Job Summary

Provides IT support of corporate Firewall infrastructure that consists of over 660 physical and virtual firewalls. Applies solutions to business and technical issues through customer interactions in the design, debugging, testing, and integration/implementation of firewalls including firewall design and network troubleshooting.

What You Will Do:

This position reports to an Information Technology Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the quality and reliability of the firewall infrastructure.

• Performing firewall rule implementation and quality reviews.

• Implementing new firewalls for startup sites.

• Implementing core firewall management and logging equipment.

• Troubleshooting routing and connectivity issues.

• Participating in the On-Call rotation.

• Completing EOL firewall replacements and upgrades to the firewall environment.

• Working on complex infrastructure technology components.

• Executing change management process practices.

• Assisting customers and co-workers with documentation, training and usability efforts.

What You Have:

• Relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience: Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree with an emphasis on computer networking.

• Strong work experience in Information Technology or preferably a Network or Firewall related area of a business.

• Knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar's organization with strong business acumen and professionalism.

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage one's time as well as well as being a collaborative team member.

Supplier Development Engineer

What you will do::

• Serve as the trusted advisor for assigned supply base

• Assess potential suppliers via on-site Quality Audits process control implementation and effectiveness. Validate process capability

• Drive implementation of Lean, BIQ, and APQP

• Continuously review production readiness through rigorous review of Supplier APQP elements

• Collaborate with suppliers to assure proper process control standards are in place and continuously monitor key manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities

This role is primarily responsible for managing a talented team, execute Indirect Procurement (IP) Digital excellence roadmap, provide timely support to IP Process owners and stakeholders across the enterprise with application (Coupa, Guided Buy) related scenarios, deliver CPI's and support deployment initiatives.

• Ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle (typically, 8+ years of professional IT experience and 3+ years as a Project Management or related role using Agile methodology)

• Proven experience managing a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects

• Help customers with configuration, deployment, testing, communication, catalog support, master data collection, training, troubleshooting and hypercare-related activities

• Experience managing projects using Agile software tools such as DevOps/VSTS.

• Knowledge of software change request management process along with an ability to manage software product change requests with vendors

Job Summary:

As a Supplier Development Engineer supporting Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division located in Mossville, IL , you will be responsible to assess the supplier quality and ensures that all the products are free from defects and are in compliance with manufacturing specifications and legal standards.

• Generating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Guiding suppliers to reduce these defect rates.

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

• Set up and operate a CNC horizontal lathe to produce high quality production parts in a safe and efficient manner.

• Use of related components and equipment including: metal cutting tools and inserts, work holding and clamping equipment, various hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Jib and overhead cranes used for material handling.

Description:

• Identify work piece and assist in loading on machine.

• Set up and align part using work holding equipment such as vices, jaws, chucks, clamps, etc.

• Assemble proper cutting tools for operation using tool holders, turning tools, and indexable cutting inserts.

• Load CNC program and perform a trial run to check program accuracy when needed.

• Perform very close tolerance machining operations such as turning, grooving, threading on large steel castings and forgings.

• Use process instructions and G & M code program to operate CNC lathe.

• Adjust or select machine parameters such as feed rate, speed, and offset values where required.

• Perform in process inspection of machined parts as required to maintain quality requirements.

• Make appropriate program changes and edits where required. May on occasion need to operate machine manually, without program.

• Assist in unloading and remove processed parts from machine.

• Clean up work piece removing burrs, chips, coolant, etc.

• Keep facilities, material, and work area clean and orderly,

• Conform to safety and inspection requirements and perform all the above operations in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• One to three years of actual, hands on, CNC lathe turning experience; demonstrate good skill and ability on the machines operated.

• Read and interpret part drawings and blueprints.

• Ability to use quality inspection gaging, indicating, and measuring techniques including verniers, calipers, and micrometers.

• Know basic machine shop math, including high school trigonometry.

• Know basic machine shop practices.

• Serve as the trusted advisor for assigned supply base

Caterpillar's Large Track-type Tractor (LTTT) team is currently seeking a Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) Black Belt to lead projects that improve the quality, reliability and durability of the Large Track-type Tractor product line.

As a CPI Black Belt, this position plays a critical role in our quest to deliver defect-free products to our customers and will primarily focus on leading projects to achieve this goal. The role will focus on working across the organization to deliver thorough root cause corrective action (RCCA) and drive to address the -True Root Cause- of issues related to our products.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Leading CPI projects to address issues and defects related to design, manufacturing and supplier quality

• Supporting the team in data analysis to identify and prioritize key issues to ensure we minimize customer downtime

• Close collaboration with the extended team to support our End-to-End BIQ journey, including a focus on analysis of all field defects and implementing robust stop capability to protect our customers

• Create service literature (TIB's, service magazines, special instructions and/or service letters) to communicate improvements to the field

• Provide coaching to the extended organization on effective RCCA and identification of -True Root Cause- to address the broken process that allowed the defect to be created

Success in this role will be measured in two key areas:

• CPI Project closure and -True Root Cause- resolution

• Defect per Unit (DPU) metrics for the products relative to % Defect Free targets

Basic Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in product development, design engineering, product service engineering, or as a field Technical Representative. Experience in more than one product development area or product group is desirable.

