What does a Manager-In-Training (MIT) do?
Check in with customers before they leave the shop to make sure they had a great experience
Running the floor (making sure each employee is where they need to be, ensuring everything has been checked on each vehicle, and every customer is satisfied before they leave).
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
Anyone in Management is always responsible for training and developing their subordinates.
Being a role model to the other employees in the shop.
Holding team members accountable.
MITs are also expected to perform all technician duties including but not limited to:
Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings
Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
Inspect and top off fluids
Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
Process payment for services performed.
Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness
Good to Know Before You Start!
Must be adaptive to change
Basic computer skills are needed
Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars
You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
You may need to work in hot/cold weather conditions
Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
Need to have reliable transporation

Leads recruiting, hiring and retention efforts for site team. Responsible for ensuring proper staffing and scheduling for assigned location. Ensures all training and development of site staff to company standards. Appropriately addresses employee performance issues and recognizes good performance.
Monitors and manages site through cleanliness, value, equipment operation and service. Ensures daily openings and closings are on schedule and standards and procedures are maintained.

Responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Condusts weekly and bi-weekly audits in Workday to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
Responsible for assisting in preparation, processing and distribution of multi-state, multi-location weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
Record and process off-cycle payroll corrections and adjustments, as needed.
Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now and Workday.
Assist in maintaining, monitoring and administering state withholding and unemployment accounts across all states and company codes.
Trouble-shoot payroll problems and interface with employees on payroll matters.
Interface with management regarding payroll questions and employee requirements.
Update records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, status, and pay; calculating vacation earned.
Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings.
Complete employment and wage verification requests.

What does a Manager-In-Training (MIT) do?
Check in with customers before they leave the shop to make sure they had a great experience
Running the floor (making sure each employee is where they need to be, ensuring everything has been checked on each vehicle, and every customer is satisfied before they leave).
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
Anyone in Management is always responsible for training and developing their subordinates.
Being a role model to the other employees in the shop.
Holding team members accountable.
MITs are also expected to perform all technician duties including but not limited to:
Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings
Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure
Inspect and top off fluids
Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services
Process payment for services performed.
Perform coolant exchanges and transmission drain & fill services
Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
