient registration, insurance verification to confirm active policy, co-payment collection, authorization data entry and billing inquiry functions.
Works collaboratively with various departments on patient access related information.
Conducts pre-registration and insurance verification for CHKDHS services.
Provides coverage to assigned registration locations including those outside of primary work location or by task assignment based on operational needs.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Business Process Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating process improvement projects using LEAN Six Sigma methodologies and tools. Based on the defined strategic goals of the organization and department, leads LEAN and Six Sigma project teams to desired outcomes. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides process analysis and makes recommendations for process improvement throughout all areas of the organization.
Applies knowledge of LEAN methodologies to mitigate waste, decrease cost, and improve outcomes.
Strives to support and enable the organization to become more self-sufficient and self-sustaining in process improvement endeavors.
Assists in setting the strategy for LEAN Six Sigma project implementation.
Working with executive leadership, selects and prioritizes projects using techniques including but not limited to a SWOT analysis to ensure work alignment with organizational strategic priorities.
Completes projects in a timely manner.
Trains team members on how to use LEAN Six Sigma tools and techniques to include but not limited to control charts, histograms and root cause analysis.
Provides guidance, mentoring and evaluation of the LEAN project team.
Creates project plans and guides team members to meet projects goals.
Collaborates in the planning for clinical care services and assures implementation of key strategies to meet system and facility goals for clinical care, service, and financial results.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Certification as a Master Black Belt (MBBSS) or Black Belt (BBSS) in Six Sigma including ASQ Body of Knowledge encouraged; however, would support on-the-job training and certification if necessary.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent field of study.
Masters degree preferred or minimum of 5 + years work experience in a healthcare setting in quality role applying LEAN-Six Sigma and other data driven improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to display information persuasively in support of data-driven decision making.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Project.
Must possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication with people at all levels of an organization.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Purchasing and Contract Manager reports to the Supply Chain Director and is responsible for purchasing functions including policy development, enforcement, vendor negotiation and financial reporting. Directly supervises other members on the purchasing team. Must communicate well with all levels internal and external to the organization. Seeks guidance from the Director and/or upper management for unusual or unanticipated circumstances that require deviation from financial and operational policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Staffs, manages, delegates, and evaluates workflow and functions of the purchasing department; consisting of several buyers, analysts, contract management analyst, and capital strategic sourcing specialist.
Exercises overall responsibility and accountability for daily operations and other negotiated assigned activities.
Ensures the quality and quantity of work performance for the purchasing team is consistent with customer departmental expectations, policy and standards.
Works independently and or collaboratively as needed with Director on creating policies and procedures, department projects and initiatives, and educational programs.
Facilitates problem resolution for work performed by others as necessary and communicates ongoing problems.
Manages overseeing the resolution of financial reporting and processing issues (AP primary contact for purchasing team).
Works collaboratively with other department managers and directors to improve purchasing efficiency and processes.
Effectively communicates with clinical and non-clinical leadership to help set service expectations of purchasing team.
Develops and collaboratively works with clinical and non-clinical staff on DNV process and procedures in relation to surveys, business reviews, and corrective action plans.
Works with Vendors establishing business relationships and conducts business reviews.
Manages and or participates in multiple projects at any given time in the clinical and non-clinical settings individually or within a group.
Manages and supports the Value Analysis Committee and provides guidance and leadership working through processes and or project initiatives in relation to products or services from start to finish.
Initiates, oversees, implements and tracks cost savings/opportunities for clinical and non-clinical initiatives.
Collaboratively works with clinical and non-clinical staff and or leadership communicating product information and or service notifications.
Sources and negotiates contracts for new products and services using national contracts, CHKD contracts, or develops new contracts.
Creates RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs as needed for the vetting of new and or existing vendors within department or for hospital committee initiatives.
Independently makes decisions for purchasing team in the absence of direct supervision.
Coordinates and oversees orientation/ training of new staff members.
Assists with coverage of assignments as needed.

Professional knowledge of areas of responsibility normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college/university or at least eight years of medical logistics experience.
Six years of progressive experience in a purchasing role required.
Demonstrates proficiency with purchasing related information systems.
Knowledgeable of sourcing activities including requests for proposals and final contract negotiations for both materials and services to assist in sourcing and purchasing activities.
Must be able to plan, supervise and establish a professional working environment within areas of responsibility.
Must possess the ability to identify problems and implement solutions for operational and organizational issues.
Leadership skills and delegation experience needed in order to direct and assign work to subordinates, explain hospital and department policies and procedures and communicate effectively with other professionals.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled individual that works in a healthcare setting to support the non-clinical and clinical functions of the service area. Functions under the direction and continuous supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (MD, NP, RN, LPN) during performance of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks. GENERAL SUMMARY
The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the actions of staff involved in the patient access / registration functions during a particular work shift. Performs specific assigned tasks and ensures the quality and quantity of work performance is consistent with policy and standard. The supervisor is proficient in the technical and professional skills of the supervised job functions and engages in staff job duties as part of the assigned work duties. Accurately processes documentation essential to billing, collecting, adjusting or maintaining patient accounts.
Acts to correct observed deviations from expected behavior and/or reports such to the manager if beyond his/her scope of authority.
Works collaboratively with patients, payers, vendors, hospital departments and other outside parties in relation to patient accounts.
