Conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals and review appropriate records to obtain facts to resolve all material issues in a case or to establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject under investigation. You'll Bring These Qualifications
The candidate with recent experience as a background investigator on DCSA/OPM is considered experienced or credentialed.
DCSA credential or the ability to obtain based on National Training Standard certification and experience conducting background investigations
Proven quality, timeliness, and production metrics
A Bachelor's Degree or four years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem-solving, planning and organizing work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing.
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance based on a T5 Investigation
Ability to maintain a favorable determination based on T5 Investigation
A sense of mission in support of national security initiatives
An impeccable work ethic, integrity, and can-do attitude
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as driving is essential to this position. May use public transportation if available, practical, and approved by management. Must be willing to travel locally daily, depending on assignment location extensively.
A home office equipped with high-speed Internet (a $50 monthly Internet stipend is provided)
Ability to walk, type, sit, or stand for long periods
Excellent time management skills

The functional capabilities are to provide the information technology (IT) infrastructure services required to deliver timely, relevant, and accurate support of national security. TCS will provide innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment, and disposal of transport and cybersecurity IT services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide to support the NGA mission.
In this role, we're seeking a CSOS Analyst - Tier III located in Springfield, VA .
What You'll Get to Do:
Coordinate and implement tasks, performing analysis, and building/documenting response activities required during cyber security incident response, including but not limited to actions such as implementing containment measures, IP blocks, domain blocks, and disabling user accounts on the direction of the Government.
Coordinates with Security and Installations Directorate (SI) Office of Counterintelligence (SIC), Insider Threat Office (SIII), in addition to other law enforcement and counterintelligence personnel as required to perform advanced investigation and triage of incidents
Collaborates with appropriate authorities in the production of security incident reports
Categorizes incidents and events
Coordinates with other contracts, organizations, activities, and other services as appropriate to ensure incidents are properly reported, contained, and eradicated
Coordinates with other contracts, organizations, activities, and other services as appropriate to de-conflict blue/red team activity with open incidents/events
Coordinates with other contracts, organizations, activities, and services to ensure NGA recovers from an incident/event
Builds timelines, documents, briefings, and other products as required to inform stakeholders of incident response actions, analysis, and the impact of both adversary activity and blue force response actions.
Documents actions taken and analysis in the authorized ticketing system to a level of detail where the actions taken and analysis are capable of being systematically reconstructed

Develops and when approved by the Government generates and updates reports in the Joint Incident Management System (JIMS), Incident Case Management System (ICMS), and/or other authorized reporting systems as directed

Serve as C-IRT members as required and serve under the direct control of, and take direction from, the Government C-IRT Commander
Develop and coordinate courses of action with various Government and contract stakeholders, and when properly authorized by the Government, execute Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures on behalf of the NGA on NGA networks and systems
Performs digital media analysis and malware reverse engineering on host, server, and network data as required to analyze and respond to an incident, including but not limited to volatile and non-volatile memory and/or system artifact collection and analysis.
When properly authorized by the Government, execute custom scripts, tools, and capabilities to collect and analyze data, and respond to incidents/events
Develops, documents, and provides the Government incident investigation reports which include sufficient information to document the entire lifecycle of the incident and the response, including but not limited to adversary and friendly forces activity, host and network analysis, timelines, and recommendations for corrective actions, recommendations for new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) and other recommendations as appropriate, within 30 days of C-IRT stand-down.
Conduct Quality Control reviews of a percentage of closed CSOC Tier 2 tickets each week to ensure proper analysis, categorization, documentation, and notification

