THE ROLE : The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for covering the assigned territory. They will utilize individual technical, communication and product skills to solve customer fluid handling problems and increase company business through the development of Godwin Dri-PrimeR pumping systems and related pumping products, particularly as related to the rental of pumps in the construction and industrial field. Preferred candidates will live in the designated territory. In this role, the incumbent will also be responsible for the overall growth and profitability of his/her sales territory by effectively managing time and sales skills and resources. Utilizing strong technical and product knowledge, the Outside Sales Representative will solve customer fluid handling problems and increase Company business through the development of Godwin Dri-PrimeR and Flygt pumping systems, related pumping products, and aftermarket sales and services, particularly as related to the rental of pumps in the construction and industrial field. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Plan and organize business strategies to achieve desired growth results. Establish new rental and sales accounts through territory management, to include cold calling and personal visits to potential customer sites. Develop a diverse customer base to include traditional and nontraditional accounts and specialty market segments.
Identify, analyze and assess customers' pumping needs and react appropriately by recommending and designing pumping systems.
Develop a strong understanding of market conditions and local competitor pricingin order to position Xylem as the leading choice.
Provide technical services and support to customers, including educating them through in-person presentations and equipment demonstrations.
Expand the sale and rental of pumping products and aftermarket sales and services through establishing and maintaining customer contacts.
Collaborate with office and support staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
Collaborate with local and other Xylem sales teams, as well as, all branch and corporate departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Growth Center Management, Branch Manager and Sales Team regarding new equipment, equipment availability and rental programs. This will include industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
Utilizing the Customer Relationship Management system, generate sales plans, sales reports, bids, proposals and quotes; maintain prompt completion of filing expense reports and call reports.
Keep up-to-date with and review/analyze lead generators.
Participate in trade/professional shows and conferences as required.
Remain conscious and role model a safety-first approach at all time; ensure safety and regulatory compliance at both Xylem offices and on customer sites.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to use consistent business processes to achieve desired results, including ability to react appropriately and timely to changing business needs.
Willingness and ability to provide superior customer service at all times.
General knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulics; pneumatics; water flow; diesel, gas and electric motors.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

Effective interpersonal skills with customers, coworkers and management team
Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.
Ability to meet and continuously maintain authorization to operate a Company vehicle.
Ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Three years' experience in related field of pumps or pumping systems within industry or construction industries preferred
Three years' experience in related equipment rental preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Previous experience with salesforce.com highly preferred
DAY IN THE LIFE : In this role, the working environment is both in office and visiting customer job sites as well as a shop environment. This position requires the ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions. The standard weekly job hours are 40 hours and the travel requirement is up to 50%. This position requires the new hire to lift up to 70 lbs.

