The Training Manager will be responsible for the formation and sustainability of Electrical Services training program. Being present onsite is a must; some virtual/remote work may be possible. This role will be responsible for our people training, qualification, & overall development. This role is moreover responsible for site internal/external communications & key process strategies. This role will report directly to the Head of the Electrical Operations Center and work regularly with SIA and other leadership teams.

The Training Manager will drive collaboration across teams as it relates to near-term strategic priorities and the long-term vision of opportunistic work. This role will be responsible to manage the site's Training & Qualification department. Lastly, this role is responsible to produce accurate and thoughtful assessments, and to advance impactful initiatives, while balancing a variety of priorities and goals. These training programs focus on the implementation and startup of low / medium power distribution systems at our commercial and data center customers.

As a Training Manager, you will

  • Develop & own the on-site Training/University department for our field service as well as all employees to ensure all site training, qualification, & development activities are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision.

  • Identify career and training opportunities; coordinates and delivers training programs.

  • Build and collaborate with all levels of managers to influence peers and upper leadership to shape outcomes.

  • You can bridge the gap between concepts and real-world results, seeing initiatives through from start to finish.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in a strategic leadership role in Education or Engineering.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including sophisticated Excel and PowerPoint skills with a track record of building sophisticated data models and compelling presentations.

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify and plan for obstacles or barriers to learning and performance support solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with all levels in the organization.

  • Demonstrated strong administrative, interpersonal, and project management skills with the ability to lead projects simultaneously and deliver within scope, on time and budget.

  • Demonstrated sbility to multitask and handle a high volume of work accurately.

  • Demonstrated high Level of integrity and excellent customer service skills

  • Travel: 35%

Siemens requires a Training Team Leader/Expert who will be support the Training Manager in the development, planning, coordination, and delivery of all training for operations and maintenance staff and managing all training and assessment records and certification. This role will report directly to the Training Manager in the Electrical Operations Center and work regularly with SIA and other team members.

As a Training Team Leader, you will

  • Assist the Training Manager in maintaining and updating the ES Training Management Plan & Skills Management Plan.

  • Carry out Training Needs Identification and Analysis by working with Operations Managers to identify the specific training needs of ES staff to complete activities to the required standard.

  • Assist the Training Manger in maintaining the Training Matrix, ensuring that all required training, including training from 3rd party suppliers as identified by Operations Managers, is included in the Matrix.

  • Develop internal operations and maintenance training courses (including refresher training) for safety critical roles based on suppliers' manuals, industry standards, regulatory requirements and the standards laid out in the Training Management Plan.

  • Deliver ES training courses, including refresher training.

  • Invigilate training assessments, ensuring the integrity of the assessment process is maintained.

  • Assist the Training Manager to evaluate training at training facility, Immediate and Intermediate levels to establish the extent to which training meets business needs and improves performance and make recommendations for improvement based on evaluation results.

  • Assist the Training Manager to establish annual refresher training requirements for ES staff.

  • Support the Training Manager during audits and investigations.

  • Assist the Training Manager to ensure that training materials are updated to reflect changes to plans, procedures, guidelines, forms etc.

  • Manage and maintain training documentation, records and certificates and ensure that they are available for audit and when requested or as a result of an investigation.

  • Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements

  • Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs

  • Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material

Project Management:

  • Lead Procurement projects to support factory expansions as well as core/non-core Procurement projects.

  • Work with cross functional team in determining the inside/outside balance of manufacturing locations.

  • Lead and develop project timelines related to core/non-core projects.

  • Derive Procurement strategy for assigned projects in accordance with Business- and BU-wide Procurement strategies and ensure implementation (pooling or utilization of master contracts). Introduce negotiation recommendations together with Commodity Management to prepare for negotiations with suppliers (back-to-back where appropriate) and to initiate appropriate measures.

  • Analyze scope of supply, contractual obligations and exactly understand customer's functional needs.

