Job Summary

There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, knowledge, skills and abilities

Operations Analyst I:

- Gathers and analyzes customer calls and various computer data to determine location and cause of power outages.

- Efficiently dispatches first response personnel and repair crews to provide quick and logical response to outages and emergency situations.

- Schedules and manages other non-emergency customer requested work in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure superior customer service.

- Provides accurate and timely information to customers, and first line resolution to customer complaints.

- Accurately reports outages to customers' accounts.

- Accurately manages Estimated Restoration Times to customers.

- Maintains scheduling, reporting and follow up of the Local Office.

- Provides timely and accurate data for continual Service Reliability improvements.

- Manages backlog of maintenance projects along with actively managing backlog of streetlight repairs.

- Runs and manages financial reporting and budgetary functions for maintenance projects.

- Outage restoration crew and workload management

- Perform other duties as assigned

Operations Analyst II:

- Has complete knowledge and is proficient in all Systems and Applications used by Operations Analyst I.

- Gathers and analyzes customer calls and various computer data to determine location and cause of power outages.

- Able to perform as Local Storm Analyst.

- This position must travel for storm restoration purposes.

- Efficiently dispatches first response personnel and repair crews to provide quick and logical response to outages and emergency situations.

- Schedules and manages other non-emergency customer requested work in a timely and cost effective manner to ensure superior customer service.

- Provides accurate and timely information to customers and first line resolution to customer complaints.

- Accurately reports outages to customers' accounts.

- Uses knowledge to approve complex SROL reports.

- Accurately manages Estimated Restoration Times to customers.

- Maintains scheduling, reporting and follow up of the Local Office.

- Provides timely and accurate data for continual Service Reliability improvements.

- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Operations Analyst I:

- 0-2 years of demonstrated related experience + Associate degree OR; HS diploma / GED + 2 years of related experience. Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.

- Basic knowledge of distribution and transmission systems

- Ability to learn job-specific computer applications

- Ability to handle constantly changing and emerging priorities

- Ability to address multiple tasks simultaneously

- Skills: Interpersonal, verbal and written communications, customer service, analytical thinking, good computer skills and proficiency working in various software applications such as Microsoft Office and other Windows based applications.

- Problem resolution

- Demonstrated sound analysis skills.

Operations Analyst II:

- Minimum of 2+ years directly-related experience + an Associate's degree OR 4+ years of directly-related experience (+ a High School diploma or GED). Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.

- Successful completion of the OATP Development Program and associated testing.

- Full knowledge of distribution and transmission systems;

- Demonstrated proficiency in using job-specific computer applications;

- Interpersonal skills;

- Verbal and written communication skills;

- Customer service;

- Analytical thinking;

- Good computer skills and demonstrated proficiency working in using various software applications such as GIS, Mainframe Applications, TRS, TRSi, --Optimizer, Risk Master & Street Light Outage System, NJUNS and ARCOS;

- Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications;

- Problem resolution skills;

- Ability to address multiple tasks simultaneously;

- Able to handle constantly changing and emerging priorities;

- Demonstrated sound analysis skills.

Education Requirements

- Associate Degree Preferred or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education

Job Summary

Engineer II : This role is fully competent in all conventional aspects of the subject matter. Second level position in the engineering series provides engineering support in designated company area, or specific engineering discipline. Performs and/or reviews engineering calculations, analysis, research and design. Provides cost analysis as needed and develops recommendation based on calculations (e.g. cost for equipment upgrade) for management review. Distinguished from Engineer I by increased complexity in application of engineering skills required. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, exercises independence in evaluating, selecting and applying standard or well defined engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Uses independent judgment in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables.

