A Day in the Life:
Provide Damuth's 5-Star Experience to internal and external customers. Our commitment is to have our clients feel understood, respected, valued, impressed and championed during every interaction. This position will require you to program, commission, diagnose, and repair BAS control systems. You will utilize knowledge of electronics, direct digital controls, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory and control techniques. Serve as technical resource to operations and sales teams as required.
Use of a variety of hand tools and instruments for installation of controls systems.
Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation, assembly, testing, and programming of controls systems.
Assist all other BAS Project Technicians with tasks as requested.
Actively participate in training programs to improve technical knowledge and maintain current technical proficiency as new controllers are introduced.
Update as-built drawings for the engineering group as required.
Complete assigned work in time prescribed and in accordance with established standards.
Consistently execute assigned projects within budgeted time, providing documentation as necessary
Execute SPD and warranty repairs completing all required documentation as requested.
Maintain assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and document all related activities.
Support the execution of SPD and warranty repairs as requested.
Coordinate activities on projects as assigned using appropriate methods and established standards for communication.
Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files as required.
Record parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight stays. (2 %)
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as projects require.
Responsible for sharing learning gained by attendance in offsite training classes Damuth associates who can benefit from the learning. This should be in presentation format and delivered within two weeks of returning from any training class.
Education & Experience
Required - High School Diploma or equivalent
Required - Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; preferably Building Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or HVAC Technology
Technical Knowledge Requirements
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
Lock out / tag out procedures.
Analog and Binary function using industry standard terms.
Troubleshoot basic controls circuits including starters, safety shutdowns and typical HVAC systems.
PID loops and device scaling for typical control applications.
Basic refrigeration cycle.
Air Handler and Rooftop Unit construction in VAV and constant volume applications.
General pumping and fluid system application.
Control valve and damper wiring used in commercial HVAC applications.
Basic automation system topologies.
Identify and explain basic application of Trane controllers available to construct an automation system.
Physical Requirements
Required - Ability to pass drug screening.
Required - Mobility within the office and on job site.
Required - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Required - Willing to travel locally.
Other Requirements
Required - Able to prove U.S. Employment eligibility without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Required - Valid Driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
DUI in the previous 5 years

A Day in the Life:
With safety being top priority, service technician will be responsible for operating, repairing, and maintaining equipment including: HVAC equipment, building control system, systems involving electric and pneumatic air flow, water flow, gas/electric heating and cooling equipment, boilers, valves, apparatus and lines used in the distribution of heated, chilled or processed water, building automation system, variable frequency drive units, and computerized Maintenance Management System.
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products.
Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Assists in ordering parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
Documents work electronically on each job daily, to include progress, duration; and maintaining files and reports submitting in a timely manner.
Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
Read and interpret product specifications and have experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary.

The Estimator will work closely with the Sales Engineers, Project Managers, Sales staff, subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure timely completion of a detailed cost estimate.
Qualify jobs with Sales Staff to determine the level of estimate needed, (competitive, negotiated or flat specified).
Responsible for creating cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist Account Managers in bidding on or determining price of project.
Utilize plans, specifications, and knowledge of controls/construction industry to analyze project needs and compiles detailed cost estimates.
Perform preliminary engineering.
Responsible for the take-off and pricing of controls materials to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.

Generate and distribute proposals.
Maintain competitive advantage by staying current with company estimating tools.
Conduct site visits with or without a salesperson to determine field conditions.
Attend Transition Meetings and close-out meetings for jobs.
Participate in team-oriented development of larger ESPC and other projects.

A Day in the Life:

