JMT is seeking an Inspector to perform construction inspection of civil projects and building mechanical, electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to be assigned from the Pittsburgh, PA Office. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Inspecting all building systems, relating to heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems

• Review and interpret plans, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with mechanical drawings and compliance with applicable mechanical/building codes

• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and safety standards

• Communicate and provide recommendation for field issues/conflicts/changes to owner, architects, engineers, contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies

• Consults with architects and engineers, HVAC contractors, builders, and homeowners on code requirements concerning HVAC systems.

• Coordinate and monitor material testing, air balance testing and systems testing. Monitor Commissioning process including equipment testing, functional performance tests and building integration of inter-related systems. Monitor deficiency logs to assure follow up of re-testing and system performance.

• Coordinate with existing maintenance staff and operations when utility outages, noise control, traffic control or security is required by the work. Attend pre-outage planning meetings

• Monitor project close-out procedures including O&M manuals, as-builts, punchlists, and warranty walk-through. Issue punchlists for above ceiling, open wall and Substantial Completion inspections, and revisit to confirm completion of deficiencies

• Maintain and review comprehensive project records including daily diaries, documentation of construction workforce, equipment, and materials records, inspection reports, project photos, as-built plans, pay quantity records, progress schedules, work orders and monthly payment estimates.

• Coordinate with local health, safety, fire and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations

• Follow OSHA Guidelines to ensure safe working environment (lock-out/tag- out, maintain MSDS sheets etc.)

Vaughn & Melton, a JMT company, is currently seeking Construction Engineering Inspector (CEI) Technicians for their Asheville, Boone, Charlotte, New Bern, Raleigh, and Sylva, North Carolina offices. The successful candidates will inspect transportation structures and roadway construction projects using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with specification, codes, and other regulations. Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience who is interested in taking a leadership role within our Fire Protection engineering group. The successful candidate will be comfortable consulting to internal and external clients, including Federal/DOD, commercial air carrier airports, and transit systems. The Fire Protection Engineer will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high-level ability to manage multiple projects at one time. • Collaborate with regional engineering technical leads on implementing ProjectWise with integrated CAD and BIM workflows. Train engineering technical leads on ProjectWise best practices and user support for users in their regions.

• Recommend training options. Active involvement in the implementation and execution a companywide ProjectWise user training program. Identify and facilitate use of Bentley Learning tools, Connect, Bentley University, company CAD/BIM Resources, Microsoft 365 Teams, Wiki and SharePoint to share information:

• Utilize and develop the SOP's, training videos, presentations, and other support media. Supporting and conducting group and individual training using various distance learning method is a requirement. Some onsite training for office implementations and project support will also be required.

• Create and maintain ProjectWise and CAD environment support documentation, including software best practices, workflow guidelines, and system configuration documentation. Document integrations with the various CAD and BIM tools.

Required Skills

• Ability to integrate client workspaces, perform project setup in ProjectWise, workflow development, support for enterprise capabilities in ProjectWise, e.g., renditions.

• Demonstration and history of teamwork and good interpersonal skills with users, sub-contractors, clients, and project teams.

• General knowledge of PowerShell and Rest API

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Geopak, InRoads, Civil3D, Carlson, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Designer, and Microsoft Office integration with ProjectWise

• Knowledge of 3D modeling, civil design, and documentation production procedures

Required Experience

• Current and progressive experience in ProjectWise use on civil projects using Bentley software

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

• Bentley Accredited ProjectWise Administrator

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Work location is flexible but will require some travel to other offices in the US.