Engineer III: This third level position will be responsible for the development of conceptualizing physical designs and estimate packages for Dominion's Electric Transmission and Electric Distribution Substations. Includes senior to technical expert engineers, able to perform difficult and complex work requiring thorough knowledge of the subject matter and significant experience within functional assignment area. Schedules and coordinates major segments of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered and develops engineering criteria ensuring compliance with design criteria and standards. At higher levels of proficiency within this classification, incumbents are expected to provide technical expertise and/or team leadership as needed. May be required to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices for substation projects ranging from 4kV to 500kV.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Physical design of electrical substations for new construction and upgrades

- Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to protection & control substation engineers (detail and conceptual), transmission and distribution engineers, civil and site engineers among others

- Assist project management team with the development of the scope of work and preliminary design requirements for substation engineering projects

- Assist less experienced project managers, engineers, and various construction personnel by answering questions related to estimate packages and providing technical guidance on physical layouts or electrical diagrams

- Independently develop physical design estimate packages for complex projects using applicable standards

- Using the scope of work, preliminary one-line, general arrangement, and any necessary input from the protection & control substation conceptual engineering team members, create estimates to accurately reflect material and labor costing for physical portion of project

- Makes necessary updates to estimating database to improve accuracy and consistency; refine existing estimate assemblies for improved accuracy

- Participation in site visits to support the construction group and/or asset owners

- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Requirements (please make sure your resume reflects how you meet these requirements):

  • Engineer II: 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience

  • Engineer III: 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities for Both Positions:

  • Knowledge and application of engineering theories and principles, concepts, and fundamentals

  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of substation components and their functions

  • Firm understanding of the physical design principles and practices for transmission lines, transmission and distribution configurations, and major substation equipment

  • Some drafting experience preferred; Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is a plus

  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify accuracy of one-line diagrams, general arrangements, elevation drawings and site plans is preferred

  • Self-motivator who can work cooperatively in a team environment, but is comfortable independently seeking knowledge and information\

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) is preferred.

  • Requires developmental experience in a professional engineering position

  • Competency in applying engineering principles, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity to achieve project objectives;

  • Understands and can apply knowledge of configuration management;

  • Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Matlab, Excel, etc.);

  • Planning, organizational and project management skills;

  • Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills;

  • Effective decision making skills;

  • Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing);

  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems;

  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices;

  • Equally effective working independently or in a team environment;

  • Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.

  • Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or

  • Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or

  • Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or

  • Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.

Job Summary

This position in the Information Services and Technology Group at Dominion Energy is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, and testing of complex programs to support wide-ranging business solutions.   • 5+ years of directly related experience

  • The successful candidate will have software development life-cycle experience and knowledge/understanding of IT principles, system Designs, architecture, technical feasibility and best practices.

  • Must be able to work in a professional team environment with limited direct supervision.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent customer service, and problem-solving skills

  • Create and manages development artifacts (use cases, user stories, process flows, diagrams, requirements, technical specifications, high-level approaches, as needed)

  • Prepare materials in support of design reviews, feature reviews, product design sessions, and sprint reviews, as needed.

  • Participate with clients in testing system changes and enhancements.

  • Participate in targeted technical support, issue troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Development experience using .Net technologies such as C# is required.

  • Experience with MS Cloud development suites such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Graph API is preferred.

  • Must follow pre-established standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Experience with relational database technology and design, SQL (SQL Server 2012) is required.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina has an opening for an Apprentice Linemen for Electric Distribution Operations in the Charleston, SC area. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric lines on our distribution system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly climb and work from utility poles and other tall structures

  • Safely handle heavy/bulky equipment and materials

  • Be available to respond to callouts and urgent needs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

Job Summary

This entry level position is responsible for the following job duties:

Inspects, tests, troubleshoots and repairs electrical circuits and electronic equipment under the guidance and direction of an experienced electrician or supervisor.

Performs standardized duties and tasks using hand tools and testing instruments.

Isolates defects in wiring, switches, monitors and other electrical equipment using testing instrument such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter etc.

Replaces faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems.

May dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts and related fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specifications.

Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Respects and works safely around power plant equipment to safeguard personnel and equipment. Maintains a neat, clean shop and work area to enhance the working environment.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Individual will be part of the emergency response organization and some travel (for periods of up to a month or more) may be required to support other station outages.

Must obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Required Qualifications:

Must have high school diploma or GED.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of electrical work in an industrial setting and experience working with basic hand tools.

Electrical trade school or prior military experience.

Nuclear power plant experience.

Other qualifications:

Working knowledge of AC and DC circuitry as well as equipment grounding requirements. Demonstrated use of electrical repair procedures and blueprint circuit understanding. Good oral communication skills. Applies basic skills and works on developing advance skills using tools and equipment. Ability to resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to more experienced personnel. Ability to follow standard written and oral instruction.

Required:

Job Summary

This supervisor position will support all the Northern Shops and will primarily be responsible for Northeastern Territory. This role supervises the maintenance, repair, and restoration of gas distribution facilities, project and resource management, customer involvement and monitoring of work. After hour on-call emergency response duties are required.

Additional Responsibilities: Representing FMS as a subject matter expert on various projects and committees. Supporting various business partners as needed.

Job Summary

This role will be filled at a senior level supporting Electrical Procurement Engineering services at our Dominion Energy Innsbrook Offices.

The Engineer is exposed to a diverse set of challenges associated with procurement and quality control of nuclear power plant equipment. The work is often fast-paced and directly supports plant operation for fleet Nuclear Plants in Virginia, Connecticut and South Carolina. The Engineer is involved in a broad array of technical issues related to component replacements and material quality, interfacing routinely with Procurement Engineer peers, Materials Verification Lab inspectors, vendors and manufacturers, other Supply Chain groups, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and other station personnel.

The primary duties and responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer include:

  • Provide engineering support during procurement activities of replacement parts and services

  • Develop technical evaluations and commercial grade item evaluations used to support verification and acceptance of electrical items during procurement and receipt activities

  • Prepare item equivalency evaluations, subcomponent classification evaluations, and shelf-life determinations of replacement mechanical items (i.e. compressors, engines, valves, pumps, etc.)

  • Provide testing and acceptance criteria to the Materials Verification Lab and support verification testing of materials to be used in the nuclear power plant

  • Perform engineering calculations, analysis, research and design.

5+ years of relevant engineering experience

  • Provide services to nuclear generating stations in the area of Maintenance programs, projects such as refueling outages and preventive maintenance optimization.

  • 5-8 years of Maintenance experience that demonstrates working knowledge of maintenance processes, programs and procedures including Corrective Action, Foreign Material Control, Preventative Maintenance, Lifting and Rigging and the site work management system.

  • Must have one year of nuclear power plant experience

  • Enrollment in Maintenance Supervisor Training Program in Nuclear and completion of Electrical, Mechanical, or I&C Training Program as appropriate is preferred.

  • Must have good communications skills and follow through.

  • Must have good understanding of risk assessment plan process.

  • Demonstrates good analytical and troubleshooting skills required to evaluate plant events, identify causal factors involved and develop actions required to correct deficiencies.

Primary focus is for Power Generation Solar and Battery Storage Fleet support.

The successful candidate will be able to provide the support noted below in accordance with standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements, for the Power Generation fleet and its auxiliaries:

1) Provide technical expertise and leadership in control system engineering, design, implementation, programming, configuration, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting in support of utility scale power generation SCADA and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) along with hands on support for all associated control system devices, controllers, computers and account management, communications, control logic interfaces for inverter operation and solar tracking systems, protection relay and electrical control interfaces, network connections, protocol converters, and endpoint devices.

(ICS e.g.: SCADA Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers -PLC-, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Real Time Automation Controllers -SEL RTAC-, Distributed Control Systems -DCS-, etc.)

2) Provide expertise in engineering consultation and recommendation for solution. To include development of engineering specifications and documentation, work scopes, bid proposals, test procedures, alarm response procedures, commissioning plans, and reports.

