The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled Software Developer for our Summer 2025 Makalu internship program. Responsibilities:
On Team Makalu, typical responsibilities include proactively designing the architecture for new components, while also suggesting ways to improve the application and overall UI/UX. Our team works closely together with on-site and remote engineers developing front-end applications and back-end microservices, all dedicated to creating the best products and user experience possible.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Day-to-day expectations include solving challenging, but rewarding technical problems, meeting program objectives within the agile development cycle, suggesting ways to improve UX/UI and the software baseline, and introducing new ways to meet mission needs.

Qualifications:
Required:
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable TS/SCI with Poly.
Must currently be enrolled in a full-time Undergraduate, or Graduate Student. If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, not required.
Entry Level experience and knowledge of Coding.
Experience using REST-based web services.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Familiarity with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS, CSS pre-processors (e.g. SASS, Less, Stylus), or JavaScript build tools (e.g. Browserify, WebPack, Closure).
Familiarity with Java Spring Boot
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Linux environment and Linux shell scripting.
Desired:
An eagerness to learn a modern infrastructure and be a part of a team supporting mission critical systems.
Familiarity with real-time communication mechanisms such as WebSockets.
Familiarity with Node, Cesium, and/or Open Layers.

Candidate will be responsible for providing software development and system engineering support to the Enterprise Scenario Development System (ESDS). Specifically, the candidate will design, code, test, and evaluate ESDS for our Navy customer.
Candidate will gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and review Computer Program Change Requests (CPCR), Requirements Documents, and Design Documents.
Candidate will create requirement design documents presented to stakeholders to explore designs decisions and recommendations for enhancements to ESDS.
Candidate will develop and maintain unit tests along with related software documentation.
Candidate will implement well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Candidate will perform code reviews and collaborate with team members to implement solutions to CPCRs.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work as a member of CACI's Value Performance Management Center. Working as the Integrated Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a Microsoft Project (MSP) resource-loaded schedule that integrates with our EIA-748 compliant Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Create Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) based on Contract Work Breakdown Structure.
Advise Project Control and Engineering Team in detailed project planning and scope development for an engineering and Agile software development program.
Develop achievable master schedule critical path for project, program, and contractual milestones. Perform Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) as needed to show probability of schedule achievability.
Prepare project and program status reports based on current and forecast schedules; implement and maintain schedule change control.
Ensure contract WBS is properly updated and current.
Familiarity with methods for integrating subcontractors into the IMS.
Conduct and facilitate weekly IMS reviews with program team.
Process monthly project accounting and schedule performance data for EVMS and/or cost management reporting.
