This position performs all duties associated with interpretation, dispensing and monitoring of medications to provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians and other health care professionals. The pharmacist will optimize drug therapy to improve the patient's quality of life and health outcomes, while providing access to medications and immunizations. The pharmacist will also participate in clinical initiatives and assist in all aspects of the daily pharmacy department activities, including training of new staff and pharmacy students, supervision of pharmacy technicians and interns, resolution of customer service issues, billing, record keeping, monthly audits, and other functions necessary for optimal pharmacy performance. Job duties also include inventory control, care of supplies and equipment, and accurate cash handling, and other duties as assigned by the department leader.

Education Qualifications:

Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin). If currently registered as a Pharmacist in another state, must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin) as a Pharmacist-Intern and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire. Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.

  Basic Life Support (BLS) certified at time of hire.

  Immunization Delivery Certification required at time of hire.

The Acute Care Pharmacist is responsible for performing all duties associated with interpretation, order verification, dispensing and monitoring of medications ordered by prescribers; the evaluation and dissemination of comprehensive information about medications and their use, to patients, families, and medical staff; and providing quality pharmaceutical care to make a healthy difference in people's lives. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform a variety of echocardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units, or surgical setting for patients. You will provide measurement and image data to the Cardiologists for interpretation. You may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by Essentia Health Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International. New hire sonographers must be registry eligible and become registered within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 month of hire or transfer.

• Must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire/transfer