Strategic Oversight
Serve as part of the site leadership team, directing, coaching, and acting as lead subject matter expert (SME) to EHS activities.
Strategy planning, tactical execution, and delivery of critical EHS commitments
Identify, mitigate, and/or eliminate occupational safety hazards using the hierarchy of controls methodology.
Contribute to the global strategy which dictates goal development and deployment.
Maintain a culture of compliance with Local, State, Federal, and Country regulations for occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Serve as lead and/or liaison when dealing with regulatory agencies
Act as liaison to production supervision and personnel for exposure monitoring results, recommendations, and control strategies
Lead efforts to reduce the environmental footprint in waste to landfill, water, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Assist in developing programs that continuously Improve injury prevention and occupational exposure
Build cross-functional relationships with Business and Functional leaders to foster support for continual EHS improvement.
Assist site with coordination, development, and delivery of EHS&S training and education programs for new hires and existing employees either by use of CBT or in-person training to meet regulatory and Xylem requirements.
Coordinate the distribution and communication of applicable EHSMS elements at the site to support comprehension, implementation, and accountability.
Participate in the Xylem Corporate EHS&S Audit Program to support ongoing compliance and management system audits at various operations and locations throughout Xylem. Serve as an audit team member and/or audit team leader.
Ensure the Insurance carrier's audit findings are closed within a reasonable time frame.
Oversee and drive BCP, ERP, IH Monitoring, BBSO, Security, MOC, and XPS action plans with the site.
Oversee (1) direct report. Manage dotted line reports, as applicable, with their personal and technical development, while driving accountability.
Tactical Oversight
Drive and expect zero injuries as an acceptable safety culture as a KPI.
Drive and expect zero environmental NOVs as a KPI
Monitor and drive 100% Training completion.
Assist in maintaining safety-related permits and air monitoring equipment.
Perform Job Hazard Analysis, system auditing, and ergonomic task analysis.
Monitor contractor safety compliance.
Act as Incident Commander by managing the containment, clean up, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Identify, monitor, and mitigate health and safety activities related to occupational noise.
Complete, communicate, and manage the site's risk assessment and overall mitigation plans/projects.
Outline the annual capital budget needed for injury prevention investments.
Maintain safety, DOT, and environmental metrics.
Manage recordkeeping (OSHA 300, IMSS, or EHS)
Lead, direct, and perform environmental (Air, Water, Waste) regulatory inspections including -cradle to grave- environmental audits of Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDF)
Lead, direct, manage, and coach teams on accident investigations and help facilitate the programs and procedures to ensure work-related injuries are reported and investigated to prevent reoccurrences.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on the organization's needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
5+ years' experience working as a safety professional in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
3+ years supervising direct reports.
Construction experience preferred.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologists (OHST) preferred.
Federal OSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health for general industry.
Federal MSHA and state-equivalent programs for occupational safety and health for surface and subsurface mines.
Federal EPA and state-equivalent programs for environmental protection.
Department of Transportation (DOT) programs.
Behavioral-based safety concepts involving industrial and manufacturing processes.
Proficiently competent with the use of computers and Microsoft Word PowerPoint, and Excel.
Additional Information/ Work Environment :
In this role, the working environment is onsite and does incorporate field-level operations. You can expect to have office duties where you will regularly require sitting or standing, walking, reaching, bending, and moving about the facility. Field-level operations will include observing and auditing and may be exposed to extreme cold or hot conditions which may require walkthroughs through construction sites (forests, hills, ditches, and rough, rocky terrain}. Must wear the required PPE while in the field, shops, yards, distribution center, and manufacturing area. In addition, this role may travel to neighboring branches to help support EHS activities and this role will be Mon - Friday 8-5 pm but at times may require Sat/Sun EHS support.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Drive organizational and process rigor around SIOP and inventory optimization
Develop inventory optimization strategy, including inventory segmentation and intelligent lifecycle data analytics and execution
Lead and/or sponsor ad hoc projects that are analyzing and developing insights and recommendations that will drive inventory optimization across the end-to-end supply chain
Continuously improve and standardize SIOP and inventory optimization policies, processes, and tools, including automated and integrated solutions specifically tailored to Xylem's product mix
Monitor and analyze delivery reliability and forecast accuracy and recommend corrective actions when required
Generate business insights and data visualizations to quantify optimization opportunities and to measure effectivity of improvement implementations
Intermediary between IT and Operations to solve Operational issues, leveraging existing tools within Xylem and/or weighing the cost and benefits of new tools
Partner with plant leadership to coach, train and help implement tools, corrective actions, and/or process changes
Evangelize and be the SME for latest tools and technology that can be implemented to achieve supply chain optimization goals
Provide support and knowledge for supply chain staff development through education, training, coaching and mentoring
Work effectively across plants and functions to deliver SIOP objectives
QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years' experience in material control systems and processes
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferably Business, Supply Chain or Engineering)
Demonstrated experience in planning as well as executing successful supply chain transformation.
Strong background in Supply Chain management best practices, including material planning, production control, logistics, and inventory management
Strong influence and change management skills, especially in a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders (see key relationships)
Ability to present information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
Ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with excellent Excel skills
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams with proven abilities to influence others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years Lean Material and Information Flow experience in a discrete manufacturing environment that follows lean manufacturing principles and methods (e.g., Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Lean Enterprise Institute /Harris Lean Systems Making Material Flow)