You will utilize knowledge of electronics, direct digital controls, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory and control techniques. Use of a variety of hand tools and instruments for installation of controls systems.
Interpret control drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation, assembly, testing, and programming of controls systems.
Assist all other BAS Project Technicians with tasks as requested.
Actively participate in training programs to improve technical knowledge and maintain current technical proficiency as new controllers are introduced.
Update as-built drawings for the engineering group as required.
Complete assigned work in time prescribed and in accordance with established standards.
Consistently execute assigned projects within budgeted time, providing documentation as necessary
Execute SPD and warranty repairs completing all required documentation as requested.
Maintain assigned stock of inventory, company equipment, and document all related activities.
Support the execution of SPD and warranty repairs as requested.
Coordinate activities on projects as assigned using appropriate methods and established standards for communication.
Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files as required.
Record parts, material, labor, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight stays. (2 %)
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as projects require.
Responsible for sharing learning gained by attendance in offsite training classes Damuth associates who can benefit from the learning. This should be in presentation format and delivered within two weeks of returning from any training class.
Education & Experience
Required - High School Diploma or equivalent
Required - Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school
Technical Knowledge Requirements
Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
Lock out / tag out procedures.
Analog and Binary function using industry standard terms.
Troubleshoot basic controls circuits including starters, safety shutdowns and typical HVAC systems.
PID loops and device scaling for typical control applications.
Basic refrigeration cycle.
Air Handler and Rooftop Unit construction in VAV and constant volume applications.
General pumping and fluid system application.
Control valve and damper wiring used in commercial HVAC applications.
Basic automation system topologies.
Identify and explain basic application of Trane controllers available to construct an automation system.

Primary Role

Monitor technician compliance with established standards of task management on job site visits.
Assist Project Managers in development of schedules to ensure adequate preparation and supervision of technicians during critical phasing of open projects.
Assist Project Managers with choices related to project assignment as requested with the development of technicians in mind
Complete at least 4 Safety Observations per month
Coordinate with Mechanical Contractors and/or General Contractors related to the project schedule
Monitor subcontractor progress in relation to the schedule; advise Project Manager if critical dates are not being made
Work with Project Technicians to layout sensor location in Mechanical Pipe Systems
Resolve Material Deficiencies on the project, coordinate resources as required
Punch-list Management - coordination of subcontractor and other parties to resolve contract punch-lists items
Support all Pre-Commissioning activities as required
Assist Project Administrator and Project Technicians with tracking and following SPD requests
Assist Project Manager with tracking and completing warranty calls
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Primary Role
To provide Damuth's 5-Star Experience to internal and external customers by developing new Client relationships and strengthening the existing client base to ensure maximum account penetration and client retention. To sell and promote the products and services of Trane HVAC Parts and Supplies.

Make new product presentations and sales presentations.
Achieve monthly and yearly sales and gross margin goals.
Develop and demonstrate use of client action plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements for a strong and profitable partnership.
Develop relationships with more than one key player in each account.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel
Qualifications

A Day in the Life:

PRIMARY ROLE
This role works with internal teams and direct customers to identify and develop turnkey design-build solutions and/or owner direct contracting projects. This will include scope of work development, cost estimating and proposal support as part of value-add solution. TECHNICAL / FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF SALES ACTIVITIES
Develop HVAC system solutions using a combination of Trane equipment and controls and other leading HVAC equipment and systems that include project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and system validation.
Perform site walk-throughs to determine project viability and scope.
Coordinate with other staff members responsible for sales and development of project work for the life of the project.
Demonstrates an ability to coordinate third party providers.
Interview clients to determine -wish lists- and assess client expectations for the Small Retrofit or Replacement Projects
Ability to discuss and forecast multi-year plans and budgets for owners
Schedule and lead project development meetings; coordinate project roles and responsibilities; manage documentation of action items for commitment clarity and drive accountability.
Determines and prescribes best methods for project fulfillment
Work with BAS Developers to write HVAC system level sequence of operations and other system level control requirements.
PROPOSAL WRITING
Document clear scope details for each project with inclusions and exclusions.
Coordinate the proposal document strategy and tactics with the Account Manager.
Leads the development of project costs and supports Account Managers in creating project financials and customer facing proposals.
CLIENT SERVICE

Documents each sales opportunity using the Sandler Submarine in CRM
Focused on the sale of Service Agreements & BAS
Facilitate the Service Agreement Renewal process
Communicate regularly with Service Team Leaders.
Perform a daily review of the Service Call report to determine if there are any follow up actions or opportunities.
Qualify any new unassigned opportunities in CRM.
Work with Account Managers on any new opportunities and assist when help is needed to track down equipment information.
Assist with backup for other team members.
Work with Sales Leaders on multiple teams as needed when qualifying unassigned owner projects with Damuth Trane clients (Goal: minimize channel conflict).
Enter sales leads into CRM that are generated through your actions (core accounts or no one assigned)
