GENERAL SUMMARY
The Mental Health Site Supervisor (LCSW or LPC) provides evidenced-based treatment and evaluation to children and families. Serves as a resource to on-site mental health staff regarding skill demonstration, promotion of knowledge, and communication with leadership. Responsible for aspects of staff scheduling, oversight of direct reports, and provision of evaluation, program/process improvement, engagement, and innovation. Reports to the Practice Manager II.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provision of Clinical Care
Conducts mental health evaluations, participates in treatment planning including safety, and provides evidenced based therapies to children with mental health conditions and, potentially, co-occurring acute or chronic illness, trauma, or disability.
Ensures comprehensive assessment and recommended treatment plan is submitted for reimbursement to third party insurance payer sources based on established guidelines.
Obtains outcome measures, when necessary, using psychometric tools; shares data on patient progress with collaborating physicians and tracks clinical trends.
Acts as an advocate and mental health educator to the child's primary support group, to include the child's primary care and specialty doctor, parental unit, educational system, legal system, and other parties invested in child's care.
Oversight of Clinical Staff
Ensures that the site is safe, clean, and maintained in accordance with company policies; ensures that all site staff follow charting procedures and regulatory requirements, and that all staff assigned to the site act as a cohesive team.
Assists in orientation and training of clinicians new to the mental health program on work expectations, our commitment to professionalism, and adherence to the mission of CHKD's Mental Health Service Line.
Conducts mock chart audits in accordance with DMAS and Medicaid regulations, when needed.
Generates site-specific systems and processes to improve quality of service, employee, and patient satisfaction.
Oversees clinicians new to the mental health program to ensure accurate diagnoses, mission driven treatment and safety plans, and fidelity to evidence based clinical modalities.
Collaborates with program manager to problem solve staff concerns, support staff development, and provide feedback regarding clinical professional growth as needed.
May have direct reports and perform employee evaluations.
Assists management with scheduling and coverage as needed.
Provides conflict resolution with patients, families, providers, and outside agencies.
Responds to all APT and Behavior Events and supporting clinical needs of the patient/family during event.
Provides clinical supervision as a board-approved supervisor to team members as necessary; signs off on all clinical documentation by supervisees.
Participates in the disciplinary process with management as directed.
Other
May function in an on-call capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current Virginia license as a LCSW or LPC.
Certification in any of the below evidenced-based modalities preferred, advanced training in modalities also considered: Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Based Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health or a related field.
Two years of post-license related work experience preferred.
Experience with implementing evidence-based treatments with children and families and Telemedicine based interventions/assessment required.
Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary.
Ability to work as a multidisciplinary team member.

WORKING CONDITIONS

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Neonatal Perinatal Outreach Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, including daily planning, work scheduling, coordination, and operational performance of the Neonatal Perinatal Outreach Center (NPOC) and defined work units. Responsibilities include but are not limited to collecting and analyzing clinical data on NICU / PICU patients on admission and reporting weekly updates and discharges to referring hospitals, physicians and/or PCPs. Expected to independently carry out assigned responsibilities but seeks guidance from management given unusual or unanticipated circumstances that require deviation of policy / practice or allocation of funds to resolve. Reports to department leadership.

