SUMMARY: As a member of the digital print center team, the primary objective for this position is to safely and accurately print, trim, bind and put away printed products as requested by Cengage Learning customers.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Hunkeler Operator position is responsible for trimming, stacking and palletizing as specified in customer orders. The technician will need to work independently and be willing to learn all machinery within the Digital Print Center. As all positions in the distribution facility, this position will flex to other departments as necessary or decided by business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize sight recognition and matching of numeric and alpha listings to ensure accurate inventory and order placement.
Operate machinery to assemble, trim, and collate products as specified by customers. - Maintain a clean working environment protecting machinery.
Adjust equipment as necessary to ensure machinery runs efficiently.
Comfortable with computer entry.
Perform consistent counting of product and pallets utilizing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Safely lift, push, pull and relocate packages up to 50lbs as required.
Ensure carts are safely/properly stacked to full capacity.
Must be able to flex between the digital print center and other departments as business needs instruct.
Must be able to safely operate and maintain Powered Industrial Truck license.
Adhere to all safety practices and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
Strong organizational skills are required, as well as the capability to multitask efficiently.
Maintain appropriate PIT certifications.
Must be flexible with work hours.
Adequate computer experience.
Stand and walk for 8-10 hours.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs throughout an 8-10 hour shift. Must be able to push/pull 1,100 lb. rolls of paper on a cart.
Adhere to all safety practices and policies.
PREFERRED:
Strong computer skills.
Prior distribution experience.
Compensation is $18.50/hr.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst that will play a key role in the Cengage Academic Finance group providing the financial and related operational support for several Cengage Academic teams! Responsibilities include forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis for the Cengage Academic P&L; decision support for various Cengage Academic teams; and financial and operational support in pursuit of strategic drivers of value. Candidates able to go into our Mason, OH once a week for team meetings is preferred however remote/virtual candidates will be considered.
The incumbent should have proven interpersonal skills with a track record of establishing collaborative business relationships with cross functional teams within an organization; the ability to manage and use large volumes of data within analyses along with using existing resources to problem solve; and have effective communication skills to work with all levels of management and staff. This role will report to the Director of Finance.
What you'll do here:
Support the FP&A function for Cengage Academic teams including preparation of the annual budget and subsequent re-forecasts, variance analysis, monthly reporting, and ad hoc reporting
Maintains and updates headcount tracker and other financial models and performs analysis to support the budgeting/forecasting process in support of strategic initiatives
Investigates discrepancies and provides recommendations
Communicate with business partners to identify strategic priorities, funding plans, and reporting requirements
Use Excel to model scenarios, build forecasts, perform trend analysis, and identify drivers of business
Drive decision making and strategy with data and analytical insight
Skills you will need here:
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting/Finance, or Quantitative subject areas required
4+ years related experience in financial reporting, planning, forecasting, analysis, and month-end close
Ability to contribute constructively in a team-oriented environment and adapts well to fast-paced environment with constantly evolving priorities and activities
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required
Experience with PowerPivot, Tableau, Smartsheets and other data visualization tools a plus
Experience with financial reporting and planning software and general ledger systems (JD Edwards, Hyperion Essbase -Smartview, Oracle Data Warehouse, PLANit)
Strong Accounting background with understanding of GAAP and Compliance standards
Excellent detail-orientation with ability to multitask and respond to competing priorities
Commitment to continually trying to improve existing processes and finding opportunities to work more efficiently
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral with ability to communicate complex business information to a range of audiences

The Senior Director, Marketing (NGL) is jointly responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategy for Cengage Learning's K-12 business. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, General Manager of National Geographic Learning, this individual will synthesize market and customer insights to inform strategy, while partnering across functions to build a cohesive story for all product offers and customers. A strategic problem solver with an execution orientation, the Senior Director will: oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and thought leadership strategies to increase brand affinity; apply demand gen standard methodologies to create a rich marketing-sourced sales pipeline; lead the team in the execution of high impact account-based marketing and sales enablement programs; and measure all marketing activities to ensure high return on investment, using data to inform tactics and strategies.
What you'll do here:
Lead product marketing messaging, positioning and campaign development.
With a research-driven approach, help your team uncover product value points and translate them into messaging that clearly differentiates National Geographic Learning and Cengage K-12 solutions from its competitors.
Take a data-driven approach to support pipeline goals. Work closely with other leaders in marketing, sales, and go-to-market operations to ensure pipeline goals are met in the short- and long-term.
Constantly search for ways to drive win rates and reduce objections through strategic sales enablement and client journey optimization.
Implement account-based marketing by concentrating resources on a set of key target accounts within K-12 market.
Lead the use of personalized campaigns designed to engage each account, basing the marketing message on the specific attributes and needs of the account.
Develop and demonstrate deep business understanding and strong relationships with key partners, working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Technology, and Strategy leaders.
Provide insight and support to company leadership to inform the identification and shape the development of new offerings (products, solutions or services).
Work with Sr Director, Digital Marketing, and the Corporate Communications team to drive brand goals and reach.
Engage media and industry influencers to reinforce thought leadership and the National Geographic Learning and Cengage Learning K-12 narrative.
Manage budgets and resources effectively; measure programs and campaigns for effectiveness; report on success via traditional and non-traditional measures; demonstrate value.
Provide marketing support for strategic partnerships, and other key initiatives for the channel.
Manage the creation of sales tools, training materials, and compelling content and collateral including customer presentations, flyers/brochures, proposal templates, and case studies that help our K-12 Sales team build and close pipeline;
Ensure that in person and virtual events, conference, and other briefings are well planned and implemented.
Skills you will need here:
A bachelor's degree is required; MBA is a plus.
12+ years marketing experience, with 10+ years' experience in K-12 product marketing preferred
3+ years managing other marketers.
Understanding of K-12 state adoption markets and processes.