Secure all items loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel in accordance with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA), Federal Department of Transportation and local Department of Transportation guidelines.
Assist in securing load utilizing straps and chains.
Ensure yard and loading areas are clear of debris and trash; accessories and equipment are organized and easy to access.
Follow all safety processes and procedures and maintain a 'Safety First' approach when completing daily work tasks. Complete a Job Safety Assessment before beginning any job on a customer site. Ensure compliance with all Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
Installation & Operation
Travel locally to mobilize/demobilize small pump systems on customer job sites. Ensures pipeline, pump equipment and accessories are installed according to specification.
Operate fusion machine to build HDPE (high-density polyethylene) pipelines on customer site to connect the pumping system. Ensure pumping system and pipeline meet operational requirements. Understand and react to how weather conditions effect HDPE fusion.
Work independently or as part of a crew to install and dismantle pumping systems and pipelines on customer job sites.
Review preliminary contracts to ensure all materials needed are identified and available. Update the sales staff should any materials change or the initial job set up changes.
Initiate site introductions with customer and Outside Sales personnel. Establish customer expectations and clarify customer support.
Establish communication with equipment operators.
Prepare electronic work orders.
Understand priming systems, options, remote systems and A-91 panels
Knowledge of wellpoint dewatering installation preferred
Apply proper measurements (center-to-center or face-to-face) to HDPE pipe. Calculate angles to ensure proper installation.
Perform vacuum checks on installed pumping systems.
Perform proper sequencing to break down pump systems and pipelines to avoid spills and/or contamination to surrounding work area. Properly flush systems.
Safely utilize chain saws and other hand tools to properly cut and break down pipelines. Understand how and where to cut pipe to avoid spills, damage and excessive scrapping.
Thoroughly inspect and evaluate condition of pipe, hose and fittings upon dismantling. Notify supervisor or site supervisor if any equipment is damaged.
Prepare Bill of Ladings (BOLs) to load out equipment from job site. Coordinate with Xylem Service Center Manager to arrange proper timing of truck arrivals to ensure material handling equipment and/or personnel are available.
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
QUALIFICATIONS :
High school or general equivalency degree
One to two years' experience in the construction industry preferred
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.)
Prior experience operating heavy industrial equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, air tuggers, etc.
Prior experience fusing HDPE pipe ranging from 2 inch to 48 inch
Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours in order to respond to customer emergencies
Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effective with co-workers, supervisors/managers and customers both verbally and in writing
Ability to read blue prints or other layout and design documents

DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is a shop/manufacturing environment subject to all weather conditions, shop noise, and fumes within OSHA standards and machinery with moving parts. The physical demands may include but not limited to bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. This role requires extended hours as needed (weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations) and travel to fulfill duties listed above.

THE ROLE : The Director of Sales, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), will be responsible for leading the sales, development and strategy of company products, programs and services to OEMs in the US and Canada. In this role, the incumbent will also work on account segmentation, prioritization, planning and execution by developing programs and services to achieve targeted levels for sales volume, margin and income across the US and Canada. Responsible for development and implementation of sales strategies, objectives, policies, capabilities, and programs for OEMs to maximize growth and meet or exceed business targets (orders, sales, margin and income).
Drive orders growth within the Americas region, influence a team of regional sales managers, application engineering, product management and rep agents.
Identify NEW business development opportunities; ensuring we are capturing above-market, profitable growth with a driven focus on penetration programs.
Oversee the integration of synergy products for all Americas products.
Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to evaluate sales distribution to assure that adequate representation and sales performance to OEM customers are at desired levels. Assess all contracted Representatives sales coverage, knowledge of market, competitive rep environment, training needs, companion product offering, succession planning and overall performance. Plan and implement changes of representation if necessary. Recommend selection of OEM customers.
Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for the promotion of our products portfolio in the assigned region, specifically for the Top 3 vertical markets: Commercial Buildings / Industrial / Water Utility. Work closely with OEM inside sales and application engineering to identify Product enhancement and / or Product Development opportunities.
Lead the development of both short- and long-range financial plans, budgets, and other related key business performance metrics based on segment goals and growth objectives.
Forecast orders performance for the month, quarter and year based on opportunity funnel, run rates, and team feedback.
Work closely with the Marketing team to identify new business development opportunities, coordinate the introduction of all new products and the implementation of cross-selling initiatives.
Work with Product Management, Engineering, and IT to maintain and further develop product selection and product quotation software to support the needs of the OEM markets.
In conjunction with our sales operations team, develop and maintain pricing policies and strategies to support business goals, and coordinate training programs to support the needs of the OEM customers and markets.
Mentor and train team members to develop a highly effective team passionate about application development, value-selling, prospecting, and opportunity closing with profitable outcomes.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field
7 to 10 years of related technical sales experience in a Business-to-Business environment and in the industrial manufacturing/market.
Comprehensive computer skills, interpersonal, broad knowledge of Commercial Building Services, Industry and Water Utility markets including codes and standards.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Solid presentation skills, technical capabilities
Previous Leadership and Managerial experience of direct sales and distribution
Superior customer service skills
Thorough knowledge of consultative/value-based selling.
Financial Management
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
This position is a remote role.
DAY IN THE LIFE :
In this role, the working environment is mainly performed in an office setting with travel to customer sites, manufacturing sites, meetings and etc. and the physical demands may include but not limited to regularly sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, etc. In addition, in this role the Individual should be willing to travel across the US and Canada on a regular basis. Travel would also include being available for various industry / trade shows, Sales Meetings and visiting key Xylem facilities on a quarterly basis. Travel requirements range between 50% - 75%.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $175,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
