JMT is seeking an Inspector to perform construction inspection of civil projects and building mechanical, electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to be assigned from the Pittsburgh, PA Office. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Inspecting all building systems, relating to heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems
Review and interpret plans, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with mechanical drawings and compliance with applicable mechanical/building codes
Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and safety standards
Communicate and provide recommendation for field issues/conflicts/changes to owner, architects, engineers, contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies
Consults with architects and engineers, HVAC contractors, builders, and homeowners on code requirements concerning HVAC systems.
Coordinate and monitor material testing, air balance testing and systems testing. Monitor Commissioning process including equipment testing, functional performance tests and building integration of inter-related systems. Monitor deficiency logs to assure follow up of re-testing and system performance.
Coordinate with existing maintenance staff and operations when utility outages, noise control, traffic control or security is required by the work. Attend pre-outage planning meetings
Monitor project close-out procedures including O&M manuals, as-builts, punchlists, and warranty walk-through. Issue punchlists for above ceiling, open wall and Substantial Completion inspections, and revisit to confirm completion of deficiencies
Maintain and review comprehensive project records including daily diaries, documentation of construction workforce, equipment, and materials records, inspection reports, project photos, as-built plans, pay quantity records, progress schedules, work orders and monthly payment estimates.
Coordinate with local health, safety, fire and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
Follow OSHA Guidelines to ensure safe working environment (lock-out/tag- out, maintain MSDS sheets etc.)

Compute estimates of work completed or of needed renovations or upgrades and approve payment for contractors

Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes
Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and standards
Assign, schedule and maintain subordinate inspection staff throughout all phases of the project
Work on behalf of the Client to draft project correspondence, facilitate project meetings, and resolve construction related field issues
Gathers and maintains record documents
Makes field notes and computations
Interact with the general public, government agencies, contractors, sub-contractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries

Position summary: Responsible for JMT's enterprise ProjectWise administration. The administrator is responsible for user support, project setup, maintain managed workspace's, workspace profiles, ProjectWise PowerShell Automation, and ProjectWise365 interoperability with the Microsoft 365 software technologies.
Essential functions and responsibilities
Demonstrate teamwork, consensus building, and good interpersonal skills with users, sub-contractors, clients, and project teams.
Provide management and configuration of ProjectWise enterprise software and integration with Bentley engineering tools and use.
Provide guidance and consultation relative to ProjectWise use on project delivery procedures for highway and transportation.
Provide ProjectWise user setup, project setup, assign user permissions, implement system updates, testing new versions of ProjectWise. Experience with ProjectWise workflow development, companywide automation, e.g., renditions.
Provide first-line technical support for cloud-based (SaaS) implementation of Bentley's ProjectWise and its association/integration with Bentley products (e.g., MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, OpenRoads Designer) and secondarily Autodesk products (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit,).
Work with internal Information Technology staff to maintain current software packages and standards within ProjectWise.
Integration of ProjectWise with Microsoft 365 Teams and SharePoint.
Support Bentley CONNECT Services for project teams. CONNECT Projects with ProjectWise repositories and setting up applicable CONNECT services.
Integrate client and DOT standards, workspaces\work areas, and other relevant content for project management.
Assist with maintaining the corporate CAD/BIM standards for Bentley MicroStation, GEOPAK, Inroads, and OpenRoads Designer. Maintain software configurations, templates, and deployments.
Work directly with the internal Information Technology staff, engineering staff and the CAD-BIM-Transportation Bentley and Autodesk User Groups to gather companywide needs and implement environments that improve project success and efficiency.
Collaborate with regional engineering technical leads on implementing ProjectWise with integrated CAD and BIM workflows. Train engineering technical leads on ProjectWise best practices and user support for users in their regions.
Recommend training options. Active involvement in the implementation and execution a companywide ProjectWise user training program. Identify and facilitate use of Bentley Learning tools, Connect, Bentley University, company CAD/BIM Resources, Microsoft 365 Teams, Wiki and SharePoint to share information:
Utilize and develop the SOP's, training videos, presentations, and other support media. Supporting and conducting group and individual training using various distance learning method is a requirement. Some onsite training for office implementations and project support will also be required.
Create and maintain ProjectWise and CAD environment support documentation, including software best practices, workflow guidelines, and system configuration documentation. Document integrations with the various CAD and BIM tools.
