Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform alternative studies

• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects

• Layout of highway and roadway design elements including roadways, sidewalks, open and closed drainage design and traffic relate items

• Perform design computations

• Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools

• Develop construction cost estimates

• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Position Summary: JMT is currently seeking Surveying Technician I - Rodman/Instrument Operators for their Middlesboro, KY office. The successful candidate for this position will adjust and operate surveying instruments, such as the theodolite and electronic distance-measuring equipment, and compiles notes, make sketches and enter data into computers. They will also assist the survey team by gathering and maintaining specified data for land surveying. Finally, they will complete simple routine tasks under close supervision. • Place and hold measuring tapes when electronic distance-measuring equipment is not used

• Position and hold the vertical rods, or targets, that theodolite operators use for sighting in-order-to measure angles, distances, and elevations

• Run rods for benches and cross-section elevations

• Search for section corners, property irons, and survey points

• Set out and recover stakes, marks, and other monumentation

JMT is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector/Senior Engineer Intern for the Port St. Lucie, Florida area. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests and is responsible for coordinating and managing the lower-level inspectors. They will also apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations

• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials

• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes

• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and standards

• Assign, schedule and maintain subordinate inspection staff throughout all phases of the project
