  • Procure material, equipment, supplies, services, and commodity products of low to medium value and medium to high volume

  • Evaluate cost and analyze supplier bids to attain best overall value

  • Negotiate price, delivery and quality of products/services and determine supplier selections

  • Track all Purchase Orders through reports, work matched exceptions, open commitments, receiving discrepancies, returns, supplier discrepancies, and problem reports/supplier corrective action responses. Interface with receiving and accounting to resolve issues

  • Manage supplier relationship through the acquisition process

  • Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect competitive total cost of ownership consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Evaluate root cause and corrective action with suppliers on late delivery performance

  • Cut wire to specified lengths, using wire cutters.

  • Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device.

  • Route, comb, twist, wrap, tie and attach wire to terminal points, according to layout, using hand tools.

The person selected for this position will design, develop and troubleshoot electronic systems to include, but are not limited to, mission computers, data acquisition systems, avionics power supplies, batteries, encryptors, encoders, RF transmitters/receivers, inertial navigation systems, flight sensors, flight termination systems, actuation devices, subsystem controllers, and automated test equipment. Will work primarily at the board level performing schematic capture and circuit board layout. The successful individual will be proficient in circuit analysis and use SPICE simulation tools.

Essential Functions:

  • Obtain, and maintain, a US goverment security clearance

  • Use electrical engineering knowledge to support the definition and assessment of interoperability of various electronic systems on flight vehicles and associated support equipment

  • Design and maintain schematics and other related engineering documentation

  • Define electronic system architecture, electronic assembly design, performance predictions, and external vendor support for various engineering assemblies

  • Provide electrical engineering expertise to support the integration and troubleshooting of a wide range of electronic assemblies
