Position summary: Responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope

  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects

  • Perform design computations

  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools

  • Develop construction cost estimates

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction

  • Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates

  • Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines

  • Develop extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals

  • Prepare proposals as required

Position summary: Manages and prepares documentation under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). Manages, directs, and oversees work of NEPA Specialists or Environmental Scientists.

  • Oversees and manages the preparation of NEPA documents including Categorical Exclusions (CE), Environmental Assessments (EA), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and/or sections of EAs and EISs
