Pay starting at $17.50! Pay can increase depending on experience!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM - 4:30PM

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication

  • Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe length

  • Measure and cut pipe with band saw and/or torch, rolling and grooving single and double random lengths and threading and beveling of pipe with landis machines

  • Move loose and /or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard

  • Assemble pipe orders whether in single sticks or bundles and maintain work supplies in an organized manner

  • Observe vital safety precautions for fabrications, cutting, assembling, stacking and shipping of pipe for storage and transportation

  • Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures

Qualifications:

  • Prior Fabrication experience is preferred

  • Outstanding math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand

  • Experience and training in operating machinery for the use of cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations preferred

  • Ability to remain results-focused in the fast-paced customer service environment

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation with the leadership and development of approximately 8-14 hourly associates.

This role will be responsible for the leadership of our critical evening shift which activities consist of order selecting from the Autostore (robotic pick module) and general storage areas, load consolidation, truck loading, and various receiving/inventory control functions.

This position oversees a team of hourly associates working a night shift schedule of Monday-Friday, 9 p.m.-5 a.m .

In addition to the responsibilities above, you will:

  • Lead our teams safely and establish and enforce a culture of safety on the shift

  • Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner

  • Lead all aspects of shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading operations

  • Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner

  • Run DCs quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies.

  • Balance workload planning to reach budget and production goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Job Summary:

The Manager of Global Trade Compliance position for ensuring all Ferguson Divisions are following Customs Laws and Regulations of imported/exported merchandise.

The Manager of Global Trade Compliance position is responsible to ensure FEL Divisions are following Customs Laws and Regulations of imported/exported merchandise. This position is also responsible for the accurate classification of merchandise and customs clearance of all FEL Divisions imported product. This includes a duty exposure of over $60 million and compliance with all U.S. Government programs and regulations to ensure timely delivery of merchandise. This position will liaise with logistics and other internal functional groups, external service providers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and customs brokers to ensure that product flow meets the demands of the regulatory law ordinances to avoid risks that may result in fines and penalties to the organization.

This position provides analytical, research and organizational support related to customs and trade compliance to further the Company's efforts on new and existing product development, vendor selection and risk management. This position identifies and manages compliance risks and recommends opportunities to improve workflows.

As an overview, FEL annually imports over $435MM of merchandise out of 52 unique ports across 17 countries in Asia, Europe and South America, processes over 5,000 US Customs entries and moves over 12,000 containers worth over $40MM in freight spend.

Primary Functions:

  • Oversees, directs and maintains overall Customs Compliance Procedures to ensure all Ferguson Divisions are operating standard processes related to entry release of merchandise and has knowledge of all areas of the U.S. Customs Regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Section Notes, researches Customs binding rulings, and Export Regulations.

  • Monitors regulatory and legislative changes. Communicates the changes internally as well as change processes to follow new regulations and laws.

  • Direct supervision of 3 Import/Export Specialists who are responsible for Import Customs Compliance, Classification, Finance and daily brokerage operations, as well as Export operations.

  • Ensure overall corporate compliance with proper recordkeeping, valuation, quantity, country of origin and classification.

  • Supplier Management duties include working with freight forwarders, U.S. Customs Officers, Customs Brokers, internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to Customs Import and Export Regulations. Liaise with Company and outside Legal Counsel on customs business.

  • Overall responsibility for implementing and managing all Customs & Border Protection programs such as corporate security procedures for C-TPAT Trade Compliance.

  • Administer Customs training programs to Ferguson associates that include working across internal departments; Risk Management, Product Safety and Testing, Ferguson Global Asia. Sourcing, Accounting, Product Development, Distribution, and Logistics, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

  • 3+ years of related experience in International Trade and Compliance; or equivalent combination of training, education or experience.

  • Previous experience with export compliance, foreign classification and managing CBP relationships strongly preferred.
