We currently have an exciting and impactful career opportunity as a Manufacturing Engineer . In this role, you will provides technical expertise necessary to design all aspects of paint operations including cost, quality, compliance and safety.

What you will do:

. Identify, procure, and implement enhancements and modifications to complex manufacturing operations including the funding process (capex).

. Monitor sophisticated equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas.

. Provide direct supervision, coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.

. Lead engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

Job Summary:

The Electric Power Division currently has an opening for an Engineering Project Team Leader in the Americas Custom Solutions Packaging Engineering Team located in Griffin, Ga. As an Engineering Project Team Leader, you will have responsibility for the planning and execution of enclosure packaging development programs and ongoing maintenance initiatives. Keys to success in this role are the ability to manage project plans, effectively communicate with process partners, and escalate issues as needed. You will manage the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn, and stay up to date on innovative technologies, mentor and coach team members, and deepen your professional network.

What you will do:

- Lead global teams in the design of new products, processes, components, and systems

- Translate functional requirements into detailed product designs.

- Ensure customer technical and industry code requirements are met.

- Utilize 3D modeling software to create top-down product models to ensure system interactions are being accounted and controlled to produce robust package solutions.

- Manage multiple project plans and objectives to meet customer delivery dates.

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Security Technician III position located in the Corinth, MS facility. The Security/Safety Officer is charged with ensuring the safety of Caterpillar Employees, Visitors, and Staff. This role is responsible for both proactive measures to prevent safety incidents, as well as reacting to and dealing with safety incidents that do arise. Security/Safety Officers role is one of protection and service to all Individuals, facilities, property, and integrity of all company assets. The goal of this position is to enhance the experience of those within Caterpillar by promoting a Safe and Secure Work Environment and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations that are in place for the good of the Corporation.

Job Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Actively monitor grounds, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity/persons, safety/fire hazards and maintenance issues. Report circumstances to the appropriate parties for correction or follow-up.

  • Receive emergency calls and respond appropriately.

  • Enforce Caterpillar Safety Policies, alerting them and correcting them of infractions, and escorting unwanted or disruptive persons from property when necessary.

  • Assist staff and emergency medical personnel in emergencies.

  • Respond to alarms and dispatched calls with professional and appropriate response.

  • Flexibility to work overtime on short notice - may be required to work alternative shifts as business demands.

Shifts Available:

As a Bending Setup/Operator, you will set-up and operate one or more bending machines to perform machining operations on a variety of standardized work to prescribed tolerances and finish requirements. Must be capable of performing set-up and operating routines for all benders using prescribed methods and perform general maintenance on assigned machines.

Job Duties:

  • Identify tooling and equipment necessary to perform assigned operation.

  • Follow start up and shut down procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and record same.

  • Working from blue print, plan set-ups and operating routine using prescribed methods and operate bending equipment to efficiently produce finished product.

  • Ensure that all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and/or measuring.

  • Using a variety of different ways or means, move materials as required.

  • Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc

  • Perform rework as necessary.

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Cleaning III position located in the Corinth, MS facility . This position will require operating programmable cleaning machinery. The position will require program selection, parts loading and unloading and OPM (operator performed maintenance). An example of a Cleaning 3 position will be operating the Jen Fab.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environment

  • May require loading and unloading parts from washer

  • May require utilizing hoists, overhead cranes and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area

  • May perform material handling, unloading parts from tubs or baskets according to production schedule

  • Operator will work with cleaning chemicals and be required to understand hazard awareness

  • Operation of a programmable CPU unit

  • May require checking incoming core and entering data

  • Cross training in other positions up to and including Salary Grade 3 may be required, based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met

  • Examples of positions within Salary grade range include Cleaning 1, 2, 3, Disassembly 1, 2, Assembly 1, 2, Machining 1, 2, Logistics 1, 2 and/or Quality 1

Job Summary/ Responsibilities:

As a maintenance apprentice, you will assist with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines. While going to college, the students will go to school full-time and will work part-time at hours prescribed by the Maintenance Manager that will allow them to be both successful in their classes and work on-the-job training with a journeyman/mentor at Hodges Casting Facility. This will allow the Apprentice to get both lecture and hands-on laboratory training during school, while getting hands-on training on actual equipment they will be responsible for doing preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and maintenance repairs on manufacturing and process control equipment and systems after they graduate. Upon completion of this program, this Maintenance Apprentice will carry a dual role in both Mechanical and Electrical Trade, meaning that they will be able to fill a spot at Hodges Casting Facility as a Maintenance Tech that can work on both trades of Mechanical and Electrical.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a GED or HS Diploma

  • Completes Math, English, and mechanical aptitude test through Piedmont Technical College

  • Passes the testing at Piedmont Technical College to be considered for role.

  • Completion of Caterpillar interview

  • Ability to commute to and from the Caterpillar Hodges facility and Piedmont Technical College

1st Shift: $17.41/hour

  • Womack Location: Start time determined by role, eight-hour shift beginning at either 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m. or7 a.m.

  • Boone Trail Location: Eight-hour shift beginning at 5:30 a.m.

3rd Shift: $18.80/hour (includes 8% night shift premium)

  • Womack Location: Start time determined by role, eight-hour shift beginning at either 9:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. or 11 p.m.

  • Boone Trail Location: Eight-hour shift beginning at 9:30 p.m.

*Role requires overtime as needed to support business needs *

Caterpillar will provide a cash sign-on bonus of $750, less applicable withholdings and taxes, to be paid as soon as administratively practical upon completion of your first day of employment.
