Utilities Repair EHS Wastewater Technicians needed at The Large Power Systems Division located in Lafayette, IN. In this role as a Utilities Repair Environmental Health and Safety Wastewater Technician, you will perform assignments of specific tasks focused on tracking compliance and monitoring performance. The key role of this position is to support the facility in evaluating program effectiveness and compliance. Attention to detail in this position is critical. You will collect and evaluate data daily.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies Applicable EHS regulations and evaluates impact to the facility

  • Identifies existing and potential EHS problems

  • Participates in developing corrective measures

  • Develops procedures to assure continuing compliance with regulations and organizational standards

  • Develops management systems for EHS functions

  • Participates on teams to ensure compliance with organization and all government EHS standards as well as performing EHS audits.

  • Develops EHS training programs and completes reports for submission to EPA or OSHA

  • This role will require working toward and obtaining a Class D license

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience.

  • Must hold, at minimum, a Class B license and be working towards a Class D License

  • Applicant must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic systems

  • Applicant must have working knowledge of RCRA and Hazardous waste regulations

  • Applicant must be able to read and understand mechanical prints

  • Self-starter and self-motivated individual who works well individually in a team environment

  • Proficient in recordkeeping utilizing MS Excel

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience handling hazardous waste

  • DOT and RCRA Certifications

  • Working knowledge of SPCC and SWPPP plans and regulations

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively

  • Experience working in a Lab Environment

This position is for a AWS- Level 3 Machinist Technician within the Large Power Systems Division located in our Lafayette, IN facility. Candidates must have a strong machining background with experience in boring milling, drilling and reaming. Must have knowledge of CNC programs and be able to make offset adjustments as required. Candidates will machine engine components using lathes, mills, drills, boring machines, and / or grinders. Must be able to use various gages to verify part quality.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for production, quality, housekeeping and other related duties associated with the operations.

  • Set up and operate NC machines, transport material, audit, operate wash tanks and operate some manual operations

  • Interpret Job Instruction Sheet, Standard Work Documents, GageIt (gage tracking), CMM data, and accountable for processes by monitoring Infinity.

  • At times may be required to work overtime to support the manufacturing requirements.

  • Troubleshooting ability to solve everyday problems.

Basic Qualifications:

Utilities Repair Technicians needed at The Large Power Systems Division located in Lafayette, IN. In this role, you will be responsible to mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machines and related equipment that perform assembly, torque, and material movement functions in the assembly areas. Applicant must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair the following types of machines and components: mechanical repairs to utilities, test cells, building and grounds, pump rebuilds, HVAC, boiler operation and assembly maintenance.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extensive experience in the mechanical and/or electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment is helpful.

  • Must have successfully completed an approved HVAC training program and possess practical experience in the HVAC field.

  • Possess the ability to install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precision bearings, HVAC, and a variety of other controllers on the machines in the assembly areas.

  • Example of related equipment: Boiler operation, pumps, P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, torque tools, washers, ABB robots, paint booth, Test Cells.

  • Applicant should have a thorough understanding of leveling and alignment of machines, alignment of shafts, gearing, welding, lubrication principles, pipefitting, and tube bending.

Description

As a Senior Design Engineer concentrating on the motor design in the Motor and System Components team, you will be joining a rapid growing innovative team on the cutting edge of electrification. You will have the unique opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of rotating electrical components primarily consisting of motors and generators.

The Motor and System Components team is responsible for end-to-end design and development of components for multiple Caterpillar applications. You will have the opportunity to strengthening your simulation skills, analytical skills, and mastery of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts associated with medium voltage motors and generators.

You will be responsible for the execution and coordination of design efforts necessary for the successful design and development. You will have the opportunity to lead and work with a highly experienced team of engineers having significant experience across Caterpillar electric drive applications.

  • Develop design concepts through a process of optimization

What You Will Do:

  • Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing.

  • Willingness to be trained on and operate cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists, as well as all other tasks in the operation. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment

Role Definition

The Field Service Technician I at SPM Oil & Gas will assist Field Service Technicians while learning to deliver, install, troubleshoot, test and repair pressure control equipment on customer location.   • Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change

  • Assist Field Service Technicians in safe installation, removal, repair and service of equipment on a drilling rig or well site

  • Aim to provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers

  • Maintain SPM Oil and Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy

  • Learn to prepare accurate field service and sales orders

  • Promote and represent SPM Oil and Gas in field service and sales

  • Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times

  • Assist Field Service technician in the pre-check of all equipment and processes prior to starting the job to ensure all equipment is operable and complete

What you will do:

Join Caterpillar's Earthmoving Supply Management Team as a Category Buyer and help shape our future by ensuring top-quality components for our earthmoving products. You'll be the key link between Caterpillar and our suppliers driving negotiations and securing critical components for drivechain, undercarriage, winches, and non-current parts, directly supporting North America facilities. You'll also support new product development by collaborating with design engineers on new part designs. This is your chance to make an impact and be part of a market-leading team!

What You Will Do:

  • Manage supplier relationships, focusing on quality, costs, and logistics

  • Oversee supplier onboarding/offboarding and maintain/create supplier agreements

  • Handle daily procurement tasks and supplier performance management

  • Collaborate on part-level products and process development through Collaborative Product and Process Development (CPPD)

  • Support new product development by working on supplier selection, product cost targets, and ensuring supplier readiness.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • 4-year college or university degree OR relevant progressive experience in the following purchasing, logistics, manufacturing and/or engineering

  • Strong data analytics skills with experience in analyzing supplier performance and procurement data to drive decision-making. Experience in SAP/ERP or similar system.

  • Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terns with internal teams and external venders.

  • Experience in contract management, including drafting, reviewing and maintaining supplier and development agreements

  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management, fostering productive partnerships and ensuring alignment with business goals

Top Candidates Will Have :

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others, and reaching consensus on specific actions.

  • Experience in leading teams, supplier, and customers to effective solutions.

  • Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skills.

  • Professional certification in Purchasing and/or supply chain management.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.

  • Experience with New Product Introductions (NPI), lean, & standard processes.

As a Parts & Ser vice Consultant in Earthmovi ng Division within Caterpillar , you will work with the Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) team with a direct impact on improving customer uptime by putting solutions in place to resolve our highest priority MWL aftermarket parts availability issues. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of parts availability which is a key enabler to achieving our aftermarket services growth targets.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the MWL Lifecycle Manager to achieve availability target and drive profitability across the MWL parts portfolio.

  • Create incremental stocking requests as needed by aligning with our aftermarket growth initiatives to deliver services growth goals.

  • Establish metrics and targets to monitor and review the MWL availability gaps and status.

  • Maintain effective internal communications and business partner relationships to quickly identifyand resolve availability issues.

  • Support dealers with proactive management of orders to support customer rebuilds.