What You'll Get to Do
Provide all preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure service availability. This includes all actions required to return the service to full operational capability such as vendor RMA processes, removal and proper disposal of broken equipment/software, installation and testing of new equipment/software, and configuration of new equipment/software
Perform day-to-day maintenance, and specific scheduled maintenance activities that result from manufacturers' recommended service intervals, alerts, bulletins, available patches, and updates according to agency-approved change management processes. This includes maintaining updated documentation, change logs, and service bulletin libraries for all supported equipment and software in the CSOC knowledge management platform
Execute emergency maintenance actions with sufficient urgency to preclude unacceptable outage durations, approved by the Government before execution, and coordinated through and approved by CSOC and ESC government management
Perform all development, engineering, testing, integration, and implementation actions necessary for major vendor revisions
Perform continuous engineering assessments to improve the performance, effectiveness, coverage, and maturity of this service. These assessments are limited to improvements that can be achieved without the purchase of additional hardware or software
Perform all development, design, engineering, testing, integration, and implementation actions necessary to perform a full technology refresh every four years or upon Asset contract recompete, whichever comes first (Note: The assets supporting this service are acquired through a DoD contract). This includes the removal and disposal of the legacy capability

Operate all assets assigned to this service within the Government Furnished Information - Software Tools list in accordance with vendor instructions, industry best practices, government directives, policies, procedures, etc.
Ensure all required data is routed to the DoD CMRS database in the appropriate format, and validate the accuracy of data contained within CMRS weekly
Configure all assets assigned to this service within the Government Furnished Information - Software Tools list by all customer laws, directives, orders, policies, guidance, procedures, etc.
Ensure this service provides 100% coverage of all applicable customer enclaves, domains, information flows, and devices. Provide weekly reports to CSOC government leadership on any people, processes, or technology challenges preventing the achievement of 100% coverage

Track vendor end-of-life and end-of-support status for assets in CDRL D0009 Asset Inventory Perform all development, design, engineering, testing, integration, and implementation actions needed for the total integration and interoperability between all applicable assets in the Government Furnished Information - Software Tools list.
Utilize agency-approved ticketing systems to document, track, assign, update, and coordinate all engineering, integration, configuration, and maintenance actions

What You'll Get to Do:
Coordinate and implement tasks, performing analysis, and building/documenting response activities required during cyber security incident response, including but not limited to actions such as implementing containment measures, IP blocks, domain blocks, and disabling user accounts on the direction of the Government.

Coordinates with other contracts, organizations, activities, and services to ensure NGA recovers from an incident/event;
Builds timelines, documents, briefings, and other products as required to inform stakeholders of incident response actions, analysis, and the impact of both adversary activity and blue force response actions.
Documents actions taken and analysis in the authorized ticketing system to a level of detail where the actions taken and analysis are capable of being systematically reconstructed.
Develops and when approved by the Government generates and updates reports in the Joint Incident Management System (JIMS), Incident Case Management System (ICMS), and/or other authorized reporting systems as directed;
Develops, maintains, sustains, and when properly authorized by the Government executes custom scripts, tools, and capabilities to collect and analyze data, and to respond to incidents/events;
Performs digital media analysis on host, server, and network data as required to analyze and respond to an incident, including but not limited to volatile and non-volatile memory and/or system artifact collection and analysis;
Develops and identifies indicators of compromise to send to Cybersecurity stakeholders and other Contract Services;
Provides adversary attribution;

Performs malware analysis and signature development;
Provides input to and coordinates with all applicable stakeholders to develop and deliver the daily CSOC Significant Activity Report, the daily CSOC Operations Update, and the Weekly CSOC Status Report;
Serve as C-IRT members as required and serve under the direct control of, and take direction from, the Government C-IRT Commander;
Develop and coordinate courses of action with various Government and contract stakeholders, and when properly authorized by the Government, execute Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures on behalf of the NGA on NGA networks and systems;
Performs digital media analysis and malware reverse engineering on host, server, and network data as required to analyze and respond to an incident, including but not limited to volatile and non-volatile memory and/or system artifact collection and analysis.
When properly authorized by the Government, execute custom scripts, tools, and capabilities to collect and analyze data, and respond to incidents/events;

What You'll Get to Do:
Coordinate and implement tasks, performing analysis, and building/documenting response activities required during cyber security incident response, including but not limited to actions such as implementing containment measures, IP blocks, domain blocks, and disabling user accounts on the direction of the Government.