4) Manage/Lead projects and perform multiple responsibilities of controls engineering support in parallel and oversee vendor/contract support when needed.

5) Provide support and leadership to meet compliance requirements, code requirements, NERC regulatory requirements, and ICS Cyber Security requirements.

6) Investigate and implement technologies that will improve plant operation and performance (e.g. reliability, efficiency, environmental) and technologies that will assist with control system maintenance and analysis.

7) Perform due diligence for plant acquisition and evaluation of controls specifications for projects and new plant construction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Job Qualifications:

- 6+ years of professional engineering experience (post-school).

- At least six years of directly related SCADA and Industrial Control System experience working in the power industry or related heavy industrial applications.

- Strong Experience with SCADA and Industrial Control Systems to include Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and/or Distributed Control Systems (DCS) system devices, computers, communications, networks, endpoint devices, and instrumentation.

- In-depth knowledge of industry advances in control system monitoring, testing and analysis of control systems equipment; and controls theory.

Job Summary

We are seeking candidates interested in supporting environmental compliance at the Dominion Energy Materials, Metering and Recycling Center at 4307 Castlewood Road, Richmond, VA. The facility manages transformer oil for the company's Power Delivery business group. They assess and repair transformers, meters and other electrical distribution components as well as manage wastes from the Power Delivery local office locations, The facility also manages inventory of materials used in Power Delivery in the warehouse and laydown yard. Job Summary

Working fairly independently, formulates or defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications. Dominion Energy's Power Generation Business Unit seeks a Generation Cyber Security Senior Analyst to support the Power Generation fleet (non-nuclear) with computer, communications, and network security in Operational Technology (OT) Industrial Control System (ICS) environments and ICS Cyber Security environments. Primary focus is for Power Generation Solar and Battery Storage Fleet support.

The successful candidate will be able to provide the support noted below in accordance with standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements, for the operating units and auxiliaries:

- Provide ongoing support and oversight for the Industrial Control System (ICS) cyber security and secure network communications. (e.g.: SCADA Systems, DMZ Communications and Replication Systems/Software, Programmable Logic Controller systems -PLC-, Distributed Control Systems -DCS, etc.)

- Recommend and support the implementation of architectures necessary for Power Generation's cyber security and compliance posture.

- Design, Implement and manage system installations, modifications, and integration of communication protocols and programs/tools in support of secure ICS data and control communications.

- Provide hands on support with computer, software, and network device implementations, account management and review, security hardening, modifications, updates, patches, troubleshooting, and replacement.

- Research, develop, and implement cyber security architectures and communications necessary to maintain the plant cyber security and compliance posture.

- Uphold responsibilities in support of Power Generation and related cyber security project implementations and initiatives.

- Develop and implement secure software and network communication architectures to support data and access communication needs.

- Provide firewall rule development, review, and investigation and coordinate with Power Generation Cyber Security and Information Technology (IT) Groups.

- Provide cyber security and communications related monitoring, surveillance, and troubleshooting.

- Support cyber security event investigation in coordination with the Incident Response Team.

- As needed: review, analyze, and investigate logs, events, and alerts for potential security breaches.

- Monitor cyber security best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements while identifying gaps in cyber security controls and recommend/implement technical or administrative solutions to remediate.

- Follow policy and procedures established by Power Generation Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Cyber Security.

- Support deployment of cyber security equipment patches and upgrades in accordance with policy.

- Review and approve change management and design change packages for cyber security and compliance impacts.

- Address and resolve ICS-CERT vulnerabilities in coordination with compliance and station personnel.

- Develop technical procedures and guidance documents.

