GENERAL SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Technician I works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as stated by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and reports to the Pharmacy Operations Supervisor. The technician assists the pharmacist and other health care professionals in the medication distribution system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses computer and relevant programs to access patient records to charge/credit patients for medications, and to verify patient's location.
Organizes and prioritizes phone calls and window traffic, and keeps the pharmacist informed.
Collects and organizes all pertinent information under the direction of the pharmacist.
Recognizes and prioritizes stat and emergency medication orders.
Appropriately uses and maintains all equipment ensuring it is clean and in working order.
Performs stock rotation, ordering, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Appropriately stores medications in their designated areas.
Compounds and/or prepackages oral suspensions, ointments/creams, unit dose oral syringes, inhalants, and tablets.
Accurately prepares patient-specific doses with correct medication, concentration/strength, and dose.
Labels patient medications properly and applies auxiliary labels when necessary.
Prepares medications for loading/refilling into automated dispensing devices, and to accurately place medications in the designated location.
Demonstrates ability to deliver patient-specific medications to the correct patient drawer, and remove expired medications from patient drawers appropriately.
Develops rapport with patient care units by being highly visible and available to serve their needs and address concerns as they arise.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Certified with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician OR
Certification eligible with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and certification obtained within 9 month of original hire date.
Technicians must hold current certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or
Completion of a pharmacy technician training program approved by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Requires basic interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a variety of departmental and hospital personnel when obtaining and/or replenishing medications.
Requires skills necessary to verify medication information with computer records, and appropriate documentation associated with medications.
Basic computer keyboard skills are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Pharmacy employees work in or near a clinical patient care environment with minimal exposure to hazards such as excess noise, dust, or extremes in temperature. Minimal or occasional exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common in a healthcare environment. Minimum adverse working conditions related to the proximity and services of the clinical healthcare services.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The RN - Children's Surgical Program Manager reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and is responsible for managing designated service personnel, coordinating and directing the workflow and functions of the American College of Surgeons Program to facilitate efficient workflow and data management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and delivers quality, cost effective, evidence based patient care that fits the criteria of a Pediatric Surgical Center Excellence of care.
Serves as the liaison between the Perioperative Services Department and hospital services necessary to validate and follow up on deviations.
Ensures that the Children's Surgical Program satisfies all the requirements of the American College of Surgeons designation as a Level 1 Center for Pediatric Surgery.
Delegates, problem solves, makes decisions and develops systems and processes for successful integration and implementation.
Provides oversight and management of all aspects of the Children's Surgical Program as well as oversight of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) to include but not to be limited to processes / systems, program analysis, development, implementation, facilitation, evaluation, restructuring, monitoring and/or consultation.
Independently carries out and is accountable for daily operations and other assigned activities.
Seeks guidance from the Director and/or upper management for unusual or unanticipated circumstances that require deviation from financial/operational policies and standards of practice.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Actively enrolled in a BSN program with completion within 18 months.
Minimum of 5 years clinical nursing experience in a Perioperative Services division or critical care unit necessary.
Healthcare/management experience preferred.
At least 3 years of progressively more responsible management experience preferred.
Previous experience in managing a Quality Program a plus.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to plan, establish and maintain a professional work environment.
Ability to identify problems and implement solutions for operational and organizational functions.
Interpersonal skills necessary to work with multi-disciplinary team to design and maintain excellence in the delivery of surgical care.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Technical and professional knowledge unique to the business and/or clinical operations of the designated services (Nursing, Financial, Human Resource, Information Systems, Risk, Governance, Regulations, Planning and Marketing).
Attendance at one national meeting within the three year verification or two year initial designation period required.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Establishes and maintains practice standards of care and clinical competencies for pressure ulcer prevention and wound/ostomy management; provides education and consultation for management of complex wound and ostomy patients.
Takes a leadership role in the evaluation and implementation of clinical products in the organization.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or a Registered Nurse holding a valid compact state license.
Active certification with the Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification Board as a CWCN, CWON, or CWOCN.
