Under the general direction of a clinical lead, the Patient Care Assistant provides a variety of uncomplicated clinical treatments and services for assigned patients in a patient care area.

Facilitates throughput within outpatient medical practice to include obtaining vital signs and transporting patients within the outpatient medical practice.
Enters patient screening forms accurately into electronic health record system.
Performs general administrative duties to include but not limited to faxing, scanning, filing and copying.
Cleans and stocks patient rooms and nursing stations.
Schedules patient appointments.
Provides appropriate non-clinical information to facilitate visit process.
Maintains supplies, equipment and instruments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None required.
Certification as a nurse assistant preferred.
Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Security Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and directing the actions of security staff during a particular work shift. This role provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and requires situational awareness, assessment and interventional skills. The role entails responding to escalated situations with a focus on de-escalation to prevent injuries and preserve a healthy, safe environment. The Security Supervisor works in collaboration with all clinical teams, supporting the mental health programs to maintain a safe and therapeutic clinical environment. Reports to the Security Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and directs the actions of security staff during assigned work shift.
Ensures the security of buildings and property through regular patrols and updates logs.
Investigates incidents that occur on health system property.
Performs the least restrictive verbal and physical de-escalation techniques necessary.
Assists with evacuations in emergency situations requiring strength, stamina and flexibility.
Generates reports and completes follow up on incidents as directed.
Maintains and inspect alarms and safety equipment.
Recommends human resources actions including hiring, employee relations and performance reviews to manager.
Ensures patient safety by completing regular environmental assessment and periodic unit rounds.
Responsible for Safe Car transport of patients being admitted in coordination with mental health clinicians[MG1] .
Provides support to ensure a Safety Officer is present as needed for court proceedings[MG2]
Assist with patient admissions in a timely, organized and client-centered fashion.
Responsible for visitor management to include providing orientation, screening and badges for entrance[MG3] .
Participates in debriefing of escalation events.
Assist with patient transitions as needed.
Works to establish a rapport with patients with the goal of de-escalation in mind.
Attends change of shift and unit level huddles as requested.
Performs risk assessments for incoming trauma or police involved patients.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
None required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school graduate or equivalent.
Approximately two to three years of progressively more responsible related work experience, or minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety or other related discipline.
At least two years of security officer experience required.
Minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting, crisis intervention, de-escalation or hospital environment preferred
Military or Law Enforcement experience preferred.
Demonstrated computer literacy, loss prevention techniques and positive guest relations skills.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to assign work to subordinates.
Must meet the insurability policy requirements to drive a CHKD vehicle.
Must be able to pass the CHKD driving test within 30 days of employment.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
CPI Crisis Prevention Training must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer pre-hire physical and Functional Capacity Screening Exam and annually thereafter.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed inside and outside the hospital in all weather. Position may require short bursts of running.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Reports to the Department Manager, Supervisor or Lead Clinical Lab Scientist and is responsible for following established policies, procedures, and regulations. Performs and assists with various clinical laboratory test procedures and ensures proper maintenance and operation of instrumentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Manager, Supervisor or Lead Clinical Lab Scientist on a variety of laboratory projects and participates in PI, QA, and QC to ensure all regulatory requirements maintain an 'in compliance' status.
Functions in a charge or lead role as assigned for the days operations to ensure safe quality and efficient workflow, practices, staffing and operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist in all disciplines by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or recent certification eligibility required. Must receive certification within 6 months of date of hire.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing personnel and other clinicians relative to patient testing and information gathering.
Has approximately six to twelve months laboratory training/job experience necessary in order to become familiar with a variety of laboratory testing procedures.
Ability to resolve technical problems using standard guides and procedures.
Analytical skills necessary in order to perform and interpret routine tests and recognize abnormal/critical test results.
Must be able to determine the appropriate course of action for abnormal, atypical or critical test results.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) software preferred.
CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire for identified job roles.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Laboratory service areas have work environments with frequent exposure to physical discomforts due to unpleasant odors from specimens and chemicals. Frequent exposure to infectious agents when handling hazardous material, but potential for personal harm or injury is reduced when proper safety and health precautions are followed.

Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient, family and staff education.
Demonstrates effective use of time and resources.
Provides coverage as needed to locations outside of primary work location based on operational needs.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current State license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Business and Data Analytics Manager is accountable for overseeing and managing all front/back office staff and front/back office operations at multiple locations throughout the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughter's Health System (CHKDHS), as well as providing business data coordination and analysis, administrative and clerical support functions, and other assigned activities for the Therapy department(s). Emergency Department-
Oversees Emergency Department mental health flow by acting as a liaison between provider, charge nurse, bedside nurse, evaluating therapist, admission staff, parent and child.
Provides evidence-based skills coaching, behavioral modification and direct observation to pediatric patients with mental health diagnoses. Assistance in application of restraint when deemed medically necessary and ordered by treating physician.
Completes nursing tasks (Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Vital Signs, nutrition, patient weights), as delegated by the RN, for medically involved clients.
Maintains compliant and safe environment of care including stocking, setting up rooms for admission and general cleaning.
Attends change of shift and unit level huddles.
Assists with de-escalation and restraint application when needed.
Completes coping cards with each client and encourages their use.

Provision of Clinical Care
Conducts clinical psychiatric evaluation to include eliciting for mental health symptoms, chronic illness, trauma, disability, as well as the primary support group, educational system, social environment, legal system, and other psychosocial and environmental problems.
Evaluates children and adolescents to risk for harm to self or others and triggers to such.
Develops a clinical treatment plan to address diagnoses and symptoms identified.
Provides evidenced based therapies to children with mental health diagnoses and, potentially, co-occurring acute or chronic illness, trauma, or disability using individual, family, and group modalities.
Submits psychiatric evaluation, progress notes and treatment plan based on established guidelines to meet regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
Integration of Clinical Care
Completes comprehensive report on all of the above for review by broader treatment team.
Obtains outcome measures, through use of psychometric tools, shares data on patient progress with collaborating care providers, and tracks clinical trends.
Leads coordination efforts with patients medical care providers in order to ensure seamless integration of medical and mental health care.
Participates in integrated care teams.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP), the Athletic Trainer manages the needs of the patient within a clinic setting and provides athletic training intervention by reviewing, revising, and implementing techniques or discharging athletic training services as deemed appropriate. Practices according to the NATABOC (National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification) standards of professional practice and complies with all the legal requirements regulating the practice of athletic training. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs appropriate patient intake to determine medical history, chief complaint and risk factors.
Performs physical examinations to establish a diagnosis and prognosis prior to intervention; communicates all pertinent information to the physician, APP, parent, physical therapist, school athletic trainer, and/or other staff as appropriate.
Develops and implements injury and illness prevention strategies for athletes and the physically active.
Establishes a plan of care for athletes in consultation with the supervising physician/advanced practice provider.
Manages the needs of the patient based on the examination, diagnosis, prognosis, goals and outcomes of the planned interventions for identified impairments.
Applies splints, braces or casts as appropriate, assesses for proper fit and support, and educates patient/parent on appropriate wear, care, and signs/symptoms of concern.
Maintains clinic flow by directing support staff to ensure patient/ parent satisfaction, patient safety, quality of care and efficiency of clinic operations.
Educates students and parents regarding injury/disease management including, but not limited to, use of assistive devices, use of splints/braces, exercise/activity recommendations/limitations, healthy lifestyle behaviors and proper nutrition for the physically active.
Assists administrative staff as needed (diagnostic scheduling, rescheduling of patients, surgery scheduling, etc).

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Certification by BOC and licensed to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Virginia. Licensure, certification and/or registration with National Athletic Trainers Association Certification.

Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or an accredited educational program by the NATA-BOC.