  • Identify Procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, together with Commodity Management, to avoid potential damage / exploit potential. Provide categorization of prevailing risks at PM040.

Commodity Strategy:

  • Siemens Spend Data, Supply Market Intelligence, Supplier Analysis

  • Develop and implement SMS with cross functional input to cover Commodity.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Manage relationship with all assigned suppliers. Relationship includes negotiating pricing, monitoring performance to agreed terms and conditions, and new vendor on boarding when necessary. Collaborate with key suppliers to expand knowledge of category and identify opportunities for improvements resulting in a joint benefit to the company and supplier.

  • Leverage supplier expertise and/or technology to harness improvements in reducing total costs. Collaborate with global commodity management and/or Product Management while optimizing company-wide buying power by reviewing the financial, quality, pricing, service, and availability level of suppliers.

Risk Management:

  • Develop supplier relationships resulting in optimized supply chain efficiencies and security of supply. Evaluate supplier's capabilities and capacities while implementing plans to ensure adequate supply of goods and services.

  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers that mitigate or spread the overall risk.

Business Support:

  • Assist and escalation in negotiations for Logistics and Shipping Agreement, including consigned inventory, vendor managed inventory.

  • Responsible for Overall Supplier Management and supplier relationship management.

  • Participate in Supplier Qualification, annual supplier evaluation, & supplier development

Reporting:

  • Ensure PVO & ESN code transparency.

  • Procurement Reporting of PVO, PPC, CNI, PuMA and other relevant KPI's

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain required.

  • 5 plus years strong experience working in some aspect of Supplier Management, Product Management, Sales, or Product Development preferably relative to a Project/factory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A supply chain/business/engineering degree is not mandatory, but advantageous.

  • International business experience is also an advantage.

  • 6pm to 6am

What will be the essential functions of this role? In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machine

  • Brake press setup to form steel, aluminum, and copper per blueprint specs

  • Work in a team.

  • Work directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor.

  • Read blue prints and spot welds steel & galvanized parts

  • Work with ISO/work standards.

  • Complete confirmation documentation via SAP data management system or DMM.

  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure functioning and safe working conditions and wears appropriate PPE.

  • Access and utilize various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly for completion of confirmations (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)

What are the required knowledge, skills & experience?

Basic Qualifications

  • Must complete and pass Essential Functional Testing

  • Prior experience/knowledge in CNC Punches and Brake Press

  • Experience with changing turret dies per set up sheet to complete specific orders

  • Must be able to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, digital literacy, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.

  • Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.

  • Work standing for the duration of a shift.

  • Stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb

  • Must be able to reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide material.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Department of the La Mirada Distribution Center in La Mirada, CA. This position supervises 10-15 hourly union employees across the assigned shift. The Logistics Supervisor's primary responsibility is to manage the assigned shift efficiently and effectively to yield daily output targets with all safety and quality performance standards met. In addition, this role is the first line of engagement for ER concerns from the logistics team and is responsible for overseeing the development of personnel entrusted to their leadership.

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor for our Alternate Shift (10:00am - 6:30pm). This position will be based at our La Mirada Distribution Center.

Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluate bottlenecks that exist in the operation daily and determine the labor needs to sustain positive performance across assigned shift.

  • Ensure all Time and Attendance records are maintained daily/weekly (including weekly attendance summaries for all personnel).

  • Provide weekly/daily/monthly feedback to all employees regarding Production and Quality progression.

  • Enforce all Job rules regarding code of conduct and the general guidelines of the facility (including progressive discipline).

  • Create a positive working environment that will allow employees to be motivated and productive in the facility.

  • Provide Pre-Shift and End of Shift numbers regarding shift performance vs the daily plan.

  • Collaborate with team members to standardize all operational processes across each shift in order to enforce process discipline (participation in 5S Audits and providing feedback regarding audit scores).

  • Ensure 75% of time is spent on the floor providing support to all personnel and managing process flow within department (utilizing daily status reports to determine performance gaps).