• Experience program management or project management. Candidates are expected to understand and be able to apply the tools and methods for requirements development, functional specification development, boundary diagrams, interface matrices, and FMEAs.

• Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation) for a global and diverse audience

• Strong analytical skills and capabilities. Ability to draw insights from data to make quick, well informed decisions.

This job opening is for a component development engineering project lead within the Caterpillar ICS Electrical Components division. The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for worldwide design control of sensing components. The incumbent will work on critical new technology development for the next-generation sensing components to support Caterpillar machine and engines application needs. This leader will also conduct sensor component NPI/NTI development relevant both to Caterpillar machine or engine application requirements. These components are primarily purchased finished and utilize a wide range of product & process technologies. If you are an action-oriented, self-starter, our Construction Industries Services Division (CISD) is looking for you to join our team as a Lifecycle Global Account Manager . In this role you will support Construction Industries Global Accounts by driving improved customer loyalty for both parts growth and machine sales growth. You will develop a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model that will be leveraged to support Customer Value Agreement (CVA) growth, Ground Engaging Tool (GET) Cost Per Hour (CPH), rebuild analysis as a comparison to percentage of new models and support Global Construction & Infrastructure Division (GCI) on new machine tenders. In addition, the position will be responsible to develop a strategy that is tied to discount programs to support the aftermarket for rebuilds, GET, CVAs. This is a great opportunity for you to highlight your ability to influence while building and enhancing your network as you will collaborate with both the GCI and CISD Global Account Managers and leverage the internal business partners of CISD to develop best practices.

What You Will Do:

• Negotiate complex, single, and multi-year signed agreements by Caterpillar and customer executives when TCO is included.

• Develop aftermarket services offerings and create / modify merchandising programs to support the desired TCO.

• Support Total Maintenance and Repair, CVA contract quoting.

• Familiarize yourself with the customers TCO purchasing decisions that impact both rebuilds and new machine purchases.

• Identify and resolve unmet customer needs focused on lowest TCO analysis.

• Develop and support the process to calculate, define and explain carbon impact on rebuild vs new and Cat Reman utilization.

• Ensure commitments are executed per the contract, manages aftermarket offerings, and drives consistency for customers on a worldwide basis.

• Achieve business plans for both new machine sales and parts sales to users, including the development of aftermarket services to support the customers short and long strategy.

What You Have:

Top Candidates Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience

• Experience with Aftermarket business including understanding of the needs of customers, dealers, and product groups.

• At least 4 years' experience in the field and collaborating with dealers.

• Understanding of how to leverage Builder Files to calculate TCO by machine model & serial number by customer.

• Understanding of how to pull parts to calculate rebuilds, CVAs for cost per hour and total cost of ownership calculations.

• Ability to negotiate complex agreements with customers using various concepts and techniques, including ability to influence internal business partners.

• Understanding of proper account management practices to support customers.

The Retail & Marketing Strategy Manager plays a critical role in the success of the collective department driving key strategic initiatives and actions across Construction Industry Services Division (CISD) and across the enterprise. As a member of the leadership team, you will provide important and strategic input and facilitation, being a key enabler for the Department Head.

Job Summary:

This is a highly strategic role that relies on effective networking and exceptional interpersonal skills, as there is significant interdependency across Caterpillar with key business partners including CISD (all departments), MBDs (EXD, EMD, BCP), Component Product Groups, PSLD, Cat Financial, Global Service and the DSDs. The Strategy Manager is diligently focused on delivery and execution, relying on their strategic perspective to assure the most relevant outcome and impact in order to drive Retail & Small Core STU growth. The position often confronts complex issues or problems, which require careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique, and solutions can require non-traditional approaches. You will establish and then monitor general policies and guidelines for projects under your control to ensure specific management goals are met, and desired results are achieved. The position serves as an advisor/consultant to CISD Vice President.

Job Duties:

• Leading strategy development to improve results for department and division positively impacting Retail & Small Core STU growth

• Leading on-going improvement of Retail 7 Deliverable framework and the linkage to the Dealer Retail & Small Core Services Growth Plans centrally in alignment with CISD Retail & Small Core Sales Support Managers

• Leading strategy and on-going support for Breakthrough #4 (Marketing Prioritized Service Events) and Breakthrough #5 (eCommerce Retail Customer Activation)

• Effective champion for Retail & Small Core Go-to-Market support related to Product with Core Services Development Team

• Coordinating and developing annual business plan and department expense budgets and results and coordinates rolling business management with Business Resources

• Managing metrics, dashboards and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to ensure

• rigorous data governance to maintain data integrity standards

• Planning and directing all Retail related projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise including a standardized process to ensure alignment on -Why Retail- for dealers and internal business partners highlighting the burning platform and supporting financials

• Exceptional networking skills, being accessible, responsive and focused on delivery and execution
