What you'll do here
As a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Cengage, you will help test software, integrated systems, and web applications to ensure that our systems and projects are working as designed (and required). You will mentor and coach other QA engineers and engineering team members in quality assurance practices, skills, and tools. You will assist in maintaining and developing quality standards followed by our organization, and will contribute to the design, development and implementation of test plans. You will also take the lead QA role within large cross-functional projects and feature development, and will be given opportunities to help define direction and set goals.
Responsibilities include:
Involvement in full SDLC to identify QA needs, constraints, and dependencies early on.
Leading creation of test plans from technical design and/or requirements documents.
Iterative review and maintenance of test plans throughout SDLC.
Assisting with coordination of QA resources across multiple workstreams.
Solving issues (in QA or on live) as assigned.
Identifying, designing, and assisting with implementation of QA automation.
Performing manual test cases, defect logging and initial defect triage.
Crafting and coordinating technical and user documentation.
Supervising QA work from 3rd party vendors and internal QA resources
Skills You'll Need Here:
5+ years of relevant software development quality assurance experience.
Knowledge of test case creation and defect management.
Familiarity with Agile software development, TDD and BDD concepts.
Experience performing QA functions on web sites with transactional eCommerce functionality.
Experience working with different web testing, and facilitation tools (JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium, Postman, BrowserStack).
Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and/or any web CMS systems is preferred.
Broad knowledge of operating systems and web browsers used on Mac, Windows, and Mobile devices.

The Associate Learning Designer (ALD) is responsible for assisting ed2go Learning Designers across projects and in all tasks associated with the course development workflows. The ALD will assist, coordinate, or own tasks assigned by the Leaning Designer in alignment with the processes, style guides, and quality standards. You will play a meaningful role in helping the Learning Design team build exciting learning experiences!
Learning Design Quality and Innovation
You will support all activities related to the course development process, from product strategy through launch. Key responsibilities include:
Assists in the creation of a detailed, Learning Design Plan (LDP) that aligns with the product vision and strategy as outlined by the Product Manager
Conducts product research to help inform the LDP
Takes lead from the Learning Designer, helping to analyze, design, develop, and implement learning curricula and content with the product team
Uses an array of data available to help the team make informed design and deliver decisions.
Review assessments for objective alignment and strength of question
Assists in content review to ensure content is free from negative stereotypes and unconscious bias, is respectful, representative, and able to be accessed by learners from the broadest range of demographics and with varying capabilities.
Performs a quality assurance review of final content in the platform prior to course launch.
Team Collaboration
You will work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Key responsibilities include:
Works closely with members of each development team, including Subject Matter Experts, Course Development Managers, Product Managers, and other collaborators to produce a product that meets or exceeds expectations set out in the Product Strategy Document
Assists in the onboarding and enablement of new SMEs
Helps to ensure projects are on time and on budget
Provides frequent updates to team members on an agreed-upon cadence
Operational Support
You will contribute to and be an advocate for consistent improvement and continuous innovation, suggesting ways to achieve better processes, systems, and approaches. Key responsibilities include:
Follows and completes all tasks outlined in established workflows for given project types
Organizes final course documents for archiving
Update process documents and clearly communicate with all team members.
Looks for opportunities to take ownership of project tasks in order to build proficiency and confidence.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree required. (Master's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Education preferred)
Minimum of 2-years related experience working with content and designing/creating different types of learning
Experience in crafting inclusive, diverse content
Proven dedication to continuous professional improvement and learning on digital and self-directed online learning, learning science, and pedagogical trends
Ability to apply learning science and e-learning methodologies to assigned products, courses and subject areas

What You'll Do Here:
The Associate Learning Designer (ALD) is responsible for assisting ed2go Learning Designers across projects and in all tasks associated with the course development workflows. The ALD will assist, coordinate, or own tasks assigned by the Leaning Designer in alignment with the processes, style guides, and quality standards. You will play a meaningful role in helping the Learning Design team build exciting learning experiences!
Learning Design Quality and Innovation
You will support all activities related to the course development process, from product strategy through launch. Key responsibilities include:
Assists in the creation of a detailed, Learning Design Plan (LDP) that aligns with the product vision and strategy as outlined by the Product Manager
Conducts product research to help inform the LDP
Takes lead from the Learning Designer, helping to analyze, design, develop, and implement learning curricula and content with the product team
Uses an array of data available to help the team make informed design and deliver decisions.
Review assessments for objective alignment and strength of question

Operational Support

What You'll Do Here:
The Manager is part of our Controllership Team and supports the company's external reporting and certain technically advanced accounting matters.
Lead the company's external reporting process, with primary focus on preparation and review of publicly issued quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring alignment with SEC rules and regulations for 10-Qs / 10-Ks
Improve and manage the quarterly timetable for external reporting including reporting requirements and timing
As system administrator of Workiva, own, maintain and drive improvements and efficiencies
Support coordination with internal/external counsel and external audit process, including preparation and review of supporting audit schedules
Preparation of the consolidated cash flows (GAAP, Free Cash Flow and Leveraged Free Cash Flow) and the preparation, review, and analysis supporting the quarterly Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)
Supports quarterly and annual earnings release preparation of investor materials

What you'll do here:
The User Experience Researcher is responsible for understanding and communicating user behaviors, needs, struggles and workflows. You are proficient in human-centered design and well versed in UX research methodologies. You will drive research strategy and implement various methodologies to deliver valuable, data-driven insights. You will help tell the users' story and articulate their needs through triangulating data and insights. UXR work will advise product strategy, product development, and design to ultimately deliver products that are intuitive and easy to use.
Key Responsibilities/Duties :
Lead, design and implement generative and evaluative research efforts (e.g., usability testing, one-on-one interviews, heuristic evaluations, experience maps, contextual inquiries, ethnographic research, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, A/B testing) ensuring the right strategy and methodology are applied to deliver meaningful results.
Clearly and effectively communicate research results, key findings and recommendations to internal partners via impactful presentations and research assets.
Build and communicate deep understanding of our users' needs, goals, and workflows, turning qualitative and quantitative user research into insights and artifacts which will craft the future of our products.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, technology product managers, engineering, marketing, analytics teams, and leadership to identify knowledge gaps and propose and plan methodology to gain needed insights.
Skills you will need here:
Required Skills - Ideally > 4Years Professional Experience
First-hand, practical experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, including: Design Sprints, usability, benchmarking, 1:1 interviews/IDI's, concept testing, experimentation: A/B and multivariate testing) card sorting, tree-testing and survey design and analysis. Proficient in current and emerging user experience trends, tools, and methodologies.
Mastery and experience with triangulating data from multiple sources, experience with google analytics, design thinking and facilitation, lean UX, research frameworks, visual mapping and modeling. Fluent in current and emerging user experience trends, tools, and methodologies. Design experience a plus.
Experience in working on cross-functional teams and closely with UX Design, Product Managers, Engineers and applying innovative user experience research strategies and techniques to a variety of product development projects and initiatives.
Excellent project management and thought leadership skills; collaboration/teamwork skills; a problem-solver with a results-orientated approach Strong eye for business and understanding of product development and different development strategies.
Expert user of digital research and project management tools (Dovetail, Qualtrics, Optimizely, OptimalSort, Recollective, UserZoom, Smartsheets, etc.)