CPR training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in nursing is required. May consider a BSN for internal nurse candidates with applicable experience and active enrollment in a master's program within 1 year of completion from date of hire.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Mental health therapist compiles reports and treatment plans that are submitted for reimbursement to third party payer sources based on established guidelines. May function in an on-call capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the organization. Travel to offsite locations may be required. Reports to the Mental Health Therapy Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provision of Clinical Care
Conducts clinical psychiatric evaluation to include eliciting for mental health symptoms, chronic illness, trauma, disability, as well as the primary support group, educational system, social environment, legal system, and other psychosocial and environmental problems.
Evaluates children and adolescents to risk for harm to self or others and triggers to such.
Develops a clinical treatment plan to address diagnoses and symptoms identified.
Provides evidenced based therapies to children with mental health diagnoses and, potentially, co-occurring acute or chronic illness, trauma, or disability using individual, family, and group modalities.
Submits psychiatric evaluation, progress notes and treatment plan based on established guidelines to meet regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
Integration of Clinical Care
Completes comprehensive report on all of the above for review by broader treatment team.
Obtains outcome measures, through use of psychometric tools, shares data on patient progress with collaborating care providers, and tracks clinical trends.
Leads coordination efforts with patients medical care providers in order to ensure seamless integration of medical and mental health care.
Participates in integrated care teams.
Facilitates transitions along the continuum of care as needed as well as referrals to community-based resources, when needed.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Virginia clinical license.
Certification in any of the below evidenced-based modalities preferred, advanced training in modalities also considered: Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Based Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health or related field.
At minimum, two years of post-license related work experience preferred.
Experience with implementing evidence-based treatments with children and families required.
Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary.
Ability to work as a multidisciplinary team member.

Ensures safe and effective drug therapy throughout the medication distribution process beginning with the review of physician's orders, accurate preparation of medications and administration of medication to the patient.
Responds to drug information inquiries from other healthcare professionals.
Provides oversight and supervision of duties performed by a pharmacy technician and pharmacy interns.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Must possess a Virginia Pharmacy License or be eligible for licensure within four months of hire.

Must be a graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy.
Must have interpersonal skills to communicate and gain cooperation of hospital administration and staff, patients, their families and guests regarding drug therapy and other important aspects of pharmaceutical care.
Must have analytical skills to insure medication is prepared in accordance with professional standards and practices.
Must possess critical thinking skills to determine when to consult and advise physicians and patients as to the use of medications and their possible side effects.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) provides oversight, coordination and management of respective regional hub and serves as the initial point of contact for incoming Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP) consult requests. Providing case-specific recommendations regarding behavioral health interventions including parent coaching, parent support and treatment/practice recommendations for PCPs.
Consulting with PCPs on current treatment plans to determine best course of action and providing alternative recommendations when needed.
Providing ongoing support for specific cases with the goal of working with PCPs (and hub team members) to develop transition plans to long-term care.
Provides time-limited behavioral health support directly to PCP patients upon request/recommendation via telehealth. Reasons for direct support could include, but are not limited to:
Providing short term bridge treatment until patient receives long-term behavioral health services.
Conducting brief behavioral health evaluations to determine accurate diagnoses and/or clarify diagnostic uncertainties.
Providing direct family support to facilitate linkage with care navigation services.
If additional care is needed outside of the primary care setting, works in conjunction with regional hub care navigator to refer patients to the appropriate external behavioral health resources.
Provides oversight, coordination and management of regional hub operations.
Provides day to day operational supervision of regional hub's care navigators.
Conducts regular outreach to primary care provider offices within respective VMAP region.
Assists with VMAP educational offerings, including the recruitment of regional staff/faculty and marketing VMAP educational opportunities to regional PCPs.
Works in conjunction with VMAP Medical Director and Medical Society of Virginia Foundation (MSVF) to integrate appropriate clinical and administrative functions into hub activities.
Assists MSVF and appropriate VMAP team members to collect and maintain all required data to ensure evaluation and reporting requirements are met.
Adheres to HIPAA privacy policies and hospital/health center regulations.
Completes all other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Administrator.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Virginia license in one of the following: Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Professional Counseling (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Psychologist (LCP).
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in a related field.
Minimum of five years of clinical work experience.
Must have a specialization in child and adolescent behavioral health as documented by education and previous work experience.
Supervision and/or consultation experience required.
Experience working with primary care providers required.
Teaching experience preferred.