The Manager, Financial Analysis and Planning will play a key role in Finance by providing financial and related operational support for our Secondary Education/NGL business unit, with a strong focus on the middle school and high school market and digital learning.
Key responsibilities include internal controls related to the Order to Cash process, building and maintaining data driven reporting and operating metrics, and expense management.
The incumbent should have effective communication skills with a track record of establishing collaborative business relationships with different teams within the organization.
What you'll do here:
Responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of core reporting outputs, driving increased automation and consistency in information provided.
Assist with the Go-to-Market planning, growth strategy, business operations and data evaluation.
Projects and deliverables range from building a scalable reporting infrastructure, supporting the creation of the product growth strategy, and key performance metric reviews.
Develop scorecards and models that add functionality to existing reporting tools in an efficient manner to support key partners.
Extract and manage large amounts of data in multiple formats, conduct analyses, summarize and optimally communicate findings to support the decision-making process.
Oversee and review ISBN setup for the Secondary Education/NGL business to ensure coding is setup correctly for revenue recognition, payment to authors and partners, and financial reporting.
Partner with cross functional business partners to implement standard methodologies, system enhancements, and continuous improvements as it relates to the Quote to Cash process.
Increase efficiency and ensure scalability, document procedures and enhance a strong internal controls environment.

The Manager, Financial Analysis and Planning will play a key role in Finance by providing financial and related operational support for our Secondary Education/NGL business unit, with a strong focus on the middle school and high school market and digital learning.
Key responsibilities include internal controls related to the Order to Cash process, building and maintaining data driven reporting and operating metrics, and expense management.
The incumbent should have effective communication skills with a track record of establishing collaborative business relationships with different teams within the organization.
What you'll do here:
Responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of core reporting outputs, driving increased automation and consistency in information provided.
Assist with the Go-to-Market planning, growth strategy, business operations and data evaluation.
Projects and deliverables range from building a scalable reporting infrastructure, supporting the creation of the product growth strategy, and key performance metric reviews.
Develop scorecards and models that add functionality to existing reporting tools in an efficient manner to support key partners.
Extract and manage large amounts of data in multiple formats, conduct analyses, summarize and optimally communicate findings to support the decision-making process.
Oversee and review ISBN setup for the Secondary Education/NGL business to ensure coding is setup correctly for revenue recognition, payment to authors and partners, and financial reporting.
Partner with cross functional business partners to implement standard methodologies, system enhancements, and continuous improvements as it relates to the Quote to Cash process.
Increase efficiency and ensure scalability, document procedures and enhance a strong internal controls environment.
Develop detailed financial and analytical models to improve insight into business performance and support critical initiatives.
Perform special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis, as required.
Skills you will need here:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of dynamic accounting experience.
Knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606) and contract review, internal controls / SOX compliance, segment reporting and the close process.
Ability to analyze problems and actively strategize to resolve such problems,
Good attention to detail, solid organization skills, and a proven record of process improvement and standardization.
Solid experience designing and instituting policies and procedures to maintain or improve strong controls.

The Senior Director, Marketing (NGL) is jointly responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategy for Cengage Learning's K-12 business. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, General Manager of National Geographic Learning, this individual will synthesize market and customer insights to inform strategy, while partnering across functions to build a cohesive story for all product offers and customers. A strategic problem solver with an execution orientation, the Senior Director will: oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and thought leadership strategies to increase brand affinity; apply demand gen standard methodologies to create a rich marketing-sourced sales pipeline; lead the team in the execution of high impact account-based marketing and sales enablement programs; and measure all marketing activities to ensure high return on investment, using data to inform tactics and strategies.

What You'll Do:
Create and implement sales plans, strategies, and tactics for the territory.
Increase sales through identifying customers' needs, matching Gale products to those needs, preparing and delivering sales presentations, writing proposals, creating quotes, and closing sales.
Secure and conduct a minimum of 20 dials/6 presentations per day.
Follow up on marketing qualified leads (MQLs) within 48 hours of receipt.

The Gale Academic Library Sales Consultant (Inside Sales Representative) achieves financial targets through developing and maintaining sales of Gale digital and print products to public libraries in a multi-state territory.
What You'll Do:
Create and implement sales plans, strategies, and tactics for the territory.
Increase sales through identifying customers' needs, matching Gale products to those needs, preparing and delivering sales presentations, writing proposals, creating quotes, and closing sales.
Secure and conduct a minimum of 20 dials/6 presentations per day.
Follow up on marketing qualified leads (MQLs) within 48 hours of receipt.
Prioritize opportunities, and efficiently follow through all stages of the sales cycle to conclusion.
Manage territory pipeline and provide accurate monthly forecasts.
Represent Gale at key industry events such as conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows as needed.
Cultivate and maintain extensive product knowledge of a large and growing product list
Provide detailed sales reports and maintain customer and sales information via CRM systems
Utilize sales tools and technology as part of territory planning and sales process (tools include Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, Zoom, Calendly etc.)
Uncover opportunities and solicit information from public librarians, subject librarians, and researchers through effective questioning and listening
Work closely with the sales team and with other departments such as marketing, customer success, customer care, subscription renewals, sales enablement, and product development.