Develops, coordinates and implements the regional maternal newborn transport reviews and perinatal partnerships.
Works collaboratively with community physicians to develop collegial relationships in support of identifying issues and concerns regarding transport, hospital communication, and educational needs.
Coordinates and provides support for regional education / certification required for the NPOC.
Participates as a committee member for the CHKD Neonatal Perinatal Perspectives conference.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Mental Health Therapist (Master's Level) is responsible for conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based therapies to patients and their families under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Reports to the Mental Health Therapy Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts mental health evaluations to identify mental health symptoms and psychosocial stressors and/or supports to include chronic illness, trauma, disability, primary support group, educational experiences, social environment, legal system and other psychosocial or environmental factors.
Develops an individualized treatment plan to address identified diagnoses and symptoms.
Provides evidenced based therapies to children with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring acute or chronic illness, trauma, or disability.
Completes comprehensive evaluations for review by the broader treatment team (such as treating MD referral source).
Completes psychosocial evaluations, progress notes and individualized treatment plans in accordance with the established best practice and third party guidelines.
Evaluates children and adolescents at risk for harm to self or others in order to determine the appropriate level of care and facilitates admission to inpatient psychiatric facilities and/or referrals to other community mental health services, as appropriate.
Obtains outcome measures, through use of psychometric tools in order to track clinical trends and share data on patient progress with collaborating physicians.
Leads coordination efforts with patients' medical care providers in order to ensure seamless integration of medical and mental health care.
Runs evidence based groups as a co-facilitator.
May participate in on-call phone skills coaching as needed.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Must be in the process of working towards clinical hours of a current Virginia clinical license (Licensed Clinical Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provision of clinical care-
Provides evidence-based skills coaching, behavioral modification and direct observation to pediatric patients with mental health diagnoses.
Implements and reinforces strategies included in patient's treatment or behavioral plan. Relays ineffective aspects of plan back to broader team for review and adjustment.
Completes coping cards with each patient and encourages their use.
Completes nursing tasks, as delegated by the RN, for medically involved clients.
Maintains a collaborative and supportive stance with patients as a means of maintaining unit calm.
Displays expertise in de-escalation cycle and educates patients and families daily on its use.
Crisis Management-
Maintains consistent awareness of where each assigned patient is on de-escalation cycle; utilizes skills appropriate for observed de-escalation level.
Adopts a collaborative and reflective stance with patients with the goal of de-escalation in mind.
Provides emotional first aid and de-briefing to individual patients and groups after behavioral escalations.
Ensure safe and compliant treatment setting-
Manages patient's room, unit environment and team schedule, ensuring consistent structure and a priority towards safety.
Ensures work areas are organized, safe and ready for the next activity or shift.
Maintains constant awareness of patient location and immediately alerts nurse to changes in mental status.
Completes regular environmental assessment.
Admission/Registration/Greeter-
Processes admissions in a timely, organized and client-centered fashion.
Assures anyone entering the unit is free of contraband by encouraging use of assigned lockers.
Provides updates to parent/guardian regarding patient condition and progress, information is linked to the plan of care; if unsure of boundaries consults with treatment team prior to sharing information.
Greets families when they are present at point of access, provides guidance on way finding and unit rules.
Emergency Department-
Oversees Emergency Department mental health flow by acting as a liaison between provider, charge nurse, bedside nurse, evaluating therapist, admission staff, parent and child.
Provides evidence-based skills coaching, behavioral modification and direct observation to pediatric patients with mental health diagnoses. Assistance in application of restraint when deemed medically necessary and ordered by treating physician.
Completes nursing tasks (Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Vital Signs, nutrition, patient weights), as delegated by the RN, for medically involved clients.
Maintains compliant and safe environment of care including stocking, setting up rooms for admission and general cleaning.
Attends change of shift and unit level huddles.
Assists with de-escalation and restraint application when needed.
Completes coping cards with each client and encourages their use.
Maintains consistent awareness of where each assigned patient is on de-escalation cycle; utilizes skills appropriate for observed de-escalation level.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Security Officer II provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In addition to Security Officer I duties, the role requires situational awareness, assessment and interventional skills. The role often entails responding to escalated situations with a focus on de-escalation to prevent injuries and preserve a healthy and safe environment. The Security Officer II works in collaboration with all clinical teams, specifically supporting the mental health programs to maintain a safe and therapeutic clinical environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the security of buildings and property through regular patrols and reporting.
Ensures patient safety by completing regular environmental assessment and periodic unit rounds.
Investigates incidents that occur on health system property.
Reports as a team member to all hospital behavior emergencies. Responds quickly in a professional and therapeutic manner.
Performs least restrictive verbal and physical de-escalation techniques necessary.
Generates reports and completes follow up on incidents as directed.
Maintains and inspects alarms and safety equipment.
Assists with evacuations in emergency situations requiring strength, stamina and flexibility.
Responsible for Safe Car transport of patients being admitted in coordination with mental health clinicians.
Provides support to ensure a Safety Officer is present as needed for court proceedings.
Assists with patient admissions in a timely, organized and client-centered fashion.
Responsible for visitor management to include providing orientation, screening and badges for entrance.
Participates in debriefing of escalation events.
Assists with patient transitions as needed.
Works to establish a rapport with patients with the goal of de-escalation in mind.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least two years of security officer experience required.
Minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting, crisis intervention, de-escalation or hospital environment preferred.
Military or Law Enforcement experience preferred.
Demonstrated computer literacy, loss prevention techniques and positive guest relations skills.
Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle.
Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
CPI Crisis Prevention Training must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-hire physical and Functional Capacity Screening and annually thereafter.

General Summary: Reports to the Operating Room Manager. The Surgical Technician is responsible for assisting the RN and surgeon during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set up utilizing knowledge of asepsis and sterilization techniques. Experience, Education and Training Minimum:

General Summary: The Sleep Technologist reports to designated Manager/Director. Under qualified medical performs comprehensive polysomnographic diagnostic and therapeutic services for testing, evaluation, treatment, care and education of sleep disorders.