  • Provide formal handoff to oncoming shift including notes regarding WIP, 5S housekeeping, and Inventory reconciliation issues.

  • Collaborate with team to improve operational processes through Continuous improvement activities.

  • Work to mitigate all conflict within the team prior to exploring Chain of Command. Involve department manager after conflict has been resolved.

  • Enforce all work rules in the facility timely and fairly as infractions occur.

  • Provide documented feedback to personnel bi-annually.

  • Drives ownership culture among workforce and fosters a positive, energetic, and collaborative environment in which teamwork and diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.

  • Enforces health, environmental and safety standards, work practices, and housekeeping.

  • Manage other duties as assigned by management

Siemens Digital Industries is seeking a motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth in the Chemical, Glass and Energy (CGE) sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development and/or sales, with a deep understanding of the CGE industry and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Target markets for named accounts. As part of the Siemens Vertical Market CGE Organization, the Enterprise Account Executive will play a significant role in business generation for the entire Siemens Digital Industries Portfolio relevant to the named target markets. They will work closely with Siemens Sales and customers in the target markets on technical , contractual, and commercial opportunities. This role will also have named account responsibility with associated sales quota. This role reports to the US Head Vertical Market CGE.

We are looking for a Vertical Market Sales Enterprise Account Executive. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the continental United States.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Drive specification influence and make recommendations on system design and applications for the full breath of the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio.

  • Ability to identify all key stakeholders in named accounts to educate them on the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio and technology trends using domain expertise on our focused target markets Chemical, Glass & Energy (CGE) Energy sector to include Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, Sustainable Fuel, SAF, and Upstream Battery industries.

  • Develop customer relationships, strategic account plans and be responsible for meeting sales revenue for your assigned accounts.

  • Build, maintain, and drive strong, long-lasting C-level client relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple technical experts across all Siemens divisions to provide technical support to named accounts. Collaborate with other Siemens DI and SI field resources to leverage the power of the entire Siemens portfolio.

  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

  • Coordinate business opportunities / projects across all internal sales channels and teams (Vertical Sales, SW Sales, Territory Sales, OEM Sales, Procurement, Engineering) to ensure the successful execution of projects.

  • Engage in industry associations and working groups to develop domain expertise and represent Siemens as a thought leader in the industry.

  • Lead demand generation activities.

  • Conduct thorough account research to identify new business opportunities and market trends in the CGE sector.

  • Collect market feedback and relevant requirements from the US market and provide them to Vertical Sales Leadership.

  • Serve as the national account manager for named accounts.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and transactions in the CRM system (SieSales), covering direct and indirect business for the target industries.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • 8+ years of experience in a consulting, business development, or account management role.

  • Successful track record in Business Development and/or Account Management or equivalent role representing a similar breadth of industrial portfolio.

  • Strong understanding of the CGE industry, including market dynamics, key players, and regulatory environment.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills to engage with senior leaders.

  • Proven success in operating with multiple channels to market, including direct sales, distributors, and system integrators.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrixed resources to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to take measured risks and act with a sense of urgency without sacrificing excellence.

  • Ability to work in both domestic and international (virtual) teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in a consulting, engineering, BD, or account management environment. Previous working knowledge in the Chemical, Glass & Energy (CGE) Energy sector to include Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, Sustainable Fuel, SAF, and Upstream Battery industries, preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of industry-related processes, applications, business drivers, trends, and issues, with a focus on key accounts and the End-User ECO-system community serving the focus industries.

  • Experience in business development, sales, or engineering of Discrete and Process Automation or Digital Transformation solutions in our focus industries.

  • Fundamental understanding of the Siemens Digital Industry product, solutions, and service portfolio is preferred.

  • Strong and proven ability to develop client relationships and opportunity pursuit strategies of complex opportunities across multiple sales organizations and companies (end users, engineering firms, systems integrators, etc.).