- Mentor other staff members to broaden knowledge and technical expertise across the team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Required experience : 5+ years of experience in operational technology cyber security, system administration, networks, firewalls, and management of Windows operating systems security (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications; A an advanced degree can count as one year experience)

Must have a 'hands on' experience/understanding utilizing cyber security processes and technologies including:

- Cyber security technologies such as network intrusion detection systems, logging and monitoring tools, antivirus tools, whitelisting tools, malware prevention tools, incident response tools, asset inventory systems and security analytics platforms

- Incident analysis, root cause analysis, and problem resolution

Job Summary

Dominion's Substation Engineering department is seeking a motivated Intern currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Engineering or Engineering Technology program who will be responsible for supporting experienced Engineers in the development of substation engineering physical or protection and control design packages. This work is vital to support the Company's growth plans and includes support of projects varying in size and complexity. While this position is primarily in an office environment, periodic field trips to Dominion substations will be required.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will work with Substation Engineers and Designers to create and modify detailed engineering drawings for substation projects using computer-aided design software. Once drawings are completed, they will be issued for construction. As necessary, the intern will accompany the engineer to the field to better understand how the engineering drawings are used by the construction team. Job Summary

Dominion Energy's Power Delivery Group is seeking a motivated Engineer I to be part of the Electric Transmission Planning Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the power system models used by the Dominion Energy Electric Transmission Planning Team and PJM. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage the development of the PSS/E power flow cases for PJM's Regional Transmission Expansion Planning Process (RTEPP), the Multiregional Modeling Working Group (MMWG), and the internal Dominion Energy base cases

- Provide model updates for ASPEN short circuit models and PSS/E power flow models throughout the year. Examples include Model on Demand (MOD) project files, contingency file updates, facility rating updates, and facility impedance updates

- Work collaboratively with the Dominion Energy ET Planning Team and PJM to develop additional power system models for reliability analyses, extreme event analyses, distributed generation sensitivity analysis, resiliency analysis, and the generator interconnection queue studies

- Work collaboratively with many internal Dominion ET departments (the SOC, system protection engineering, substation engineering lines engineering, etc.), PJM, SERC, and other external groups to develop and maintain accurate short circuit models using ASPEN One-Liner

- Perform breaker duty analysis as needed for the annual RTEPP and generator interconnection requests

- Maintain the bus impedance reports to be used by both internal and external customers

- Automate the work processes to collect load information at the winter and summer system peaks, and work with the Dominion forecasting group to update the loads in the cases using the PJM Load Forecast Report

- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of computer-based tools for the Electric Transmission Planning Team

- Possess a comfort and familiarity with creating, maintaining, and using databases

- Carry out data mining and data analytics on historical data to validate power system models

- Perform other duties as requested or assigned

This position is located in Richmond, VA with a hybrid schedule as an option subject to business needs. Relocation assistance may be offered to the successful candidate.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Candidate should have electrical engineering background, preferably in electric power systems. Other engineering backgrounds may be considered if presented in combination with a strong electric power background. Job Summary

*There are multiple positions available that will be filled at either the Engineer II or Engineer III level, commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Dominion Energy is seeking an Engineer II/III to be a part of the Operations Engineering Services - Special Studies team within Electric Transmission. The candidates will be part of a team that provides technical support for Dominion Energy Electric Transmission field operations. ET Special Studies provides domain expertise and engineering root cause analysis for operational challenges across Dominion Energy and the electric grid. As novel challenges arise, Special Studies cultivates and develop the necessary knowledge base and modeling, simulation, and other engineering capabilities to address them. Candidates should have a strong electrical engineering background and possess strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices, preferably in electric power systems.

Job activities may include:

  • Power system modeling and analysis

  • Load flow, dynamic, and small signal studies

  • Transient and electromagnetic simulations

  • Real-time digital simulations

  • Analysis and planning for significant increase in renewable energy on transmission and distribution systems, such as solar and wind energy, and the installation of microgrids throughout both systems.

  • Performing/supporting evaluation, design, engineering, and support activities related to advanced power systems technologies such as FACTS, HVDC, and inverter-based resources.

  • Power system network model validation, merging, and management.

  • Equipment and systems modeling and analysis as necessary using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software packages.

