The Lead EHS Specialist promotes a positive safety culture while coordinating and implementing all areas of company safety programs as directed by the Safety Manager. This includes conducting trainings and coaching employees on observed work habits.
The Lead EHS Specialist is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams. The Lead EHS Specialist is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including process safety improvements, and tracking all associates actions through to completion. Identify and inform site leadership of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly, and monthly standard work
Facilitate an accurate and timely incident investigation process
Maintain required documentation based on company policies
Enter Safety Incident Information in internal database in a timely manner
Perform safety observations & safety audits
Train and assist others (Managers, safety team members, etc.) to complete their safety responsibilities (Audits, Follow Safety Rules, etc.)
Perform specific safety training as required by the Safety Manager