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to work on our next-generation Siemens Charger locomotives and Siemens Venture single-level coaches. The state-of-the-art locomotives are diesel-electric with Tier 4 4,400 hp diesel engines. Our vehicles are connecting cities all over the United States and we are working together with the customer on site to achieve the main goals for the warranty period. This job will train you on how to fix, repair, and perform field modifications to achieve high customer happiness and improve reliability. You will be required to begin work in Pueblo, Colorado for 3-6 months and visit Sacramento during this time frame for training. This position will reside full-time in Croton-On-Hudson, NY.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and/or coaches.

  • Solving and analysis of failures on locomotives or coaches.

  • Perform with the use of mechanical drawings, schematics, and location circuit plans, electrical and mechanical repairs of various components.

  • Use laptops with subsystem software to fix various systems onboard the locomotives.

  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions in locomotive or coach control circuits and components, assess the nature of problems, and identify corrective action needed.

  • Read, interpret, and understand written or electronic information to identify the Root cause of failures and compile reports for your site lead and warranty manager.

  • Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.

  • Implementation of Field Modifications (FMIs) to improve the quality of our product.

  • Document failures, part exchanges, implementation of FMIs, and your performed work in our Commissioning and Warranty database.

  • Communicate in a team, to the site lead and colleagues, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, improvements, and other work-related information.

What you'll be doing

What you need

  • 8+ years of product marketing or related experience

The Buildings Sustainability portfolio team is responsible for energy efficiency products and services that are sold and executed by the Smart Infrastructure Buildings business. This segment of our business primarily services customers with fleets of buildings, which is defined as large portfolios of similar buildings. This is typical of small and medium enterprise (SME) business, retail business, and class B and C commercial real estate. This set of offerings includes:

  • Retail Commercial Solutions (RCS), an enterprise deployable controls offering including on-site sensors and controllers as well as a cloud-based software platform that delivers reduced energy consumption and HVAC maintenance, resulting in cost savings and lower carbon footprint

  • Strategic Sustainability Consulting and Energy Management (SEM), which provides a consultative approach to align proven, value-driven services to corporate goals and sustainability objectives. This holistic view of utility management, energy purchasing, energy efficiency, and sustainability provides decision makers actionable insights that enable companies to realize savings, reduce market risks, and ensure compliance with internal and external sustainability and reporting requirements

  • Utility Bill Management (UBM), a bill management, verification, and payment service leveraged as an enablement service for energy supply, sustainability consulting and reporting

  • Related services and tooling infrastructure

As a Building Fleet Offerings Portfolio Manager, you will:

  • Work with engineering and service teams to develop a product roadmap for the RCS, SEM, and UBM portfolio, including data subscriptions, market intelligence, hardware/firmware and software including leveraging AI technology to improve business productivity

  • Develop business plans, technology requirements, and implementation strategy to deploy relevant portfolio elements in non-US lead country businesses

  • Follow market trends and developments to support enablement and innovations in RCS, SEM, and UBM offerings.

  • Consult with RCS, SEM, and UBM leadership to understand and support achievement of key business and operational objectives.

  • Develop in-depth understanding of RCS, SEM, and UBM systems to identify opportunities to integrate to Building X as the client-facing platform to support overall alignment to Siemens go-to-market strategy.

  • Manage product rollouts by monitoring business performance, working with key sales and operations stakeholders, and adjusting deployment plans

  • Participate in competitive analysis of product portfolio against other players in the market

  • Develop product support plan in coordination with field teams and SI Buildings Product and Software teams

  • Evaluate needs for engineering and productivity tools

  • Create onboarding and training path for installation partners

  • Evaluate and create (as needed) standards for project installation and servicing for use by installation partners

  • Support development of sales enablement packages to support RCS, SEM and UBM offerings being sold by the digital business and the field.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior inventory clerk or similar role experience preferably in a large-scale manufacturing or distribution environment.