  • Supporting Dominion field organizations in response to equipment emergencies, material, design, and any other issues identified by the field including, but not limited to, root cause analysis of events and improvement plans.

  • Conducting research, development, and demonstration of leading-edge tools, technologies, and applications to maintain Dominion's leadership position in the industry.

  • Participating/collaborating with trade and industry organizations, benchmarking activities, universities, ISOs/RTOs, and national research labs.

  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of computer-based tools for Dominion Energy's engineering groups.

  • Performing/supporting protection studies including hardware-in-the-loop setting validation and IEC 61850 related integration.

  • Data mining and data analytics.

  • Analyzing multiple infrastructure interdependencies.

  • Performing manufacturer evaluations and support material requisitions as needed

Engineer II: 3+ years of related engineering experience and an ABET Accredited Engineering Degree or 3+ years of research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry. Work on such projects may be accomplished as part of an Electrical Engineering PhD program on its own or in combination with additional research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry.

Engineer III: 5+ years relevant engineering experience working in the electric utility industry or related industry (in Transmission System Operations, Substation Engineering, System Protection, Distribution Planning, or Transmission Planning, or related experience) or 5+ years of research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry. Work on such projects may be accomplished as part of an Electrical Engineering PhD program on its own or in combination with additional research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry.

  • Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications. An advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) counts towards related experienc

  • Candidate should have a strong electrical engineering background, preferably in electric power systems. Other engineering backgrounds may be considered if presented in combination with a strong electric power background.

  • Understanding of AC/DC fundamentals, three-phase power systems, the power grid, and the electric transmission system.

  • Knowledge in using specialized power engineering tools, such as PSS/E, ASPEN, PSCAD, RSCAD and RTDS, Powerworld, DSATools, TARA, MATLAB, MAXWELL 3D, and SYNERGI.

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in developing system models from diverse and indirect data and information sources preferred.

  • Knowledge of programming skills and tools for automation of system studies, such as Python, .NET, C#, Java, etc.

  • Candidate should possess strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices that will enable the successful candidate to progress in an engineering career series.

  • Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.

  • Planning, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Must possess good communication skills, written, and oral.

  • Must be dedicated to continuous improvement and identifying best practice opportunities.

  • Must be able to work well independently as well as in team environment.

  • Must be able to meet NERC certifications.

Job Summary

North Anna Power Station in Mineral, VA is seeking a Nuclear Instrument Technician at the entry or mid-level to join the team. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Perform troubleshooting and component level repair for printed circuit boards, power supplies and other electrical/electronic circuits.

  • Ideal candidate will be a motivated self -starter with exceptional organizational skills.

  • Will be required to provide reports and documentation for component repairs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Nuclear Instrument Technician I: 2 years of related experience.

  • Nuclear Instrument Technician II: 4 years of related experience.

  • Experience in soldering is required with surface mount component soldering desired.

  • Successful completion of the Instrument and Control Technician qualification test.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electronic equipment and circuitry.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with the general theories of instrumentation and control and their methods of application in nuclear power stations.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analog and digital instrumentation and control circuits.

  • Demonstrated general familiarity of electrical and mechanical physical/dimensional measurements.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret a range of general diagrams, prints, and written procedural instructions and to perform work using the information.

  • Satisfactorily completes the required initial training and on-the-job training and evaluation processes in order to proceed in line of progression as identified in the Nuclear Instrument Technician Training Program as accredited by the National Academy for Nuclear Training.

  • Must be physically able and willing to utilize respirators, SCBA bottles, fall protection or other equipment essential to the requirements of maintaining a Nuclear Power Plant including making containment entries.

  • Must be able to and willing to work at varying elevations, confined quarters and radiological areas of the plant. Must have the physical ability to carry a minimum of 50 pounds tooling, test equipment, and plant equipment.

Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as one year toward the required number of years of experience.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above are encouraged to apply.
